I ended up returning to Best Buy because the DVD's where in card board sleeves. This caused scratches on some of the DVD's. They should have been in paper sleeves to avoid the problem.

Some selections were classics, others not so good, Quality was surprisingly mediocre for a blu ray, though overall worthwhile for Wayne lovers.

Couldn't play. Computer ( VLC ) wouldn't accept this Blue-Ray and DVD/Blue-Ray player wouldn't play either. Msg said I needed to update my software to play. Not very happy. Both computer and player are new.

John Wayne Film Collection [7 Discs] Each disc in its on spot on a spindle The Blu-ray set only has the following movies: The Big Trail The Barbarian and the Geisha The Horse Soldiers North to Alaska The Comancheros The Longest Day The Undefeated You will NOT get Red River, Legend of the Lost, or The Alamo , which are included in the dvd set. The dvd set has 10 movies, the bluray set has 7 of the 10 movies. The dvd set are all pushed into cardboard slots which I don't care for but the bluray is packaged like sets should be. Some comments are there aren't any extras, but you have to realize these are mostly form the 1950s and 1960s and The Big Trail is from the 1930s so if your looking for extras, look elsewhere. I watched all the movies and they look great and sounded good to me. I was surprised by the clarity of The Longest Day. Only thing I wished is that the bluray had all 10 movies instead of 7 like the dvd version has, and I wished the dvd set was on spindles instead of slid into cardboard slots. I bought the dvd version a few months before I found the bluray set or I would of just bought the bluray set. Thank You

Aside from one movie in this film collection, it is a very excellent assortment of movies with John Wayne. The price for the set is excellent too especially when it is compared to purchasing each movie separately!

Get to BB to order and it is Backorder only, This is before 7:00 AM. What is up with that! Then I want to see if I have any of these movies. Ha, do you think I can find a list of what movies are on this set. Heavens no, that would be too much work for some one to write out! 2 Stars only because it is John Wayne and Blu-ray.

John Wayne is an American Icon. What a great actor! Would recommend to anyone that loves classic westerns.

I love the movies but have them all on dvd and find they are the same as buying the dvd in sound that is 2.0 or 1.0 on many of the films they should all be 5.1 or better. I am disappointed that they are not better sound. I love John Wayne movies and look forward to seeing them on blue ray but am often disappointed that they are not as enhanced as they should be for blue ray. Two other examples are The War Wagon and Roster Cogburn that do not have extras and are the same in sound as the dvd
