I bought it for the kids because it lights up to the music and they love it. I don't believe the lights turn off unfortunately.

Wow! Does this tiny Bluetooth speaker pump out sound! And it’s not just great volume, the audio quality is deep and full, meaning whatever you’re listening to - music, audio books, podcasts, ambient sounds - will sound just like they’re meant to. And the RGB lights add that fun factor! Pairing/ connecting the Pop Party Bluetooth Speaker to my mobile phone was so easy. There is a JLAB app which you can use to turn the RGB lights on/off, along with fine tuning your audio with the customizable equalizer settings. While the app is pretty basic, it’s not necessary to use the speaker right out of the box. Versatile and portable, while also being IPX5 rated “water-resistant” so that you can use it by the pool or hot tub, on a hike, at the beach, on a picnic in the park … I myself am primarily going to use the speaker while I shower (or take a bath). This JLAB speaker’s design is really cool, too. The rubber loop ‘handle’ slides open to easily attach to a backpack strap, bike handle bar, shower door rod, etc. The rubberized “feet” on the bottom keep the speaker stable and help prevent it sliding around on a slick surface. This Pop Party Ultra-Portable Wireless speaker is of excellent quality, as I’ve come to expect from just about every JLAB device I’ve owned. Bottom line - while small in size, this JLAB speaker produces amazing audio, is an inexpensive option, and is super fun to use!

This is a very nice small speaker. I love that you can change the color thru the app. I did find that on some settings the colors do not match up. Like I had to select Green for instance to get pink. But small and still got it how I wanted. This speaker packs a punch for its size. At full volume, I was still able to hear and music without it distorting. Was easy to connect as well. I have this at work, where it can get pretty loud and I have no issues not hearing this. I have a light strip at work, which makes this a fun speaker to have as I can set them to be a similar light pattern. I like that this is small, which makes it very easy to pack and take with you. I have a niece who is just over a year old and loves to carry this around with her. keeps her entertained. It is nice to see companies move to USB-C to charge. This also seems to get pretty good battery life out of it. I run it most of the day as I work 8–10-hour days and this last all day. If I had to complain, it would be that the charging cord was not long. I would love to see a 6' cord if not longer. Also, that this does not seem to have wireless charging. But both of those are minor. Overall, great speaker, small but packs a punch.

The JLab - Pop Party Speaker is a handful of big sound. Don't let the size fool you on the sound. It packs great, big, beautiful sound into a small portable palm size package. The sound comes through loud and clear. The RGB lighting is bright, fun and customizable. Quick guide shows how to connect and operate the speaker by itself and the JLab app gives more options for sound and lighting. Connection to our phones via bluetooth was quick and easy. The ability to sync up to 100 speakers means sharing music in large spaces is not a problem. The battery lasts for hours and it uses a USB-C charging cable for quick charging. The strap for hanging is convenient, although I'm not convinced it will last long if used often. The size makes it so convenient to take anywhere and everywhere. Small enough to drop in a purse, keep in the car, on a counter or side table. It doesn't take much space and light enough to carry wherever you go. Great for using around the house, yard, garden, beach, park, car, parties, get togethers with friends. Wherever you want to listen to your collection of music, books, podcasts, etc...

My kids like this much cuase it comes with disco lights.

A cute little speaker with a few nifty features. The build quality is decent, but not what I would call stellar. The plastic housing will certainly guard against general bumps and dings, and small drops onto soft surfaces. I worry that drops from higher levels or onto more solid surfaces such as concrete may prove too much. Connecting to devices is straightforward and stable via bluetooth. No dropped or lost connections. Audio is rather mid. To be fair, this isn't for the true audiophile. It's meant to be that speaker you set out for the backyard bbq, or for the kids to play their music while they play outside. It is decently loud for such use cases, but the audio has a very muffled tone. This can be somewhat controlled with the JLab app, but not to any great degree. The equalizer is great and offers amazing control, but the speaker itself simply diminishes the output quality. Speaking of the JLab app - this is where you can control EVERYTHING about this speaker. You can connect multiple speakers, change the power button press functions, toggle voice prompts, and control the lighting functions. Props to JLab and a pretty solid app experience. What about those nifty features? Well, really it's about device placement. First there is a flexible loop strap that allows you to hang the speaker from pretty much anywhere - a fence, chair, cooler, tree limb, ok you get the idea. The other handy feature, and one I appreciated the most, is the magnetic mounting capability. There are two magnets on the back of the speaker that allow you to slap this thing on any metal surface - though I'd avoid the side of your grill. Stick it to your car, door, desk, toolbox, etc. and off you go. The magnets are strong and the speaker stays in place. Overall this is a pretty handy speaker from JLab. Small and light enough to throw in your bag, great battery life, loud, customizable. Really it's not a bad little party speaker. As long as you don't expect to be "wowed" by the audio quality, I think you'll find this to be a handy little device.

Price is great. Sound is okay but the on buttons are non existent. There is no way to control the volume from the unti itself.

Well done, very well done. Very impressive little speaker. We were looking for a blue tooth speaker for our 11yr old daughter and stumbled across the JLab pop party speaker and figured we'd give it a shot. First impression is that it felt well bilt and was the perfect size for just about hand. It has multicolor and pattern RGB lighting around the face of the speaker which our kiddo loves. It has a built in lanyard the she uses to strap it on her backpack. Its a pretty loud little speaker. It has a good full range of sound, from crisp clean highs to deep lows thanks to its passive radiator. We quite frequently have to ask her turn it down. The ability to link upto 100 of these is wild to me. I couldnt imagine the sound that would come out of 100 of these, it would probably feel like being at a live show. Battery life is good too. Pairing and setup was super simple. There is an application that you can download to further control function. All in all this is a great speaker at an even better price point. 100% would recommend this speaker.

An oval shape and lightweight enough to easily fit in your hand. The plastic loop extends from one end that allows the speaker to hang from any number of things. I have mine hanging from a hook in the shower for podcasts. You can loop it to a backpack, gym bag, the back of a chair or your belt loop with a carabiner. There are magnets on the back so it will mount to anything such as a refrigerator also. It is IP55 rated so there is water resistance which is obvious visually by looking at the bass radiator underneath. It is a 5 watt speaker so you wont be thumping away but that isn't the point here. The lighting effects and app are outstanding. The sound customization options are there but probably overkill and the default sound profile seems to be the best anyway which they name JLab signature. It's lightweight and so fun to play around with all the light modes. There is endless customization. It is a product that again everyone should own with performance and features that outshine it's low cost by a mile. They will sell truckloads of these during the holidays.

I ended up buying 5 of these so far, they've been average but one face speaker came unglued from itself.

The JLab Pop Party speaker is a small, inexpensive, awesome Bluetooth speaker. The sound quality, really the first measure of any speaker, is surprisingly good for a speaker of this size (and price). It offers excellent sound in a package the size of your hand and an amazing array of options for the price. The feature list is also pretty amazing considering the price. The Pop Party is designed for portability. It fits in your hand, with a loop handle and magnetic base for mounting on handlebars, pack rings, belt loops, or stick it on a metal surface with the magnetic base. Power it on and it's ready to pair, with voice prompts to talk you through each step. The Pop Party can be sync'ed with a second speaker for stereo, or with up to 99 other speakers for music distribution all over. The app (Android, IOS) allows configuration of the lighting, voice prompts, equalization and syncing with other speakers. Setup was trivial, power on the speaker, pair, and you're up and running. A lot of feature configuration can be done by multiple presses of the power button, but the app is so much more convenient. It adds access to a 10 band equalizer, preset sound curves, pairing and syncing options, as well as voice prompts and lighting configuration. I've used the Pop Party for all sorts of music, ranging from classical to metal, as well as using it with a laptop for a movie soundtrack. Sound never got muddy or distorted even at high volumes. The bass was surprisingly strong, although not gut punching, and the treble was clear and crisp, never squeaky. Using it for movies and Youtube videos with a laptop was a significant upgrade over the laptop speakers. Yes, lighting can be completely disabled, which I did while watching videos. I've actually ordered a second Pop Party (yes, they are that inexpensive) to use as stereo speakers with a gaming/AV laptop. The Pop Party can be set up as stereo speakers, with left and right channel assignment. Another cool feature! The Jlab Pop Party is an amazing Bluetooth speaker that will hardly put a dent in your bank. The sound and features put it in a class way above it's price. I can't recommend it enough. If you're looking for a portable speaker, it should be at the top of your list!

The JLab Pop Party speaker delivers exactly what I expected. This is a bluetooth speaker which features rgb lighting, a loop handle, magnetic back, and is IPX5 waterproof. Setup was fairly straightforward. You set it up like any other bluetooth speaker, using your device's bluetooth settings. Sound quality of this speaker was actually pretty impressive for it's size. The RGB lighting actually surprised me too. There are 6 different lighting effects by default, some of which are reactive to the music that is playing. These were my favorite lighting modes. The loop was also a nice addition. You can open it up so that you can loop it around something like a backpack strap or handlebars or something. It's really convenient in a portable speaker like this. Aside from that, the underside features two magnets so you can stick your speaker to something metal like a fence post or car door or something. Now, I noticed that the magnets aren't super strong, like you can't place the speaker upside down on something. The magnet is not strong enough to hold it. So I'd stick to flat or or slanted surfaces. Vertical is risky. As long as you don't bump it or something, it will stay put. One cool feature that I read about in the manual but couldn't really test is called LabSync. This is where you can sync up to 100 of these speakers together. This seems like it could be really cool in a party of club setting. For home personal use, probably not so much. But still a cool feature nonetheless. Overall I am very happy with this little speaker. It offers great sound quality for it's size and welcome features in a portable speaker, like the loop handle and magnetic bottom. The lights are also fun to play with, or you can turn them off if that's not your thing. I can easily recommend if you are looking for a good portable speaker.
