Works well but maybe a little more pricy than I expected for the features

I ordered this item about a month or so back. It was advertised as an open-box item labeled as in like new condition. The checkout and initial delivery expectations went normally. Then I started receiving conflicting updates. Best Buy alerted me that the item was being shipped. But the USPS site kept reporting that a label was created but they were still waiting to receive the item. After 4 days of confusion called BB's customer service. I was transferred to three different departments. The 1st two told me that they could ship one brand new at the discounted price but that department was unable to make those changes and they would transfer me to the correct department for that to happen. After 2 hours of chat and phone conversations, I was told by the CSR on the 3rd transfer that there wasn't a way to do that. it's Best Buy and they couldn't afford to take a $50.00 loss and send me the item from the store? This is the first time I've had any sort of issue with Best Buy. The whole has left me with doubts when it comes to purchasing open-box items. I also wondered how much Best Buy truly appreciates their customers...

Looks and feels great. Everything works as expected except one thing. The weight capacity is not as advertised. I put 10 lbs on this device and the legs started to bend inward. Disappointed to say the least.

too lightweight to handle too much weight!! Just be careful. Mostly just a flimsy piece that extends height of tripod.

Build quality was really meh for the price. What makes it worse is that the plate would not stay straight on my camera in portrait mode, no matter how tight I tighten the set screw. This has never been an issue on my other tripods. If I set the camera in portrait mode (a Nikon D600 DSLR with a small lens), it starts drooping immediately and won't stay pointing straight forward. Really disappointing and had to return.

Haven't used this much yet but happy with everything, although it was a bit pricy.

Not quite as stable as I had hoped for the money. Performs well outside of that.

Bought it open box but had to return it due to it missing critical components even those it was allegedly geeksquad certified.

Worst Tripod I ever used. Nothing locks in place, the camera is on a never ending swivel. The legs are cheaply designed and the quality is very poor. Used it with a Cannon T7. Maybe you'd have better results using it with a smartphone.

This is a medium based tripod. Does not adjust smoothly and failed to hold my camera. Is no better than the cheep 25 dollar tripods. Do not purchase this is junk. It’s a complete rip off. A China cheep tripod not worth the money at all!!!

It's a nice quality build, except it's not meant for cell phones. This is a return for me. Who buys regular cameras anymore?!
