I’ve tried several Bluetooth headphones through the years and have been let down each time with sound quality, comfort, battery life and ease of use. I’d all but given up on using Bluetooth headphones because I hadn’t found them to be functional or enjoyable. I’ve heard good things about JLAB products but came in with low expectations. After a week of testing, the JBuds Air Pro exceeded my expectations and are my new go-to headphones for work, exercise and around the house. The ease of charging and strong battery life, comfort factor, great sound quality, and Bluetooth multipoint capability won me over quickly. The price point and quality of these headphones make them a no-brainer for those wanting a solid pair of Bluetooth earbuds for fitness, work, travel or every day listening. I would buy again and have an interest in exploring other JLab products after my user experience with the JBuds Air Pro. Charging case Out of the box, the JBuds Air Pro look quality. The protective case is small with a hardcover and is very easy to slip into a pocket, backpack or purse. It’s a one-stop-shop, too, as the case comes with a built-in charger to recharge your earbuds (more on that below). You’ll immediately notice the case has LED lights that turn white when touched, indicating battery power. When the lid is flipped open, the ear buds are snugly secured magnetically to the charging deck. When charging, LED lights on the case will turn blue, letting you know all is connected and recharging. Battery/charging The Bluetooth headphones I’ve tried in the past have been inconvenient to charge and I was always misplacing the charger when I needed it most. With the JBuds Air Pro, the USB charger is conveniently connected to the case and stowed away until needed. As long as you have the case, you have the charger. It’s never been easier to charge in the car or at my workstation, and the LED lights on the exterior of the case easily let you know battery power. Battery life seems to be very strong, too (JLab claims 36+ hours of Bluetooth playtime). I love that I can fully charge the case while I’m using the earbuds, then let the earbuds recharge while I’m on the go without a power source. Given the ease of charging and convenient case, I have yet to fully test the limits of its battery life. Pairing I have not had a better pairing experience with Bluetooth headphones. As soon as you open the case and remove headphones, they will automatically connect to your nearby devices. When pairing for the first time, the earbuds automatically blinked blue/white when removed from the case, indicating they’re ready to pair. I was connected and listening to music in less than 20 seconds from opening the case. Occasionally I’ve needed to re-pair previously connected devices. It’s been a rare occurrence and can be annoying, but usually happens after I’ve had to remove Comfort and fit Overall, these earbuds are among the most comfortable I’ve worn. After a few hours of wear, I feel the need to adjust as my ears can ache if left in the same spot for long. The earbuds come with multiple ear tips and cushion fins to allow for custom fitting. I’ve tried several of the tips and cushions, and I am still working on finding the most comfortable fit for my ears. Audio quality Very, very impressed with the audio of these tiny earbuds. I find it incredible such tiny earbuds can pack such a bass punch. There are three audio settings – JLab Signature, Balanced and Bass Boost. In Bass Boost mode, the bass and sub-bass can be too overpowering. Balanced and JLab Signature have been my preferred audio picks, with a strong lean to JLab Signature. JLab Signature provides just enough amplified vocals and bass for a quality listening experience without overpowering the audio. Volume is fantastic – very wide range of loud and soft. Button functions Another important test of good Bluetooth headphones are how the earbuds respond via button function. On the headset, the buttons are the JLab logo on the side of the earbuds. Volume can be turned up with a single tap on the right earbud, or down with a single tap on the left earbud. Play/pause with a double tap on the right earbud. Overall, those are about the only functions I need and had a hard time remembering any others without the user manual. They all performed as asked. Depending upon the fit of the earbuds in my ear, I sometimes have a tough time accessing the button on the side of the earbuds. Bluetooth multipoint In my opinion, Bluetooth multipoint is the hands-down best feature of the JLab JBuds Air Pro. Bluetooth multipoint allows these earbuds to connect to two devices simultaneously. It is a JOY to be able to listen to music on my iPhone, then seamlessly listen to a conference call on my laptop. ALL WITHOUT RE-PAIRING THE EARBUDS. I have not had a single issue in toggling between the two connected devices. It’s easy and such a convenience, especially at work. • Noise-canceling/Be Aware JLab touts these earbuds as being noise canceling. Although they do largely block out outside noises, I can’t say they’re as good as some over-the-ear headphones I’ve used. I don’t think that’s the worst thing in the world either though for safety’s sake. They do come with a Be Aware function, which takes three taps on the right earbud to activate, allowing for outside noises to come in much easier. I’ve found the function makes a slight difference in hearing outside noises, but it’s a negligible difference. Fitness capability What good are Bluethooth headphones if you can’t work out in them? I kept a close eye out for results in this element, and so far these earbuds have been great for working out. The fit keeps snug in my ears when exercising and it’s held up to my prolific sweating capabilities. Time will tell, but the earbuds have maintained their performance through working out and lawn chores, and they’re very easy to wipe clean. Mobile app JLab’s mobile app has low ratings on the App Store and it was easy to see why. The app quickly paired to the earbuds but installing any settings changes or software updates was nearly impossible. I found the app to be buggy, slow to load and overall not worth keeping on my phone. Phone calls If you’re hoping to take phone calls wearing these earbuds, make an alternate plan. The microphone in the earbuds is very weak and people on the other line have struggled to hear me. I’ve seen there is an update through the mobile app that is supposed to improve the microphone, but I’ve not been able to get the app to install the update properly. Overall, one of the more disappointing elements of the JLab JBuds Air Pro.

Small form factor, seats comfortably, reasonably priced. Has occasional audio loss when connected to the Apple iPhone.

Good volume but friends and coworks said they cant hear me when i use them. Would recommend if your just wanting to watch videos on that long trip

Excellent product for the price and they work great

I use this when I'm at the gym and really love it.

Used mostly for podcasts, battery is excellent compared to higher priced ones. Listened 3-4 hours and battery still hasn't ran out.
