These fit my smaller ears very well and stay in place even through my most intense workouts. I also really like the memory foam earbud tips! The tap to mute function is also very handy!

Very nice earbuds. 4 sets of earbud ear cushions. After finding best fit, the sound is well balanced & builtin sound overload keeps sound just low enough not to hurt ears, when you crank it up. I’m a 72 yr old male using earbuds with IPhone music when exercising.

These In-Ear Headphones are just the ticket for my listening experiences during workouts and long walks. They're easy to use, stay comfortably in my ears during physical activity and provide high quality sound. Truly a great value for the price I paid. I will probably buy JLab Audio products again.

The value is untouchable. I lost a Powerbeats pro headphone and it’s too close to the new product release for me to justify buying a $200 pair, so I went with these in the mean time. They will not blow you away, but at this price point they are well worth it!

Impressive Ear-Hook Fit For Sports Exercise & Work
|
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Have always had issues with earbuds fitting securely enough to withstand vigorous running, jogging, and strenuous physical activities around my house and yard. So, I had an opportunity to select the JLAB - JBuds Air Sport True Wireless In-Ear Headphones in exchange for an honest review. I was curious to see how these earbuds would perform through all my exercise and work activities in the hot and humid climate of North Florida.
After two weeks of running and jogging several miles early, every morning on hard-surfaced asphalt; cutting down trees, and de-limbing each one; then, loading the cut-tree sections onto my tractor cart, and stacking them up; picking up all the leftover debris, leaves and branches of the cut-down trees, and disposing them in my 'burn-pit' . . . . here is what I love about these earbuds, and, found after strenuous work, the features that can be improved or added, IMHO.
***Absolutely Love These Features***
***Ear-Hook Fit*** - The JLAB designers have hit a home run with this ergonomic design. The earbuds fit securely and comfortably over both my ears (right ear is larger than the left). So, I believe they would fit anyone's ears snug and comfortably too, whether large or small. I have worn these earbuds outdoors for approximately four hours each day and neither one has even come close to falling off my ears during heavy exercise or hard work. I have tried to shake them off my head, and, even pounding the pavement while running they continue to be secure. They are featherweight at slightly over half an ounce (.57 oz or 16.1 grams). I have had three different sets of 'gym and sport' earbuds before, but none could compare to the impressive fit of this JLAB Airsport. These earbuds are well-made and well-designed. They should last for years under heavy use. WooHoo!
***Earbuds*** - Each earbud has a silicone tip and the ear hook is very flexible, but does not stress my ear while I wear it. JLAB includes three gel eartips, S, M, and L. Additionally, they included two 'cloud foam' eartips. A good fit in the ear canal enhances the audio quality and provides a good degree of Passive Noise Cancellation. The 'cloud foam' tips performed the best for me and enhanced the audio quality, especially while using the Bass Boost EQ.
***Sweat & Moisture Resistant*** - These Airsport Earbuds have an IP66 rating, which means they are dust tight and moisture resistant to powerful jets of water spray. For exercise or work they will hold up to sweat and even rain. After using them each day I clean the earbuds using a disposable, antibacterial wipe. When they are completely clean and dry I put them back in their furnished, Charging Case.
***Intuitive Touch Controls*** - By just tapping either the right or left earbud, touch sensor I can initiate the following Intuitive Controls: Tapping the LEFT, Touch Sensor ONCE for Decrease in Volume; TWICE to enable my Voice Assistant, Siri, or, Google for Android; Track Back is ONE Tap for One Second; THREE Taps to change and cycle through the EQ Settings; Power ON is Press and Hold for Three Seconds. Tapping the RIGHT, Touch Sensor ONCE for Increase in Volume; TWICE for Play/Pause; Track Forward is Press and Hold for ONE Second; Answer an Incoming Phone Call is ONE Single Tap. And, TWO Taps in order to Hang Up; To Reject an Incoming Phone Call is Press and Hold for One Second; Be Aware ON/OFF is a TRIPLE Tap; Power ON is Press and Hold for Three Seconds.
***EQ Settings*** - There are three choices of EQ Presets. Jlab Signature, which amplifies both vocals and bass. Balanced, which offers a mid-range combination. And, Bass Boost, which amplifies bass and sub-bass like that of a kick-drum. Having your earbud fit properly in your ear canal makes all the differences in taking advantage of these EQ Presets. The background noises must be sealed out by the gel eartip. I mostly use the Signature EQ setting, but, occasionally I use the Bass Boost for the rumble of the bass in certain music genres to inspire me while I am running and working hard. YooHoo!
***Be Aware Audio*** - This feature allows me turn surrounding background noises OFF or allow them to pass-through, ON. This is a necessary feature for me when I am running or jogging near the roadways early in the morning with little daylight. It allows me to hear traffic coming towards me.
***Bluetooth 5.0*** - Provides fast and reliable pairing and connections when the Airsport Earbuds are taken out of their Charging Case. They pair back to the last mobile device used. However, they can only BT pair to one device at a time. They do not have a registry to remember multiple devices. But, immediately after taking them out of their protective Charging Case they are ready to enable Hands-Free phone calls.
***Charging Case*** - JLAB developed a unique charging case with a self-contained USB adapter for charging in any standard PC, USB port or 5V, 1A output device. I use my I-Phone charger plug to charge the case. It takes approximately one and a half hours to fully charge the earbuds and three hours to fully charge the case. The earbuds provide six hours of use and the charging case adds another thirty-four hours of use for a total of forty hours of use. WoW!The hard plastic case provides good protection for storage, while charging, and for packing when traveling too.
***Voice Prompts*** - These automatically chime in for battery status, 'Battery Full', 'Battery Medium', and 'Low Battery. Other voice prompts include, 'Hello', 'Earbuds Joined', 'Ready to Pair', 'Bluetooth Connected', and 'Goodbye'. Nice to be aware of these announcements.
***Stereo Phone Calls*** - I do not know of any other earbuds that provide stereo audio calling. My phone contacts come in crystal clear and sound dynamic, as if they were physically near me, when I hear them speak. Great feature.
***Improvements Could Be Made And Added Setting***
***Audio Quality*** - The audio quality is very good, but could be much better. Jlab uses the ACC codec, which delivers good quality sound, but not CD quality sound over BT like Sony's LDAC, or Qualquam aptX, along with Apple ALAC, High Resolution Codecs. I realize the JBUDS Airsport was made specifically for sports, exercise, and work, where High Resolution Audio Sound Quality may not be as discernible. But, when these are worn without the numerous background noises and distractions – High Resolution Sound would greatly be appreciated.
***ON/OFF Setting For Earbuds*** - The Auto ON & Connect feature is super nice. But installing these earbuds into my ears for a good fit makes me engage the Touch Sensor repeatedly while it is ON. It takes a couple of minutes sometimes to figure out what to do to get these earbuds back to the Hands-Free phone call stage. If there was a manual Touch Sensor setting to turn the earbuds OFF while installing them in my ears – It would be just a matter of turning them back ON and ready for use.
***Conclusion*** - For its price point JLAB has packed a lot of features into this JBuds Air Sport True Wireless In-Ear Headphones. Although I think the audio could be improved they are bang-up quality for their intended audience and use. They are hands down the best fitting earbuds I have ever used. No matter what I am doing I am confident that these earbuds would never fall off. I highly recommend the purchase of the earbuds for yourself, a friend or family member, who is physically active. Five Stars.

JLAB really hit it out of the park with the JBuds Air Sport True Wireless earbuds. The package comes with a charging case that magnetically aligns the earbuds and comes with a reversible usb type-a connector on the bottom of the case. The set also comes with four different sets of ear tips that cover almost every type of ear shape. I ended up going with the biggest rubber tips, but I found all of them decently comfortable. There are 3 different equalizer settings (JLAB Signature, Balanced, Bass) I found the JLAB Signature to be a good mix of treble and bass so I stuck with that one. The range is quite good as I went about 25 feet away from my phone and had no connection issues. I used these on a 20 mile bike ride and only lost 20% battery life while listening to music so that lines up with their claim of 6 hours of battery life. The ear hooks are the real game changer as you never feel that the earbuds are going to fall out or move and that pairs well with the "Be Aware Audio" feature since you can still hear what's going on around yourself you never have to take them off your ears. There is a slight learning curve with all of the tap commands that you need to learn to operate them as they are split up between ears, but the most important commands are always on the right earbud. Voice calls were clear and I didn't notice any distortion and the person who I was talking to said I sounded normal. As far as audio quality goes the JBuds sound great but I just wish they were a few decibels louder at max volume and then they would be perfect for me. All of this comes with a 2 year warranty and for how low the price is for these earbuds I have no problems recommending them to anyone that's on a budget or looking for a great entry level set of bluetooth earbuds.

For The Money, Good Not Great

I feel like every review of these headphones will start with “for the money, these headphones are great.” Well, I’ll put a slightly different spin on things with “for the money, these headphones are good.” I can recommend them for the audio quality while listening to music during a workout. They are comfortable and sound much better than wireless bud headphones priced much higher, but they still have a few quirks and are far from perfect. If you can live with those quirks for the price, then you’ll probably enjoy these headphones quite a lot.
Set up was quite easy and I really like the travel case with its built-in charging cable. The indicator lights are bright, and I believe JLAB when they say these headphones will last around 40 hours. So far, battery life has been great.
I like the sound on these headphones, but wireless buds have always had an airy / tinny sound to them, and these, while better than others, still suffer a bit in that regard. The sound is richer, and the bass is much more pronounced than similar earbuds from JVC and I’d even argue apple’s air pods. But they aren’t going to sound as good as a pair of wireless Bluetooth headphones that share a wired connection to each other.
Instead of buttons that you can feel click, these earbuds have “touch sensors”. Both the left and right earbud have these built in sensors and tapping / holding the sensors enables and disables various functions. For example, pressing the left touch sensor once turns down the volume, pressing it twice enables SIRI, pressing and holding the left sensor for one second plus causes the track to go back, pressing the right sensor three times enables or disables be aware mode. If that sounds confusing to you, it is very confusing and non-functional in my experience. Instead of changing my aware mode, I find myself turning the volume up or pausing my music. It seems like my presses aren't always registering and it has been incredibly frustrating using the touch sensors for anything other than playing / pausing, turning the volume up, or taking a call.
So far, I haven't had problems with the headphones disconnecting from the phone, but I noticed when watching some YouTube videos, that my left headphone would occasionally get out of sync with the right one. It created a bit of an echo effect, but it only happened once or twice through hours of testing.
Phone calls were a bit… disappointing. People on the other end of the call told me I sounded like I was in a tunnel. I found the headphones, instead of just playing the sound evenly from both earbuds, wanted to transfer the caller from right to left earbud and vice versa. It was a bit distracting and occasionally the call would cut out as the headphones seemed to re-calibrate the audio. It wasn’t an awful experience, but it wasn’t good, either.
There is an app to burn-in your headphones and loosen the speaker diaphragms. It’s completely optional, but you should know that the sound quality of your headphones will likely improve the longer you use them.
In conclusion, as sweat resistant work-out headphones, I think these are pretty good headphones. For the price, they perform very well. I’m not sure I will ever get used to the touch sensor buttons and I won’t be using these buds for phone calls any time soon, but still, for the money, the audio is quite good.

Great sound, secure fit
|
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
JLAB's new JBuds Air Sport true wireless headphones have both a comfortable fit and the ability to hear sounds around you.
-= Design and Fit =-
The ear hooks on the JBuds Air Sport provide a very secure fit compared to other truly wireless earbuds that simply sit in your ear. The soft ear hooks fit comfortably around my ears and stayed in place during workouts and running.
I do find that the sweatier I get, the "seal" into my ear canal can work loose and I lose some of the bass, but the ear hooks keeps the earbuds from falling completely off of my ear. So if you're purchasing these for working out, you shouldn't be disappointed, but please note that this "seal" also creates an underwater-like effect, meaning I can hear every footstep vibration amplified when these earbuds are in.
The "buttons" on these earbuds are really just touch sensors. They can be activated inadvertently while adjusting the earbuds, but they generally work well for playing and pausing music, as well as rewinding and skipping tracks.
-= Sound Quality =-
The sound quality is very good on these earbuds. When seated properly in your ear, the JBuds earbuds have a very good bass output and mids and highs also sound very balanced.
The sound quality is not quite up there with Apple AirPods, but at half the price, the JBuds Air Sport earbuds have more than acceptable sound quality.
The JBuds Air Sport headphones also have 3 music EQ settings that, thankfully, do not require a separate app in order to activate. The three available settings are:
JLab Signature (my preference as it also enhances the bass)
Balanced
Bass Boost
-= Features =-
Be Aware Audio
One feature I was very much lucking forward to was the Be Aware Audio. This can be activated by tapping the right earbud 3 times (unfortunately, there's no voice prompt to let you know if the feature is on or off). When activated, the headphones use the mics on the earbuds to let you hear what is going on around you. Normally, the headphones will muffle outside noises as the tips "seal out" your ear canal.
Unfortunately, I found this feature can be disorienting. Since the mics are amplifying the sounds around you, they can sound louder than they really are and you can't tell from which direction the noise is coming. This felt very confusing to me and, when running outside, I still prefer the Apple AirPods since they don't muffle outside noises and you can naturally hear what's going on.
Talking with the Be Aware Audio feature on would amplify my voice back to me and make it sound robotic, which was very distracting when trying to talk to someone.
IP66 Sweat Resistance
The JBuds Air Sport headphones have an IP66 water resistance rating, meaning that sweat and splashes are OK, but these should not be submerged in water (for example, don't wear them while in the pool). You must dry the earbuds before returning them to the charging case.
-= Connection =-
The connection between the left and right headphone seems to do fairly well. Indoors, I don't really experience a lot of issues with the sound cutting out between the two headphones unless I'm near a router or other interference. Outdoors, the sound cutouts are slightly more frequent, especially if I wear my phone on the left side of my body (it pairs with the right earbud). Overall, I'm very pleased with the connection stability.
It's important to note that the right earbud is the master, so if you want to use only one earbud, it must be the right one. The left earbud cannot be used independently.
-= Battery Life and Charging =-
On a full charge, the JBuds Air Sport headphones last up to 6 hours and the charging case can recharge the earbuds about 4-5 additional times, so you could get up to 34 hours of usage when the case and earbuds are fully charged. In a pinch, charging the earbuds for 15 minutes will give you up to an hour of playback time.
It's important to line up the charging pins properly when returning the earbuds to the case or they may not make a solid connection. There is a magnet in the case that helps "pull" the headphones into the correct spot, but you'll want to verify that the blue charging indicators light up on each headphone.
The earbuds and charging case are somewhat bulky, especially when compared to the Apple AirPods. They definitely don't fit in my jean's pockets. I was surprised to find that the charging case has a built-in USB cable, which is very convenient as you don't need to remember to bring along your own cable.

Ok... I LOVE these. Never have I tried earbuds that were so comfortable, so easy to set up and sounded so good! I have been trying different types of earbuds for some time in search of those that would be comfortable and would stay in my ears. Finally - I found them - JBuds Air Sport are amazing!!
I opened the box and the earbuds were in their hard shell charging case. Beautiful. Already partially charged, I put them on. Put a bud in each ear, slipped the wing over my ear and turned it. They went perfectly into place... Oh so comfortable. Then amazingly it started setting itself up without my doing anything... When it said it was ready to pair, I grabbed my iPhone and paired it - just that easy.. Setup done!
I opened a playlist and the sound was clear and crisp in my ears. There are 3 EQ settings, I liked the base. The settings are done with little taps to the sensors on each earbud. You don't have to always press... just tap... Once, twice, etc... Depending on what you want to do. Tapping is nice so I'm not having to shove them in my ear canal as I do with some earbuds. There is a little guide that shows you what the taps do. It is a small learning curve but not difficult.
You can connect to your phone's assistant - Google or Siri quite easily and she heard me and I heard her. Cool feature. You can tell the assistant to place calls for you or ask it whatever you want. You can answer calls and the caller hears you and I clearly heard them.
The charging cord for these is amazing. You don't need a separate cord... The cord is built in! And it's a simple usb... Just plug it in! It is short but you won't lose it and it's simple. Brilliant!
I cannot speak highly enough about these JBuds earbuds. I highly recommend these for anyone who wants a comfortable secure great sounding truly wireless earbud

I got these for running and walking the dog. So far they work out really well to not fall out even after longer runs or while lifting weights. I use them about 5 hours a week and then charge them on the weekend. Both buds easily last the entire week between charges. I think I can go up to two weeks with my usage.
The voice calling quality is ok while I run, and decent inside while working out. I like the google assistant capabilities that I've used each time I've ran and the equalizer is pretty good. The touch buttons could be better since it sometimes takes multiple times to get the function working that I want.
The reasons why I'm giving them 4 stars is because the bass is lacking and the fit is not snug enough for my liking. I mostly listen to rap and electronica during my workouts and wish the buds were more punchy. I should have listened to the other reviews because I thought the headphones wouldn't be that bad but it's lower than I want. And the fit could be better for my size because when I run I have excessive wind blowing into the ear piece. It's not disruptive while I have the sound up until I'm running upwind and its over the music. These are not deal breakers but I would have been glad to have paid more if I could alievate these issue.
For the discounted value they work very well and you would be good purchases for you. But if bass is something you value, I would look elsewhere.
