I really like this portable air conditioner! It works with the Smart Life app through wifi. I have my home integrated with Smart Life devices (plugs, cameras, window sensors, alarm system) so this is a huge bonus for me. It doesn’t say here that this portable a/c works with wifi, but I researched before choosing one and found out that is does in fact have wifi connectability. I thought I’d just use the JHS app, but it turns out that it is Smart Life compatible so I got super excited when I was setting it up. Smart Life also can be linked to Alexa (or Google if you use that) so I can control it from my Amazon Alexa devices. I’ve absolutely geeked out over this. I also have Smart Life automations and shortcut buttons on my phone when I’m away to turn things off and on, set the alarm system, etc. Now I have shortcuts for my a/c and I can cool my home before I actually get home!! That’s exactly what I wanted! Woohoo! I also like the front oscillation instead of the top oscillation. Here are the reasons I only gave it four stars: 1) The remote it comes with is very cheap and old school. It doesn’t even match the appearance of the air conditioner itself which is odd to me. I don’t even want to use it. 2) The duct and duct attachments were a hassle to put together; however, the actual window vent is slim which I like. It would be nice if the duct could clip in to the window vent and the back of the a/c. 3) The top of the portable a/c where the controls are is scuffed up a bit, but barely noticeable from most angles. Still, it’s brand new so that’s not okay. 4) The directions for wifi set up were not easy to understand. It tells you to reset the a/c until the light blinks fast in order to link the wifi in-app, but there’s no reset button. I tried holding down the power button, but that only turned it off and on repeatedly. After playing around with the buttons for a few minutes I figured out that you hold down the wifi button about 10 seconds until it blinks quickly. I thought it was just a light not a button at first because when you press it once or twice, it does nothing. I only thought to press it for 10 seconds because that’s how all of my other Smart Life devices link through wifi. The directions should clearly state how to do this since there’s no way to “reset” the a/c like it says in the directions. The value of it to me is worth much more than the negatives I listed. They are minor issues. Overall, I think this is a great portable air conditioner. It’s affordable and works great, with or without the wifi.

It works fine, it came with missing parts, representative wanted me to return the unit so that I could get a new one. I informed her that it was heavy and I didn’t want to carry it. All I wanted was for the missing parts to be sent to me but apparently it was not possible. So I have none.

Inwas looking for something for my daughters room that was not too bulky and this is perfect. Very happy with this purchase, works amazing.
