This is a replacement for the electric 4 element version which came with the house we purchased. JennAir did some nice modifications to this newer model. The downdraft now has a plastic catch tray closer to the top which makes it less likely to rust and easier to clean when you spill something down the vent opening. The grease filter is also smaller making it easier to clean. It would be nice if the exhaust fan below the unit had the option to configure the discharge on either side vs. just the left side. This would give you more flexibility for installation. The burners work great and give you a wide variety of highly controllable heat. It would also have been nice if the vent fan was made to have infinite speeds like the old model it replaced instead of three dedicated speeds. The only true negatives I have are the burner knobs were slightly misaligned upon removing the unit from the shipping packaging. I was able to get them almost perfect but had to push on them quite hard to move the valve bodies within the unit to get them to align with the mounting collars. The other issue was as others have stated, the gasket for sealing it to the counter top didn't come in the packaging and we had to order it from JennAir. It took a week and a half to get the seal. JennAir representatives were very nice and helpful but this issue should have been corrected by now and the gasket should have been expedited to us.

Gas Cooktop is awesome only the Grill doesn't fit right. If Grill fit right I would recommend it. Flame is good ignition is good

Okay cooktop and does its job. Ours arrived open box-damaged and Best Buy/Pacific Sales playing games replacing (delivery/install crews are different-not coordinating both, have come & fine 3 times with no resolution). Knobs works great but hard to keep area between clean. Cast metal flame emitter tips stain super easy and won’t come cleane. Use very mild cleaner on enamel to avoid scratches. Jen-Air should make a quality after-market protector to go in the burner well to help preserve/making cleaning easier. Grates or nice/look great but heavy to lift out and keep are under them clean. Too expensive for what you get… not much difference in price between higher end stuff.

This cooktop replaced the same cooktop in stainless I'd used for 15 years. I loved the old one but had worn it out. The black surface is very cool looking and easier to clean. Copper rings around the base of each burner look very rich. The burners seem to offer a wider range of heat levels and better control than the older model - operating at even lower temperatures. It is perfect for folks who love to cook and cook a lot but can't accommodate or afford a big expensive professional stove.

The cooktop is beautiful. However, the specs given to us were not accurate for installation. The installer had to come back a second time to cut notches into the countertop. That’s left us without a cooktop for a week. We had to pay an extra fee to our person doing our kitchen I have $150. That is very disappointing and we should be refunded some money. The specs say A measurement but do not account for the extra notches on each side of the cooktop that protrude out.

How about "Happy" every time we use it! I myself do not enjoy cooking but I have no problem using and/or bragging about my cooktop. It's very attractive and makes my island look great!

We looked extensively at all the major brands and models of cooktops for our kitchen remodel. We finally settled on this one as it's built with very high quality and the look and feel is great. Installation was a snap, fit and finish is great, and it really performs well. The only issue is these are a bit of a unicorn when trying to buy one. Everyone is months out to get one because of the pandemic related supply chain issues. Hats off to BBuy as they got us one with only 5-6 weeks wait! You guys rock!

Beautiful appearance, works wonderfully and easy to clean

Great appliance but just be aware that the metal under the black burner top caps is gold/brass. Photos displayed are not vivid enough to show this brilliant gold color.

This cooktop looks amazing once installed, easy to use and clean. Only complaint was how long it took to receive, but many other cooktop options were not even going to be in stock for months. Would highly recommend for any kitchen remodel or upgrade.

Excellent product, perhaps a little pricy but durability is unmatched. My first JennAir lasted 35 years and still works!

It was installed perfectly. It is just what we want. Everyone is real happy about the appliance.

Looks great. Very nice range of burner sizes. Live the downdraft vent. Was able to tile entire wall behind cooktop and install water faucet for filling large pots.

We really like our new JennAir Built-in Gas Cooktop. The installers were very professional, and we've been enjoying the cooktop since it was installed a couple months ago.

Love this cooktop which replaced an aging top. This one seems to cook faster and hotter, so there is some adjustment to be made.

It as hard to find a stove top of this size and there weren't a lot of choices but overall it seems to be of good quality.

Best price, and easy install, I love this stove! Going from electric to gas was the best decision ever. The employees was the friendliest ever, that always makes your day go better when it starts out with friendly employees!
