I needed to shoot a commercial and wanted to use my IPhone 8 Plus. This tripod mount worked like a champ and I made a great looking commercial!

I was on my way to an event I wanted to film, I had my iphone and a tri-pod but nothing to hold my iphone so I swung by Best Buy and grabbed this. Worked Great.

Needed something to hold my phone to video a volleyball match. This was priced right. It is easy to use once you figure out how it spins and rotates.

I needed this to use with a tripod that I’ve had for many years. It fit perfectly and I was able to record using my iPhone.

It holds my smartphone firmly. If you have a thick phone case, you might have to remove it before using the holder. The jaws are pretty shallow. The width of the holder may be an issue if you use a PopSocket. You'll need to grip at the end of the phone.

I have a 6" screen phone (BLU energy XL) and this fits it very well. The way it locks down the phone via screw gives it a solid hold and goes perfect with the gorilla pod.

I would’ve liked this mount to be cheaper, but after using it for a day it was well worth the money! I’m by no means a professional photographer and I really don’t use cameras, so my phone has become the main source for photos and videos. When I needed to capture video for a project, my phone was the only reliable source I had. This mount held it even with the otter box on! It worked perfectly with my tripod and the project was a success! Highly recommend this for anyone who will be using their phone for photo/video on a tripod!

if you bought the tripod, you need to also buy this, makes it much easier to slide a phone or device on and off, sturdy build quality.

The Joby GripTight is well named. When my device is in this holder I am very confident the device is not going anywhere. Easy to use and adjustable. I recommend it.
