My new working out ear buds!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very hard on earbuds. I mean like super hard on them. I will get maybe a couple of years out of the supposed "premium" earbuds because I will wear them constantly at work, at home, at the gym, when mowing, when running, when doing everything (except showering or sleeping of course!). And so even in a very short time I can put earbuds through their paces. I am happy to say that these have held up to my usage for the past week or so with 0 issues. Initial Setup & Usage I paired the earbuds to my iPhone 14 Pro Max, and downloaded the accompanying app. I noticed that sometimes the button presses wouldn't register, it could be because I sometimes have poor circulation in my hands, and so I just started using the app to control the ANC settings. The button presses to corresponding action on the earbuds wasn't super intuitive to me at first, but once I got the hang of them I was using it pretty easily and reliably. Rating: 5/5 Sound Quality For this category I am going to break this down into a few different sub-categories to rank. They will be Music, Podcasts & YouTube, and then Movies & TV Shows. Music I really enjoyed the quality of sound out of these earbuds. From the highs, to the lows, to the amount of bass it was all pretty good straight out of the box. Listening to 90s rap & hip-hop, followed by some 90s country, to 90s R&B, it was all serviceable & sounded nice. I was pleasantly surprised with how well they performed. Rating: 5/5 Podcasts & YouTube Spoken audio can be a little different & that is why I like rating it separately. What might sound great for some forms of music, might sound muddy, or too boomy for spoken audio (to me at least). That said, with these earbuds I didn't notice any booming voices or muddy sounding talking from any of the Podcasts & YouTube videos that I listened to. It sounded very close to how it did on my TV with my 7.1.2 surround sound system for our home theater setup that we have. Was perfect sounding. I was again pleasantly surprised. Rating: 5/5 Movies & TV Shows I then fired up Plex on my phone & turned on a few different movies & TV shows listening to each for a total of about 7-15 minutes by flipping through various parts of the movie or TV show respectively. Again, transitioning from music, to dialogue, to background noise, everything sounded as it should and sounded similar to our home theater setup. Again, that is a $1000+ sound system set up vs. some earbuds; and while it wasn't exact (the home theater sound system is going to obviously be better), it did sound very pleasant to my ear, as well as to the ear's of my family members as we all got a chance to try out the earbuds. Rating: 5/5 Conclusion In closing, these earbuds are becoming my go to pair for working out, and doing yard work. I am extremely pleased with everything from their fit, build quality, and sound quality too. Rating: 20/20

JLAB creates another good pair of earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The JLAB JBuds Pods ANC – Black are another pair of JLAB earbuds that are most definitely worth their price. I did have a problem with my phone trying to discover the JLAB JBuds Pods ANC – Black. I tried several times to scan my phone’s Bluetooth, but never had Jbuds pop up on the screen. I tried, instead, to use the JLAB app to connect the earbuds to my phone. I simply tapped on the picture of my JLAB JBuds Pods ANC and followed prompts until pairing was successful. Controls of all of the functions are done by tapping the right or the left earbud to perform a specific task. I can control volume, play/pause, forward track, siri/ok google, answer calls, hang up, reject, and EQ change. The EQ can change the sound into bass boost, balance, custom, and JLAB signature. The JLAB JBuds Pods ANC sound great as JLAB always make my ears “smile.” Within the JLAB app, I have Ambient sounds that can be played and a Burn-In Tool for 40 hours continuous play. The JLAB JBuds Pods ANC – Black are a good pair of earbuds with a charging case included for continuous music and communications.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to love these ear buds, but I'm kind of disappointed. This doesn't have anything to do with the quality! They're really nice looking, with a high-end feel to them. Sturdy, shiny, compact with a nice charging carrying case that lights up to let you know when they're fully charged and everything. The sound is top notch, no issues there either. They're just so big! Maybe I have small ears, but even using the smallest bud cover, they always feel like they're gonna fall out. I've usually stuck with the type of wireless buds that can hang around the neck for this very reason, being worried I'm gonna lose one of these completely wireless types. When I start to feel like one is coming out, my natural reaction is to press it firmly back into my ear, and adjust it. Problem with that is I end up inadvertently pressing the buttons on it hanging up the call or switching modes or something unintentionally depending on which one I'm adjusting. Which brings me to my other point, you're kinda forced to wear both because they each control different functions, such as volume, answering / ending a call, noise canceling (etc.). I like to have one ear open so I can stay aware of my surroundings. Also means that if you lose one, you have to replace the whole set! The range is also not that great. You have to stay pretty close to your phone or your call will drop. Not a deal breaker, but I tend to move around alot when I'm on the phone or listening to music while doing chores. If they were a bit smaller and the buds could be worn separately, I'd give them 5 stars.

A notch better than the Go Pods.....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Better built earbuds, but most importantly earbuds have much better battery life, when compared to the Go Pods.

JLab in the ear headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.JLab in the ear headphones plays music and has some good functionality and features. App is easy to install and gives quite a few options to them, but they lack intuitiveness for using those features or changing them. Yes, the information is in the app, and you can learn them, but unlike other brands, not as easy to get the functionalities to do what you want intuitively. Audio/Sound - Subpar from my opinion. I have adjusted the sound settings with custom settings and still a bit lack luster. I was hoping the sound would be better and the controls would work flawlessly. Microphone - is the worst I have reviewed from an in ear headset. I messed with both the settings in my iphone and in the app to no avail. Very muddled, I tried from the previous version of an iphone and my current one, my son's phone and still not acceptable. The connection works but it seems to fight, unlike other headsets, I had to turn off my bluetooth and then turn bluetooth back on, connect it through the app and then it would connect/pair to my phone. If I disconnected/removed from my phone and then tried to set it up again at a later time, I had to do similar scenario. Not the worst headphones, but was expecting a bit more.
