Not taking a full charge

They won't fully charge, at least as indicated by the charging light. Red is charging, blue is charged. I've tried charged them via four USB power sources now (computer ports or computer USB hubs, as the instructions indicate this is the level of power required) for as long as 48 hours and the light is always red, never turns blue. Value: poor, if they can't be used Quality: ditto Ease of Use: who knows?

HORRIBLE! And won’t shop at Best Buy again!

He didn’t open the package right away so the warranty expired beforehand. And the button to power it on either won’t turn it on, keeps it on red, or flashes blue and green. So when he tries to turn it off, it won’t and dies. So now I’m stuck with a horrible gift that is broken!!!

One side mute.

Within a couple months of occasional use one side lost sound. Best Buy refuses to honor the manufacturer warranty so shame on them too.

Ok sound, bad mic

Started good

They started to distort the sound lose base and the right ear shorts in and out. Just so happens I was out of my Best Buy warranty. I reached out to the manufacturer. Haven’t heard anything back and it’s been a week.

Beware

Our mistake. When we opened the box there was no charging cable inside (as it claimed on the box). Being in a hurry, I found one of our cables that worked so we proceeded. On the plane, we could not get one of the headphones to work. The sound from just one ear was terrible. Beware.

Great value
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.These are JLab’s top active noise canceling (ANC) headphones. They include a lot of features at the comparatively modest price of $100, and they accomplish some things very well and others not quite so well. The build quality and comfort are very good for the price. They adjust easily and can accommodate larger heads. The battery life is listed as 45 hours maximum and more surprising, 42 hours with ANC on. There are four modes … ANC high, ANC low, ANC off, and Be Aware (ambient sound pass-through). Although it’s not documented in their included user guide, they also have JLab’s EQ3 switchable equalization … JLab Signature, Balanced, and Bass Boost. You cycle through these choices by pressing the volume up and down buttons together while music is streaming. They connect using Bluetooth 5 or can be used wired with the included cable. That’s really handy if you wish to briefly use a device without pairing. As expected, Bluetooth mode includes track control, pause, and phone answering. They use a single USB-C connection for both charging and wired connection. The good side is that they offer a lot of features for $100. The sound is good, but not world-class. I found the JLab Signature equalization was the best for my taste. The Balanced mode sounded flat, and Bass Boost tended to muddy other frequencies a bit. They aren’t designed to give head knocking bass, but they do provide a well-balanced, neutral sound. The noise-canceling is good, but the high mode cuts the sound level and dynamic range too much for my taste. The low mode was much more pleasing, and if you don’t need noise reduction, just turn it off. The Be Aware mode over-amplified ambient sound and introduced a noticeable hissing, so I would consider it an only when needed mode. You can easily cycle through modes with a push of the large logo button on the right earpiece. There’s a lot here for the price, but don’t expect the quality and performance of the big names in ANC which cost 4 or 5 times as much. The bottom line is that you get what you pay for or maybe more in this case. If you’re looking for wireless headphones with good sound, active noise-canceling, and a long-lasting battery at an affordable price these will check off all those boxes.

I can"t hear you

So I returned it to the store.

Nice Comfort, ANC is done well
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wear glasses, so many over the ear headphones just do not often feel comfortable. These are comfortable even with glasses on. Sound quality is really quite good. If you have an equalizer on your phone you can make things a little better. The Bluetooth connectivity has good range, really good range. So far I have not had any connectivity issues at all. You can use these wired or strictly wireless. This is handy if your phone has a headphone jack. If it does not have a jack, a dongle can fix that. I do have a dongle to use the stereo jack and convert to USB C. This worked quite well. Unfortunately a USB C to USB C cable is not included, I could not test that out. Wired does not require the headphones to be charged, unless you are wanting the ANC turned on. Happy that USB C is the charging type. The ANC works really well. The bypass mode almost felt like it enhanced the sound coming in. I could hear the TV in the next room better than I could with the headphones off. My only drawbacks are they really are a little on the tight side if you have a large head. Also when folding for travel, they don't fold in a way that gives me comfort thinking I won't damage them in my bag. The other odd thing to me is the length of the USB to USB C cable. It is short. Makes charging with the included cable a challenge if you don't have room close to your PC. Overall, I really like these headphones for use with my phone. I don't think I could use these for a extended period of time, I am talking a 8 hour shift. But I really enjoy them for shorter periods.

Returned defective

When attempting to use for the first time, found that sound only came out of one side of the headphones. I suspect these were defective and returned by someone and stuck back on the shelf.

Just Okay
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The JLAB Studio Pro ANC Over-Ear Headphones are a decent attempt to jump into the world of ANC, against some tough competition. After unboxing, which is only a usb c cable, usb to 3.5mm, and carrying pouch, I was greeted with the headphones themselves. At first glance, they look premium. Faux leather earcups, with a matching headband with some designs on it. Both cloud foam earcups fold inwards to fit inside the carrying pouch. No complaints on battery life, as it can get 45 hours with ANC turned on, and 43 hours with it off. The ANC is not their best, as I have the Epic Air ANC and the Sport variant. Both of those have stronger ANC, but on the Studio Pro ANC the noise cancellation is decent. It blocks out most noise, and will work well in most scenarios. Taking phone calls has actually been nice as well. All of my callers had no issues hearing me over some background noise. The button on the right earcup controls the ANC. The BE AWARE works great, so you can hear your surroundings. All in all, I do like them, but for $100, you can get other types of ANC bluetooth earphones for the same price with better sound qulaity. The battery life is INSANE though, at 45+ hours. I still can't recommend these to anyone, as it needs some refinement. Add this to the ANC app they have to control the EQ, and adjust the ANC to be stronger.

Best Buy would not accept return as the trip ended after their 14 day return policy. Very disappointed. Don’t waste your money.
