Sure enough, it works perfectly just like the iPad holder. I love the swivel holder and the ability to tighten the grip.

I have an Xr with a Speck case and it was fine. But none of the other phones in the family would fit due to thicker cases. You can take the phone out of the case and it will work but kind of a pain. Just a call out otherwise happy with this.

I've searched all over for something like this till I finally came upon this item. I wish best buy would carry the tablet version as well so you could attach a tablet to a tripod or anything that has a 1/4 Hole when your out working or filming

Great for making a cheap webcam with your phone

So, I looked for a telescoping tripod to use with my phone. No one has anything close. So, I found this smartphone tripod mount. It works for me!! Plus, it was only $20 bucks.
