Watching Netflix on my Motorola G phone, the audio falls behind the video by about 1 second. This could be a problem with the phone or Android but I mention it.

I had no problems with static before using these headphones on my tower. I used them a couple of times and they would occasionally short out, and then it temporarily took out the whole USB panel at once. I have never had this problem with other headphones on the same tower.
