The JLab JBuds Cam Webcam is a middling performer in the crowded world of webcams. While it doesn't deliver top-tier quality, it does provide reasonable clarity considering its price bracket. If you're on a budget and need a functional cam for everyday use, this might be a suitable pick. Just temper your expectations and you won't be disappointed. For professional or high-quality streaming needs, however, you might want to explore higher-end options. All in all, a fair buy for the price.

This camera works well, as good as a more expensive web camera I used to have. Good quality sound and video on zoom.

Webcam does its job, but the quality is a little bit grainy on the finished product on YouTube. Can’t really tweak any camera settings either, but still a good starter camera, especially if you’re on a budget.

It has an image resolution of 1080p at 30 fps with a wide angle shot. The image is clear and sharp. The color accuracy is pretty good, with skin tones looking warm under the right lighting conditions. Any bright light will look blown out and cause the rest of the image to be really dark. The most annoying issue is the constant focus shifting. Even slight movement will cause the image to slightly zoom and adjust focus. The auto focus may be disabled if the application using the camera can access the camera settings. For instance, I was able to disable it in OBS under the camera properties. The camera mic is worse than expected, even from a webcam. It sounds like it’s coming from a tin can. The mis pickup is actually too sensitive, and is constantly peaking that even normal talking volume sounds blown out. It’s best to avoid using it totally. The camera has a nice weight to it so it stays put either clip to the top of the monitor or placed flat on the table. It comes with a set of changeable mesh faceplate that’s magnetically attached to the face. It’s a nice addition to the design. Overall, the camera can be good if you can tweak the settings and image. Out of the box, it’s okay and it’ll do fine for video calling, but the constant autofocus can be really distracting. If disabled, its usability score is higher. With some color correction, it can be good for an entry level streaming setup as well. The mic is just bad and will sound blown out, and best avoided.

Really cheap and had blue lines running through it. Returned it within days
