Great for viewing phone, not for shooting with it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It holds the phone securely and works well for reading the screen, but the swivel isn't enough to use it for photography without attaching it to another ball head. Attaching it to a mini tripod means it can shoot straight ahead, at best or angled down. To shoot up, even slightly, the tripod must be flexible or a ball/pan head used to point the phones camera up, mounting the phone backwards makes the camera hard to use since you loose access to most of the screen.

Jaws open to about 3.75". The same knob opens and tightens the jaws as rotates from horizontal to vertical, but it can fool you. If you loosen it too far (until it stops) it jams the jaws. If that happens just tighten a slight bit and it will be OK.

I have a pretty slim case on my iPhone 12 and the cradle does not fit well over the case. The fit is better without the case but I really don’t like taking the case on and off.
