Good speaker but the reason I purchased it was because I thought it had an auxiliary input. I wanted a small speaker for my guitar modelers. Required an aux connection.

I picked the JLab Go Party Bluetooth Speaker after comparing it with a few other portable speakers in the same price range from other competitors. What stood out to me was the combination of sound quality, RGB lighting, app control, and battery life at this price point. Many others either had good sound with no lights, or lights but weaker audio. This felt like the best overall value. Pros: More powerful sound for the size Customizable RGB lights (not just fixed colors) App support for EQ and settings Long battery life Reasonable price compared to big-name brands Sound Quality The sound is surprisingly loud and clear for a portable speaker. The dual drivers and passive woofers give it strong bass without distortion, even at higher volumes. Vocals are clear, and highs don’t sound harsh. I use it daily, and it easily fills a room. I even take it into the bathroom while showering and can still hear everything clearly over running water. Fit, Size, and Portability It’s not super lightweight, but that actually feels like a good thing. The weight gives it a solid, sturdy feel, not cheap or hollow. It’s still easy to carry thanks to the built-in loop handle. I can easily take it to the beach, gym room, or move it around the house. Color and Design I got the black version, and it looks clean and modern. The RGB lighting is bright and fun without being overwhelming. You can change colors, patterns, and speed using the app, which is great for different moods—casual listening or a small party. Ease of use & Installation Setup is extremely easy. As soon as I turned it on, it said “ready to pair,” and my laptop and phone recognized it instantly. Bluetooth connection is fast and stable. The controls on top are simple, and I really like the large volume knob. Pressing it to play or pause is very convenient. App experience The JLab app is easy to use and has options to Adjust EQ (Signature, Balanced, Bass Boost) Customize RGB lighting Change voice prompts and controls Battery life Battery life is very good. I didn’t time it exactly, but it feels close to the advertised hours (less with lights on). Charging is fairly quick, and you can use it again without waiting long. Waterproofing It’s rated IP56. I haven’t fully tested water exposure, but it handles bathroom steam and splashes without any issues. I wouldn’t worry about light rain or poolside use. Bluetooth only (no AUX input). This works fine for me, but good to know if wired connection matters to you. Slightly heavier than expected, but that adds to durability. Value for money For the price, this speaker delivers excellent value. You get strong sound, fun lighting, long battery life, solid build quality, and app customization—all in one package. Overall, this is a great everyday speaker with party features when you need them. If you want loud, clear sound, customizable lights, easy setup, and good battery life without overpaying, the JLab Go Party speaker is a solid choice.

JLab Go Party Bluetooth Speaker w/RGB Lighting

So I've been testing out the new JLab Go Party Bluetooth Speaker the last couple weeks and have thoroughly enjoyed using it. It is very easy to use and for the price range, sounds just as good. To me JLab has always been that company that makes really good products (some may say are on the lower end of quality, but I beg to differ). And this speaker is no exception. First off the build quality of this speaker is amazing. Its cylindrical body has a nice feel and its very portable. The outer covering is of a mesh type cloth that cover the speaker all the way around. Also included for its portability is a hand strap on the backside of it. Above the strap on the back is the USB-C charging port. Note: A USB-C cable is NOT included in the package. JLab like most tech companies nowadays have stop shipping cables/chargers with certain devices. Not like we don't all have an influx of cable/chargers laying around. On top of the speaker is 3 push buttons and one larger dial/button. You can go back or move forwards in tracks and using the big dial turn up/down the volume. And to mute, simply press the big knob down. I have been using this speaker almost non-stop over the last couple of weeks and we have enjoyed it - it arrived around the new year so we've been jamming to it daily. Ands the runtime is rated for around 16 hours of playback and possibly more if you turn off the RGB lights. You can also download the JLab companion app which also lets you tweak its settings as well as change up the RGB lighting to your liking. You can also check for firmware updates through the JLab app as well. Now when it comes to sound, you get what you pay for, and lets be honest, while this speaker isn't gonna power or sound like you're at a full concert auditorium, but it does make house parties and gatherings just as fun. For the price range, it has just enough power and bass to get the party jumping. I would recommend this speaker to anyone looking for an easy and fun to use portable speaker. Oh and it also takes phone calls with the included mic. So yeah you can't go wrong with this speaker.

Verdict: I like JLab from a few earbuds I own. I think they make good quality and affordable sound products. This is the case again for the Go Party speaker: it’s affordable, good quality, and great value for what you get. I think it’s important to manage expectations… this is not a speaker to run a large party! But it will do great in smaller environments or situations where portability is required. Initial Impressions. It’s small enough to easy carry by hand or put in any bag. It’s also big enough to no be easily lost. It’s quite light-weight. The lights are cool! Setup. Getting started is as easy as expected for a bluetooth device: power on, find the Party Go in your phone’s BT settings, and that’s it! App. I already had the JLab app on my cell phone, but if you don’t, I recommend installing it to get more capabilities from your speakers. The app is nicely designed, simple, and intuitive. Through the app, you can control the lights (ample options for customization, it’s actually really neat!), link to other Go Party speakers, adjust the equalizer (including bass boost), control power and battery settings, etc. Performance. The sound is ok - in all more than accetable for the size and price point of the speakers. Enjoyable volume is decent, easily filling a small room. Louder performance struggles in quality and in reach. Please note that if you are buying this and expect it to run a large party… that’s not going to happen, even with another 10 Party Go speakers. Considering the use case for this speaker is important for managing expectations. This is a highly portable speaker that is decently resistant to the elements with great battery life, a great app, cool lights, and decent sound quality and volume for a small environment - to take the the beach, throw in a backpack, etc. Things I love: - The price is really good - Simple and easy physical controls - Ability to sync with other Go Party speakers (up to 100), thats AWESOME! - IP56 Rating, for water, dust, and sand resistance - I like the loop strap; I can hook the speaker to my backpack with a small carabiner - Convenient volume knob - Good battery life without the lights, and still fairly decent when using the lights - USB-C charging Things to consider: - Sound is not the greatest, so manage expectations, but again, consider the price point! Overall, the JLab Go Party speaker is a great value for the money. I would highly recommend this speaker, especially for some use cases. For example, we are considering buying one or two more of these to get surround sound on a small patio.

JLab audio gear generally strives to offer consumers the best bang for their buck, and the Go Party Speaker continues that trend. The design and build quality of the speaker both receive top marks from me. It's simple and somewhat understated, but still looks reasonably classy. And the decision to opt for an actual volume knob rather than the buttons so many designs prefer these days wins a lot of points, as it significantly easier to adjust in environments where the lighting may not be ideal and just feels nicer in some undefinable way. The RGB effects are also surprisingly well realized, with a pretty broad range of colors available and a diffusion layer that does a great job blending more complex effects together. It's not particularly bright, you could certainly get into scenarios where they're overwhelmed in direct sunlight, but for most of the environments where I imagine this will be used it's more than sufficient. And battery life is downright fantastic. The box claims sixteen hours, which in my testing seemed like it might actually be a bit conservative. Since historically I pretty much never remember to recharge my portable audio devices until they've run out on me it's good to have one that's got enough endurance for multiple outings, and I imagine that many looking for a good option to bring camping or anywhere else that charging may not be feasible will find this to be a major selling point. Unfortunately I did find myself a bit more mixed in regards to audio quality. It's not bad, exactly, but it's not great either. It can get plenty loud but regardless of settings the audio feels somewhat flat, much like what you'd get just playing music on your phone. Bass heavy content definitely suffers the most, but even with spoken word content I could just tell something wasn't quite there, and no amount of fiddling with the app was enough to dial it in. If you do just need loud music though it's going to do the job, particularly if you make use of the sync feature to pair multiple JBL speakers together.

This JLab Go Party speaker has a lot to offer for a very reasonable price. Even for a great value the quality of the materials and build seems very solid and durable. I like the media knob control as its easily identifiable and a simple turn of the knob decreases or increases the volume. Additional functions top controls allow for pausing, advancing, syncing to Bluetooth and utilizing LabSync. LabSync allows one to sync multiple JLab speakers and it tops out at 100 speakers which is pretty amazing. Utilize the app to specify a speaker as left or right to create a 2-channel stereo system. Throw in the RGB lighting feature of this speaker to up the party atmosphere. Access the app to customize the RGB lighting, sound and controls to suit one’s own preference. Sound modifications can also be as easy as utilizing the EQ4 presets of JLab Signature, Balance or Bass Boost. It’s quite impressive that the Go Party speaker can play for 16 hours on a full charge, but this will drop to 8+ hours when using the RGB lighting feature. Portability isn’t an issue either with a size that is about four inches longer than a soda can and the built in loop makes for easy carrying or hanging. The IPX6 waterproof rating provides for worry free use around pools, the beach or party drinks. Calls can be taken with the inclusion of a built-in microphone so it makes for handy use around the office or home. One great idea for this speaker would be to use them as a great party gift for guests. Once the party is over and everyone has enjoyed the music over multiple synced JLab speakers just send them on their way with a Go Party speaker gift! Perfect and fun idea for adults or kids that doesn’t break the bank. This is a fun speaker that offers a nice variety of features at a great price.

Out of the box this speaker has been a bunch of fun to play with and use around the house and on the go. The first thing that I was wondering was how it sounds and don't let the small size fool you... it actually sounds really good and can be turned up very loud. The treble is good and the base is decent. Obviously it's not a thundering bass sound but if you paired up a few of these you definitely would have some good sound and I'll be getting another one to pair up with this one using the app. I couldn't imagine what it'd be like to pair a bunch of them at the same time but I think it would be the start to a party! The JLab app is pretty good and of course is where you can control this speaker and pair additional ones to it. There are EQ settings and the ability to control the RGB lighting as well. It also supports the fast pairing where if you turn it on, newer phones should see it and let you pair quickly and easily. The controls on the top are easy to use and the strap is handy. Unlike other speakers I have, this one is small and light and yet lasts all day on charge. It doesn't come with a charger, but uses USB-C so you can just use the same one you use to charge your phone which makes it easy to keep it topped up. I really couldn't find anything about this little speaker that I didn't like, and would absolutely recommend it if you're looking for a small one that just works. Granted, there are larger ones with louder bass, but for the size, I was not disappointed at all and I am sure with two (or more) together they'd put on a good show of sound. Very few of these, just turn on, and work without fuss and this is one of them. I'd absolutely recommend giving it a try.

This speaker isn't going to blow anyone's socks off but it's not very expensive and is definitely serviceable for most of your needs. If you're looking for some bass, though, steer clear. Setup is as simple as any bluetooth speaker. Hold the power button and it lets your know it's ready to pair. Just select the device in your bluetooth settings and you're ready to go! There's a mobile app if you want to update your firmware and adjust things like the custom EQ settings or turning off the light or voice prompts. Everyday controls can be accessed on the device, though. The speaker, overall, sounds pretty OK. It's not going to blow your socks off or anything but it sounds fine. Aside from the bass. If you're looking for any sort of bass, you aren't going to find it here. That's the main thing I noticed when playing a song with any kind of bass to it. It's not the end of the world because the rest of the sound is good enough, you just aren't going to go thumping with this one. Controls are pretty simple on the device. There's a knob for volume that clicks in to play/pause. You have arrows that navigate tracks (or if you hold them both for a second, changes the EQ). If you have more than one speaker, you can also hold the knob down to pair it with their JLab sync functionality, but I wasn't able to test this out. Bottom line, this is a low cost bluetooth speaker. It sounds good enough for that. You won't get much bass at all so if you're looking for something to shake the table you're playing it on, look elsewhere. If you just want an inexpensive speaker that sounds good enough, give this one a look.

The JLab Go Party is a great sounding portable blue tooth speaker. At only 8" tall (and 3x3) it's small enough to take anywhere - it even has a built in rubberized carrying strap. It's capable of up to 16 hours of battery life (8 hours with the lights) and I can say that after 7+ hours of nonstop play, mine was still at medium battery life and it can be recharged in about 3 hours. Although it only has 10 watts of power, the dual 2" full-range drivers and dual 2" passive woofers produce great sound with decent bass and clear highs. You can also utilize the custom EQ features in the JLab app, as well as adjust the RGB lighting. Since it's IP56 waterproof rated, it's great for outdoors and/or around the pool. Using the LabSync feature, you can pair up to 100 speakers for a great party-like atmosphere. You can also designate speakers as left or right for true stereo sound. I was surprised to see that the package did not include a charging cord but it arrived fully charged so I was able to enjoy it straight out of the box. Since it uses a USBC cable and only requires 5 watts, I was able to easily use a cable from another device. This also helps reduce the number of charging cables I have in the kitchen junk drawer! It's not the level of sound quality of some of the $200-300 speakers but I didn't expect it to be. However, it's an exceptional value, sounds great, and is one that I could take with me anywhere!

Good Indoor Quality Sound for a Party of 4

This speaker has really good sound for its size. It’s about the same size as a 20 oz tumbler, so it’s super easy to carry around for parties on the go. The RGB lighting on top is a fun touch. My 4 month old actually loves watching the colors change while listening to his favorite tunes. You can customize the lighting in the app to fit your mood, or just turn it off completely if you’re trying to keep the room dark. For the technical side, it has two 1.75-inch full-range drivers and two passive woofers. The sound quality is solid, but once you start pushing it to those higher volumes, you definitely start to hear some distortion. Because of that, I feel like you’d really need to use the LabSync feature to connect multiple speakers if you’re trying to use this in a loud outdoor environment or a big party. It’s rated IPX6 waterproof, so you don't have to worry about it getting splashed or caught in the rain, but I think it really shines in an indoor setting. In a living room or bedroom, you can keep the volume at a comfortable level where it sounds clear without needing a second speaker. I will say, if you're in a noisy party environment, I’m not sure just one of these is going to be enough to really fill the space. But if you're just hanging out with a small family of three or four in your own home, this speaker definitely gets the job done.

I am a big JLAB Fan, they really produce a quality product with incredible sound. This speaker is no exception. I travel for my work and like to have music wherever I go. I needed something lightweight but could produce great rich sounds. If you need a speaker to fill a room in your house or on the go to the park or pool, this is the one you want. Easy to transport, easy to connect to your device and incredible rich sound. It is always a good idea to fully charge the device when you first unbox it. Once fully charged it should get close to 16 hours of playback time. Pairing is super easy. Power the spark on, then go to your bluetooth settings on your mobile device and search for JLAB Go Party Speakers. Easy! LIkely there will be a firmware update to complete as well, this is pretty common so allow it to update before you start using the speaker. There is a JLAB app which allows you to control the RGB lighting as well as the EQ Settings to fine tune your listening experience. You can even connect more than one JLAB speaker at a time through the app so you can have a truly immersive experience.

I’ve been using the JLab Go Party for a few days and really like it. It puts out a surprisingly nice sound for a relatively compact size. Vocals are clear, and the speaker gets loud enough for use in large rooms or outdoors. The bass isn’t super impressive, but it’s good enough that music sounds full and enjoyable rather hollow. I didn’t think I would get much use out of the built-in light effects, but they do add a bit of fun, especially when playing music for my kid. Setup was quick and easy, the controls are intuitive, and the volume knob is very convenient (and feels a bit retro with most things being buttons or even touch these days). I haven’t had a chance to try the “LabSync” option to link it with other JLab speakers but it sounds interesting. I might pick up another one and set it up to get more sound or true stereo. Battery life has been impressive – lasting long enough for use all day. I also like that the Go Party seems solid enough to toss in a bag without worrying about it getting broken. This speaker is easy to recommend for casual, every-day use. It’s simple, works as advertised, and comes at a very accessible price point.

This JLAB speaker was a nice surprise. When comparing price point to quality, it’s probably the best portable speaker “bang for your buck” that I’ve come across. While I usually prefer higher end speakers, I was pleasantly surprised at the features and sound quality. I’ve had wireless ear buds from JLAB and love them! The JLAB go party speaker is lightweight and portable. It easily fits in a backpack or purse to take on the go. It fits great in my golf bag! JLAB has an app to customize EQ settings and lighting. I played around with it but found that the basic setting is best as the speaker doesn’t pack much punch for bass. The lighting is a nice touch but I honestly could have done without it. The lighting also cuts the battery life from 16 hours to 8 so I prefer not to use it. Charging was simple. It has a strap for easy handling. It’s also waterproof but I’m always too nervous to test out these claims on any electronic device lol It comes in black, blue and pink but black was my favorite color choice.

This speaker has almost every great feature I would want in a portable speaker of this size. USB-C charging - check; ability to control almost every aspect of the sound using the buttons (without having to mess about in the app every time - check; slim enough form factor to easily carry in 1 hand (plus an easy carry anti slip handle) - check; easy, smooth , non-finicky connectivity - check. But alas, I just cannot for the life of me make it sound good to me. It just doesn't have that full sound, especially on the lower frequencies. The bass just sounds hollow. It has 2 pre-configured equalizer settings , both of which I have tried. Plus the App allows you to configure your own 10band equalizer, so theoretically you can make it sound pretty much the way you want it to, so perhaps someone better at audio configs can share a good equalizer setting for it. Honestly the ability to do a 10 band custom equalizer at this price point should not be taken for granted either, so I am glad JLab at least provides that option. The app also allows you to set a few RGB light settings and quite a few of them do a bang up job syncing with the music. My kid loves to play around with the settings, they can even be changed directly from the buttons on the speaker. In the app you can also turn off the voice prompts if they are not your cup of tea. As I mentioned in the beginning its a decent portable speaker, even with the "okayish" sound quality, we still use it frequently - because its light weight (without feeling cheap), so its easy to carry around, the buttons are responsive with great haptics, especially the knob for volume, and the connectivity every single time is seamless. Making it very convenient for almost all occasions.

The speaker isn’t gonna win any audiophile awards. The bass response is muddy, almost nonexistent at times while the mids and highs can’t quite punch through. It’s clear that this device was made to almost be disposable. The LED party lights are a wasted feature for me at least. I don’t feel the need to have my little portable speaker feature RGB LEDs and I would much rather the manufacturer reflect the omission in the overall unit price. The size of the speaker is just right though for portability and I do like the overall design. A can/bottle design. You can expect about 20 hours of music playback and a little more if you don’t turn on the lights. I do really appreciate that it charges via USB-C and not micro USB. The bottom speaker is exposed so you may want to keep children away from it as well as water but splashing should be OK as long as it’s not too big of a wave. Submersion, however, is out of the question. This is a great device to fill the need for music in a small room. Using this speaker outdoors or at the beach is pointless as I am unable to decipher the music output.
