I got this for my petite wife to use while she was in the dentist chair. She needed something other than ear buds. She wanted something that covered her ears but was small enough to not get in the way. It worked great!

Once I got the right connectors, it works very well for the price. Over ear is much better for blocking room noise and provides both good sound quality and comfort

Legitimately good headphones for kids!

These JLab JBuddies Pro Wireless headphones are a legitimately good pair of headphones for kids, and they have features that make them specifically great. The size, design, lightweightness, and ease-of-use are all great. They fit my 7 year-old's head great, and they can even be expanded to feel comfortable on my extra-large adult noggin (ball cap size 7 5/8).
The drivers are nicely tuned with an even frequency response, plus a little touch of bass bounciness, and the maximum volume setting keeps kids from damaging their hearing. The one-page user guide that comes in the box says there is a switch under the fabric in the right ear cup that allows parents to choose between 85 and 95 dB maximum volumes, but I was unable to find it, and I didn't want to try removing the pad to figure it out.
As mentioned above, the headphones are very lightweight, which is a plus for kids who might complain about having to wear a heavy pair of headphones. That probably means the battery inside is on the small side, but my kid has used these for several hours and they're still kicking. When they do need a charge, the JBuddies Pro connect to USB-C, which is VERY welcome in this day and age (SO glad to move away from micro USB).
Pairing via Bluetooth was very easy and without issues, and the headphones stay connected without trouble. Each ear cup features a 3.5-mm headphone input/output jack, both of which allow kids to connect to wired a headphone port or share the sound from their headphones to a second or third set of phones.
The ear pads are soft and squishy, and they feel like they'll last a while. I'm a little concerned that the foam under the headband is of a lesser quality; it feels a little crunchy and I can imagine it wearing out in a year or two of use.
My final concern has to do with the control buttons. They all work very well, but they're quite stiff and clicky, and the sound of their clicks reverberates through the headphone body when you press them. I'd say it's likely the clicking sound the buttons make is louder than the default maximum volume!
Final thoughts: I am very glad to have the headphones for my kid. As newer phones come without headphone jacks, it's essential to have a good pair of Bluetooth headphones that kids can use, and I see these lasting for a couple of years without issue. Recommended.

It seemed like these would be great, unfortunately, on our road trip our car caught fire and the headphones went up with the entire car and most of our belongings. But for the short time we had them, they worked very well.

The JBuddies Pro wireless over the ear headphones are perfect for your little one. They are at a great price point in case they get lost or broken. But they are also fairly substantial and feel well made for the kid that is harder on things.
But better than the quality of build is the safety feature that is integrated. That’s what hooked me. The headphones will not go louder than 85 db, helping ensure your child’s hearing is not affected if the decide to turn the volume all the way up. There is a volume toggle where you can bump it up to 95 db max, but I don’t see the need for my child.
As far as comfort, I ask my daughter and she says they are great. That’s relative, but there are a few features that make them more adjustable than many other budget friendly earphones. First off the cup molds are very soft and form around the ears nicely. They do a great job blocking out sound and maintaining comfort. The hinges are also adjustable and make things even easier to customize for your child. I like that.
The earphones are also Bluetooth or have the option to plug them in. It comes with the cord to plug them in and if you want to go Bluetooth you get a 35 hour battery life. That’s really good.
The sound quality is decent and I would say on par for something in this price range. But given the fact they cup the ears so well they almost give a noise cancelling affect, which in turn gives you a better quality of sound.
The earphones can be controlled on your device or with the buttons on the bottom of the ear cup. Very simple intersect and easy for the kids to catch on.
At the end of the day, I would definitely get another pair of these if I were to need another set. Mainly for the safety features and second for the quality you are getting at their price range. I recommend these to any like minded parents that have the same concerns.

Headphones are good but the cable could be better. Moving/turning the cable will cause the volume to decrease or lose audio on one side.
