    Perfect for school aged kids

I ordered these for my 10 year old who is headed into fifth grade and needed some headphones for school to pair with his laptop. I really like that they are wired and wireless capable and I also appreciate that they can be recharged using a USB-C cable as opposed to a micro usb. We have a ton of USB-C’s around our house so it’s always easy to find one. They are very lightweight and extremely comfortable to wear. Pairing was quick and simple and took about 15 seconds from start to finish with my iPhone and the headphones were fully charged when I took them out of the box which allowed me to test them without having to charge them first. The sound quality isn’t top tier, but I wouldn’t expect them to be, nor do I need them to be for my son’s usage. I’m not sure if it’s intentional, but even after cranking the volume all the me way up on my phone, the sound seem to be limited. To some this may not sit well, but I’m glad that the volume can’t be cranked up to a level that may cause hearing damage. In my opinion, these are perfect for school aged kids. They are super portable, lightweight and Has great battery life. I haven’t run them down yet, so I don’t know how long it will take to re-charge them, but with the included aux cord, they can be plugged into the headphone jack on his computer to use. Overall, I like these and ditto for my 10 year old.

I was very surprised when these arrived. So they come in the usual blue packaging that all JLab devices come in, once removed from the box is when I became quite impressed. These are built extremely well. I expected them to be rather flimsy and cheap feeling, but, they're not. The build quality on these is excellent, much better than some adult headphones costing over $100. They are made of plastic but its not a cheap hollow plastic. they don't seem to creek much or crack unless you twist them under pressure, the ear cups themselves have a nice feel to them and a good size for over the ear. the soft cushions are also nice and don't seem to cause heat when being used. You can use these wired or wireless which is great. they are easy to pair and sound quite good. They are loud enough without being too loud and offer a good quality sound. They have decent lows and pretty good mids for a kids headphones. Overall very good. Battery seems to last for a while too so its nice not to have to constantly worry about that. I have an autistic 3 year old and he loves these. He can wear them for a couple of hours without then bothering him at all. He loves to listen top his educational shows and videos through these. Overall these are great over headphones for children, they do say for 8 year olds but my little boy loves them Highly recommneded

Great wireless BT headset for the kids

This wireless bluetooth headset for kids is one of JLabs best products out there. Originally retailing for $34.99, you now can get it somewhere in the mid $20s. I got this for my nephew and he totally loves it. Its the perfect size for him and his little sister. Completely adjustable to their heads. I did try them on and they fit snuggly at the max size setting (for testing purposes). They sound really great with a descent tone range, but nothing over the top (20Hz-20kHz). This headset comes with a volume limiter which is the best idea to prevent early hearing loss (85dB/ 95 dB). They come with a built in microphone in the right ear cup. The headset is rechargeable via usb-c cable (which is included). The battery lasted over 30 hours but is advertised to last up to 35+ and it took about an hour to charge it fully from dead. It also comes with another AUX cable that you can hook it up to another set of headphones by JLab or for plugging in straight to a music source. This feature is called shard mode. I didn't have another headset to test this feature out. You can control the music and power right on the headphones. Paring was pretty easy and it came fully charged straight out of the box. I highly recommend these for because they are good quality and inexpensive.

    My daughter loves them!

I have the adult version of these which my daughter had been using when learning on her tablet. The size was obviously an issue, but she stuck through it. It wasn't too long ago that I realized quality "kid-sized headphones" are slim pickens! She prefers over the ear headphones, so the trend of wireless buds don't help much. Also, with most devices removing the headphone jack, wireless is mandatory. All that to say, these are the ticket. Just the right size with all the sound of their adult sized counterparts. My daughter is 5, and they fit very comfortably. She only wears them for up to an hour at a time, but during that period, there have been no complaints. When we use them for trips later down the line, I'm sure extended listening won't be an issue. A great feature that I have envy for is the shared listening function. What a great idea! When my son is a bit older, this will be a must have feature for headphones going forward. Having a "splitter" built right into the headphones eliminates another adapter I need to carry. And should you need a wired pair of headphones, they convert to that, too. Great feature for future proofing headphones. My daughter loves them, and I feel they are the right size and quality to warrant a purchase. Definitely recommend them.

Considering the price for this set of headphones, they sure aren't kidding when they says that they're 'Pro' headphones. You get so much value with this product. It is highly recommended no doubt! Why get a generic set of headphones for the same price when you can get quality at an affordable price and for a notable brand name, JLAB doesn't let you down. Build quality is something I would expect for something double the price of this MSRP. Aesthetically it looks really nice, and it truly is well built and doesn't feel flimsy like the generic headset I got at a flea market. I am also pleasantly surprised by the advancement of charging, with this having USB-C charging capabilities. I'm surprised that it has so many features for something so affordable, such as the 85 decibel and 95 decibel switch, along with being able to use bluetooth or plugging directly into your device. I tried it with an iPhone + adapter along with a Nintendo Switch and it makes the portable experience really nice. Mind you this specific model is for kids, but if you have a small head, any age can use this.

Our Second Set and Doubly Impressed

If you are looking for quality set of children's headphones with volume limiting capabilities, look no further! This is our second set since we have two little sets of ears that need them. I know they say these are for 8 years and older, but our 4 year old wears them with no issues. And that's something to say since he has had issues with other sets on his head before. He has literally worn these for over an hour playing games and watching videos on his tablet. If this little guy isn't complaining, they're definitely comfortable. A cool feature these have is to wire connect (daisy chain) another set of headphones. This will be especially helpful when they both want to watch a movie together. And I will again say that the volume limiter is great. Not too quiet, but definitely keeps the kiddos from accidentally blowing out their ears. JLab, as usual hit another homerun. I can tell you these headphones will take a beating as our first set did and will still keep going. If anyone asked me I would undoubtedly and resoundingly recommend them.

Got the JLab - JBuddies Pro Wireless Over-Ear Kids Headphone - Black/Blue for the 8 year old and he loves them. They pair easily with the old Samsung Galaxy Note phone he inherited from daddy’s upgrade, so he can play his video games without bothering everyone else around. These headphones are comfortable and seem durable as well. The headband is adjustable, so it’ll allow for growth in the next couple of years. They do offer enough sound isolation for airplane travel or other noisy environments. Speaking of travel, these can also be used in wired mode with the provided 3.5mm headphone jack cable that also acts as a splitter, so another set of headphones can be plugged into it, so two kids can listen to the same stuff at the same time. So far they’ve lasted a few days on a single charge, so we don’t have to worry about plugging them in frequently. They feel very premium for the price and it’s nice that they use USB-C for charging like all of our other devices. They also fold to some extent for more compact packing.

This is a perfect example of a product filling an immediate need. Toddlers do not like little earbuds in their ears and frankly, in my experience, wont stand for it for long and quickly remove them. You can try to use over the ear models but they are just too big to adjust to their smaller heads. Enter the J Buddies! They’re small enough for tiny heads and they are fitted over the ears. Problem solved. They’re also Bluetooth and corded which is a nice bonus. Both modes have a microphone so remote learning or FaceTime sessions have two-way audio. I really appreciate the USB C charging however the 3” included USB C cord is a tad short for my liking. The design and aesthetics are really good and the headphones fit is adjustable using a wire guide system found on my super-premium recording studio headphones. No clicky contraption that doesn’t stay where it’s put like the cheap Bluetooth headphones that came with my SUV. The J Buddies feel premium without costing a fortune which is very rare for a product these days. Highly recommended!

Affordable Kids Bluetooth with Wired option

These headphones fall into a bit of black hole in terms of "kids" headphones as a category. I find I have one little one that has a head big enough to be considered adult and not kid, and this sometimes leads to some confusion. It would be awesome to see some manufacturers put a finer point on the size ranges of their kids headphones. These headphones are not the most heavy duty feeling, and the head band feels a little suspect to me. Hopefullly helpful to their longevity is the metal extending arms that give you full extension on the ear cups, and folding/hinged ear pieces as well. That means you can fold these headphones up fairly tight and stuff them in a backpack without them breaking or getting crushed. I would love to see a rotating/hinge added for the ear cups to allow them to also rotate flat for storage. Something that is OFTEN missing from kids headphones, and I have no idea why other than cost cutting, is the ability to add a hard wired audio cable. This set includes that ability AND can piggyback to another set of headphones with a share port. The two ports aren't labeled, and there's a possibility that they work in either direction, which would be convenient, but they're not labeled as such. The inclusion of bluetooth for wireless is a nice feature even if sometimes a little clunky to pair/re-pair with devices. I didn't have high hopes for the audio and they lived up to what I expected. No noise cancelling and stiff ear cups that are not very forgiving for different ear sizes/shapes round out the fit and finish of these headphones. I know they can be better, but also, if your kids are hard on them, it might not be worth the cost to go more expensive, and just keep replacing with similar ones.

Bottom Line: The JLab JBuddies Pro offer most of the same features as adult headphones but in a kid friendly size and design. Review: I picked these up for my 7 1/2 year old daughter (JLab lists these as appropriate for kids 8+), and they fit her head really well. One of the nice design features is that size adjustment for the ear cups is on the outside of the headband. On other pairs, my daughter would occasionally catch a piece of her hair in the adjustment band. With the cups fully extended, the headphones fit on my wife's head, and so they should be able to accommodate almost all kids' heads. Bluetooth pairing with my daughter's iPad was straightforward, and the volume button is large and easy enough for her to find and manage. There's additional functionality built into the both the volume buttons (track forward/backward) and power button (play/pause, answer/end call, activate digital voice assistant), but my daughter doesn't really use these functions yet. The JBuddies Pro can also operate in wired mode with the included auxiliary cable, which makes these headphones suitable for use at my daughter's school. There are two auxiliary jacks (input can be plugged into either side), one on each cup, which allows for a second set of headphones to share the input audio signal. I know this was a popular feature at school last year, and I'm sure my daughter will enjoy this option. The included auxiliary cable also includes the microphone, which means that the cable has to be connected to the device for voice input. This could be an issue for older kids who have devices that lack an auxiliary input jack.

The best headphones for parents with multiple kids

These headphones are awesome! My daughter has the wired ones and they were great so I upgraded her to hand down the old ones to my younger son. Comfortable and formfitting to the ear, with a noise limiter switch inside the ear to the kids won't mess with it. I love the limiter switch because it helps protect the ears of my little ones from any damage caused my volume What's wonderful about these headphones is the share mode. Simply plug in any ordinary wired headset into either side of these headphones and you instantly can hear the shared sound of whatever device is being used. Since there was one both sides I tested out the theory of plugging up headphones to both sides at the same time. Sure enough it works! can listen to the same music/tv show/movie from 3 different headphones at once as long as the main headphones are bluetooth'd to the device. Totally awesome! I recommend this product to anyone with multiple kids who wanna watch the same thing on the same device without having to listen to the arguing about not being able to hear!
