The sound is great, it's also very durable. For a smaller speaker it has a lot of bass which is great.

It's super clear, I couldn't believe how loud it could get without distorting. The bass is better than expected, and I'm very pleased with the overall appearance.

Very pleased with this unit. Bass response is solid + the fidelity is great. I originally wanted an Infinity One but I think this is a good replacement. Some have said the bass sounds too boomy/enhanced at low volumes however I don't find that to be the case. This thing sounds great at any volume, even with Pandora over Bluetooth For reference, my main stereo is a Denon 4311 powering Paradigm speakers + an SVS sub and while physics won't allow a small unit like this to ever really compete with a full on stereo, the JBL holds its own for what it was designed to do. For those looking comparing this to the Bose Soundlink Mini, the JBL will easily overpower the Bose. Not a knock to the Bose, I think they are designed for different purposes. The JBL is easily double the size of the Bose unit...and the ends of the JBL are actual speakers so if you want this thing to be ultra small/travel friendly, then the Bose might have the edge.

This is the best sounding Bluetooth speaker around! Surprisingly loud, deep bass, holds an insanely long charge, pairs with another JBL extreme for even more volume and stereo sound, durable and pairs with your device super easily. Puts other Bluetooth speakers to shame! Do yourself a favor and just go get this thing already!

This is an amazing speaker. My husband had his eye on this one and when I caught it on sale I had to snag it for him. He is blown away with the performance and loves the style of the speaker as well. This thing really pumps and has an amazing sound for sure. Well worth the money.... I always believe you get what you pay for. I love that this has the waterproof zipper pouch to cover all of the inputs and ports to keep everything safe and secure. My husband also loves the strap and loves wearing it on his shoulder. He uses it constantly as he is a music lover.

I am beyond impressed with this speaker. I was very reluctant to spend that for a speaker but you get what you pay for. The bass is great and it's loud. The sound quality is impressive. It is much louder than it is set for in the store. I use it with my phone, it is easy to set up the Bluetooth. I would highly recommend this speaker. It is the best one I have found for its size.

By far the best speaker, battery life is great. can run it for hours at full volume. sound is good but not great. but for the size its great.

I recently had a Christmas party with 25-30 guests. I was able to play my iPod & other people could sync there phones up to the speaker via Bluetooth. The sound & quality is very good, it's not all crackley when I turn up the volume. It was like having a stereo system, but the speaker is small :)

I wanted a blue tooth speaker for my house and to take outside to my patio. I didn’t want to spend $300 on a bose. A co-worker suggested this brand and I read through the countless reviews and chose this one. The sound is so clear, crisp and powerful but most importantly the bass cranks. I bought this on cyber Monday and know I got a great deal in quality and price. This speaker is awesome to be played loud at parties or as background music during dinner. I’m extremely satisfied with it. I may even buy another for upstairs. Love it!!

This is one of the best speakers I have heard. Sounds great and loud enough for family get together. Great sound and water proof. No brainer

I get compliments on it all the time. very happy with it. not sure what i'd do without it. i use it at home, at the spa where i work, and at the soccer field to play loudly in large open spaces. very impressed and worth the extra bucks.

The sound is amazing. Has perfect bass but not overbearing. Don’t get me wrong, it has good bass. The treble sounds great and the full range of audio is super clear. I compared it to the insignia waterproof speaker (the one with the handle) and this one sounds twice as good. I considered returning this one and getttinf that insignia one because I like all of the features of it. But when I compared the sound of them next to each other, there is no way I’m returning my jbl. Love the sound of this thing.

The battery life is excellent. The sound quality at low and medium volume levels is great. It lacks some bass power at high volume and the mid range and highs overtake the scene. Also, if you have used the JBL Charge or JBL Charge3, your expectations in regard of output power will be high and might be a little disappointed. It is definitely a more powerful system than the charge and charge3, but the difference in power is not proportional to the difference in size. I think the biggest improvement obtained from the larger size is the extended battery life. Overall, it still is a very good buy for the current prices.

This Bluetooth speaker is worth it. Bass is good, clarity is better, and loud enough for everyone. Highly recommend

I purchased this on sale over the holidays for my family. We are music lovers, some of us audiophiles if you will; and this speaker sounds great with any music genre. The bass is deep but doesn't distort the trebles or vocals when the volume is turned up loudly. I'd buy another one if I had the spare change. Definitely recommend this over the Bose SoundLink speakers, I've had a few of those and they tend to die quickly, the battery life wears after a year of ownership.

Speaker is fantastic for filling up a medium size room with sound. The overall sound is full and bass is deep considering the size. I've used this outside also while working on some projects and it really projects sound well. The bass disappears a little more outside but still for how portable it is the sound is great. Would recommend to most people looking for a speaker to fill a room. It's not as portable as some of the smaller ones but you get a little larger sound.

Stronger bass than any other similar sized speaker. Highs are also very detailed and balanced. When listening for the first time, the bass will clearly stand out compared to anything you've listened to previously. There is a bass peak but it is pretty low in frequency so it does not sound like a mid-bass boost and it actually helps make kick drums and movie effects powerful. The mids and highs will be neutral, although as you listen at louder levels you can notice less distortion and fatigue, probably because of the bi-amping. Other handy functions such as USB charging work well. BT connectivity and distance also are strong, but can start cutting out if there is any interference such as a microwave in close proximity. Skin and visual appearance look and feel fabulous.

Speaker is easy to connect to other Bluetooth devices. The sound is great at all volumes. The bass is very strong, but does not overpower the highs. We listen to many different genres of music and all sound excellent. I have not paid attention to battery life, but have gone many days without having to charge it.

Features wise it's great I can answer the phone straight from the speaker. It can charge my phone . It has a good weight to it, played some music and people thought I had a super expensive sound system. I love the option to carry the speaker around. Jbl did a great job I can hear everything clearly and bass was great too. I probably will buy another one and try the dual speaker feature
