Product (stainless steel) what we saw at the store and online in the pictures is not what was delivered. Lettering is barely visible on the stainless steel model. The granite counters around get very hot after cooking. We thought it was a defect with the unit regarding faint lettering and ordered the same as replacement. But when the replacement came in, we had the person open the box before installation and found the lettering is also faint at which point the installation person (on the 2nd vist) mentioned that he has installed a bunch of these and the lettering is faint in the stainless steel models. With the installation person who installed it first had mentioned it so we could order a black model. As counter tops were getting very hot, when i ordered the replacement, i mentioned about the heat transferring to counters and bestbuy told me they will instruct the installation person to install a tape/foam seal between the cooktop and the granite counters to reduce heat transfer but installation person said that they recieved no such instructions from bestbuy. If they hadn't hauled away our old GE Profile downdraft cooktop, we would have just cancelled it. JennAir products aren't what they claim and bestbuy experience hasn't been good so far. On the exhaust fan, even at the lowest level, it pulls the flame away and causes uneven cooking. Attaching a couple of pics on the lettering. Knobs were bent (which the installation person tried to straighten) and I was told it is a manufacturing defect. We were told by sales person that JennAir is better than KitchenAid (same exact model) but at a bit higher price but we don't agree with what we have seen so far.

The first one delivered had a major flaw with the knobs. All were off center from the base. I had to go into Best Buy to get help because their automated phone system wouldn’t put me through to the store. It kept routing me to customer service, who couldn’t help me. Best Buy did swap with a new one at no charge. Waited 2 weeks for another to be swapped out. I kept the 2nd one even though one of the knobs was still off center. Jenn-Air needs to improve their quality control as this was a manufacturing defect when these were put together in the factory. I needed the 30” with downdraft and couldn’t find another brand that had the brass burners, otherwise I would have ordered a different brand. An expensive product that should match with high quality but didn’t.

Fantastic stove top by JennAir. Last one lasted 20+ years. Burners work great and exhaust fan is incredible. Easy to install fit into exiting opening in my granite counter top. Will not be disappointed. Looks great/sexy in the kitchen

I was so excited to have my new range top delivered and installed before the Thanksgiving holiday! The installation took less than hour and they cleaned up after the process was completed. The same team that performed the pre-measure also installed the unit so there were no surprises! They went over the controls and features prior to sign off of job completion. I am very pleased with the entire process. Job well done.

The cooktop is working great! It was installed without any problems. The only reason I gave it 4 stores is the markings showing low to high are very faint and a little hard to see. Otherwise a great product.

Jenn air 30 inch downdraft cook top’s brass burners discolored in 3 days like black carbon. I am not happy with the Jenn air product. Material is poor quality. When I called Jenn air they refused to send service people and they said our brass burners discolour. Very unprofessional answers. I would NOT recommend this to anyone. It’s waist of money and frustrating.

Perfect item, my wife love it, product it self is good but installation experience was terrible

I purchased this to replace the exact same product and was surprised to find it available - I have granite countertops and needed the exact same size. The JennAir cooktop has excellent heat control, easy to clean and the upgraded lighted knobs is a plus. I only replaced the cooktop because mine had developed a gas leak and the part to fix it was not available until December, if then. This is an excellent product for the price, and the quality is outstanding.

A low profile excellent gas cooktop. Metal knobs won't get hot like the last one (kitchenaid cooktop) we owned. Steel finish easy to clean & maintain. Bottom line, wife loved it.

What a beauty. Love the performance and look of the new stove top. This replaced an Amanda downdraft and popped right into place on our counter. The only thing I do not like is the placement of the knobs. They get splattered when you use the burners next to them. Easy to clean

I've had this JennAir 30" cooktop for about one month. We purchased it after our previous JennAir cooktop died after over 20 years of service. Overall, I'm generally happy with the product. My biggest complaint is that when you turn on the burners, they go to the highest flame first. You must turn the dials counterclockwise to get to the lowest flame, which is counterintuitive ... and the simmer flame level is not a true simmer. It's runs too hot. My previous JennAir did not have this issue. Unfortunately, there are a limited amount of 30" downdraft cooktops on the market to choose from. I read ALL the reviews for the different manufacturers and finally settled on this one. The stainless steel is easy to clean and the unit looks great.

We had to replace the sheet metal screws with flat heads in order to fit it into the countertop cutout. The cutout was exactly the dimensions listed in the manual. Another option (for anyone else) is to increase the cutout by 1/16” to get passed the screw heads. Also, manual calls for foam seal to be installed around the rim (between cooktop and countertop). But it didn’t come with the seal. I did call them and they did send them; except it was quite short and I had to call them again and ask to send three more packages. Otherwise I would have given this five star.

Cooking has been easy so far, but still a new product. Box did not have necessary adapters

We love our new JennAire cooktop and the whole experience of buying from BestBuy! Cooktop price was as good as any on the net. Was installing the cooktop as a replacement for an old Jenn Aire cooktop. Best buy offered a free pre-measurement so I did not have to worry about it fitting into our granite countertop. Installation was timely and problem free. A great overall experience.

I recently converted to this from an electric downdraft stovetop. The gas burners are very powerful, especially the 17,000 BTU one. Even the smallest one easily cooks anything I need. It came with a propane converter so it was installation ready. It is a perfect design for island cooktops.

It is everything we were wanting in a new stovetop.

We studied different 30" gas cooktops with downdrafts and of the limited ones available through different vendors, we decided to upgrade to this finer JennAir unit. We also purchased the installation service which turned out to be outside contractors, not Best Buy employees. After 3 months and looking into the slight smell under the cabinet, we just hired a retired gas company man to repair the small gas leak where the contract workers overtightened the new connection hose. After replacing the PSI regulator (original to the 16 year old house ), the connection hose and the valve for $375 we are SAFELY "cooking with gas"! We still love this premium unit ... you should try these different BTU burners with different capabilities. It will change your COOKTOP life. This was a nice step up for a gas cooktop.
