    It's a decent unit for a decent price, and super-easy to use. The external microphone is not very high-quality but it works just fine, as does the internal microphone. We use it for non-professional purposes such as dictation or just for fun, It's a little too big to carry around, but it will capture sound within the room if you put it in a central location.

    I had found my box of tapes and decided to try and find a player so, off to Best Buy I went, It cam in quickly and sounds wonderful! So much fun and very good quality of sound. Completely happy with this deck!

    It did not meet my needs. Recorded and after recording on both sides of tape and tried to play both sides play at the same time so you just get garble. I was disappointed and really like the style and size. Play button would not stay down, would pop up after about 2 minutes or less. Thought I would get more from Jensen.

    Wish I had looked further for reviews. On amazon over & over it says it just stopped working .. and it did for me too. I waited 3 weeks to get the silly thing & it worked the first day when I tested it. 3 weeks later when I had the time to record my cassettes to my computer (using an aux cable) na-da! it rewinds & FF but wont play... just sits there & hums... tried 4 cassettes & doing it with the cable & without & nothing... returning.. I mean it is only a cassette player... it only does 1 thing and so one would expect it to actually do that. The amazon reviews says about 30% of them do this. DO NOT BUY

    After spending $10 for tapes and $5 for batteries... we had company over and recorded one side of a tape. It ate the tape, couldn’t eject it. Wouldn’t rewind without holding the button down. Doesn’t work at all now, just makes a noise

    This Jensen Recorder is just what we needed --an old-style (and hard to find) recorder to allow taping of messages saved for several years on our old-style telephone. Thanks, Best Buy !!!
