Practical and Stylish Wireless Charging Desk Mat

This Journey Wireless Charging Desk Mat is quite simply, really really nice. While basic in design, the mat does look rather stylish, and its neutral black color should compliment any desk setup. The vegan leather top mat is good quality, and feels very smooth; optimal for ease of mouse movement. The felt mat underneath is nice and soft, and won't mar any desk surface it's on. Do keep in mind that the charging mat is rather large, measuring approximately 30 3/4" x 14 1/2". There being plenty of space on its surface for a keyboard and mouse, with room to spare. The rectangular wireless charging pad is also covered with smooth vegan leather. It attaches to either side of the mat via a magnetic strip hidden within one felted end. This enables the charging pad to be placed on the left or right side of the desk mat, depending on your own personal preference (and if you're right or left handed). I will say that it's super convenient to have my iPhone and Airpods charging within arms reach. However, having the two surfaces of the mat separate - the vegan leather and felted side - seems an unnecessary feature as you'd not want to tuck paper (or anything) between them, since this would cause the mat to no longer lay flat and smooth. In my opinion, this Journey ALTI Wireless Charging Desk Mat is somewhat overpriced for what it is. But it's made well, looks great, and does exactly what it's been designed for.

Looks Good And Convenient Charging while You Work

The ALTI wireless charging desk mat looks good and is wide enough to fit my keyboard and mouse. It looks really good and is made of quality material. Components There are 3 pieces in the box. It comes with the desk mat, charging pad, and USB-C cable. All are high quality and of durable construction. It also has a professional look and feel to the mat and pad. I like the professional look of it. Charging Pad The charging pad can be used stand alone or connected to the mat. It connects by way of a magnet that runs the length of one side of the mat. It's a solid connection. I'm not having to worry about bumping the charging pad and it shifting. Once connected it isn't going anywhere. The pad has a USB-C connection on one end which is where it gets power. I connected it to a USB-C port on my computer and that provides the power needed by the pad to wirelessly charge devices. The pad has two locations on it where you can wirelessly charge. One is where you charge things like your wireless charge case for ear buds. The other one is where you would charge your phone. The one for earbuds has an indentation to it where you would rest your charge case. Many earbud charging cases would fit in the indentation, but some would not. I have multiple sets of earbuds from different manufacturers. Two fit well in the recess, but one case is a little too long to fit down in it well enough to charge. I can still place the longer charge case on the part where I charge my phone, but that isn't ideal. The other two charge cases have no problem charging there. The second location on the pad where I can charge my phone is raised which makes it easy for me to know where to place my phone. I don't have to shift it around to make sure it is in the right spot to begin charging. The surface of the pad has a nice feel to it. It also has an LED indicator light between the USB-C port end of the pad and the earbud charge spot. It will indicate something isn't right with a device by turning red. If everything is ok, it will be white. Desk Mat The desk mat has a good look and feel to it. The top part is faux leather. The bottom is a felt pad. It hasn't shifted or moved around at all since I first placed it on my desk. The felt wraps around one end about an inch. This is where the charge pad magnetically connects to the mat. It's a very strong magnet so no worries about the pad being bumped and it disconnecting from the mat. The felt wrapping around the end does mess with the look a little. If it didn't do that, and it was just the charge pad to leather, it would look better. Instead it is charge pad to felt to leather. Hopefully Journey will find a way to address that in the future. Final Thoughts I like the look and feel of the pad and charge mat. The one I have is black so it matches the bezel of my monitor as well as my laptop, keyboard, and mouse. It has a clean professional look and the charge pad makes it so convenient to charge my earbuds and my phone while I'm working. It allows my phone to be right next to me while I work. The magnet holds my phone in place well. I would have to bump it hard before it would release it, so I don't have to worry about a clumsy moment when I accidentally bump my phone as it isn't likely to release from the magnet that easy. I like what Journey has done with the ALTI wireless charging desk mat. In the future I would like to see Journey make the recessed part for earbuds a little larger to accommodate more earbud charge cases and I would hope that they would change the design to where the felt isn't wrapped around one end of the mat. Most earbud charge cases will fit in the recessed charge spot, so for most people that won't be an issue and I don't really notice the felt while working. I only notice it when I reach for my phone to remove it from the charging pad. I would recommend the Journey ALTI wireless charging pad and believe that people would be as happy with it and it's convenience as I am.

Overall I really like this mat. It is simple, but there are a couple places with room for improvement. Quality and feel: This has a premium look and feel. The brown color compliments my desk perfectly, and the feel of the leather product is fairly high end. Use: The mat is in two pieces. One is the "general" mat, the other is the charging side. The charging side uses magnets to attach to the regular side of the mat. You are able to use one or the other without...the other. This is a nice touch depending on the size and layout of the desk. The charging side has 3 "parts". A slightly raised magnetic charging area for a phone (which, I LOVE the raise portion which allows for the camera on the phone to dangle down), an indented area for headphones, and a small indicator light. The light slowly pulsates if a device is charging, and it is solid on if there is power with no charging occurring. The magnet is very strong, and holds the phone in place well. The general side of the mat has two sides. One felt, one "leather". You are able to use one side or the other by simply just flipping it over if you prefer. Also, it is able to flip apart, by peeling it open like a book. You can slip pieces of paper in there to store out of sight if needed. A few cons: The felt side is a little bit slippery. The mat easily slides around my wood desk. I would have preferred it to be a little more grippy. The leather side, surprisingly, is a bit of a finger print magnet. Overall, it is a great looking, quality mat, with some room for improvement, but definitely will continue to like and use it!

This thing is ok. The charging spot is incredibly touchy and has to be aligned perfectly to actually make the connection, unlike most of my other wireless chargers. It's fine, it does the job. However at this price point I expected better quality.

The Journey - Alti wireless charging desk mat is a very solid all around mat for my keyboard, mouse, iphone and airpods. The overall size of the mat is perfect and it fits my keyboard perfectly and allows me ample space to track with my mouse. I also like that underneath the main portion I have hidden storage for any ancillary papers that I might have. The charging portion is separate from the main mat which I really like because it allows me to place it on either side. Personally, I am keeping it on the left hand side and it is very nice to be able to charge my phone and Airpods on this and grab them whenever I need to. It also can be completely isolated from the desk mat so if it is more convenient to keep it on the edge of your desk or elsewhere that is an option. The mat also does not slide around much but every now and then it will slide with enough force from my arm. The bottom portion is very light and I think that is the reason for this. I have used heavier desk mats before and it is nice to not have these move. However, none of them have an option for a phone charger or airpod charger. Overall, it is a very solid desk mat for the price and I would recommend it.

The JOURNEY - ALTI Wireless Charging Desk Mat is a welcome addition to my home office computer setup. I have been using an older wireless charging puck that is starting to show its age and oftentimes the phone gets knocked off-center and not charging anymore. That problem has now been resolved by the ALTI Charging Desk Mat that is equipped with the wireless MagSafe feature. Moreover it also has a separate wireless charging MagSafe surface for AirPods, and other Qi compatible earbuds and smart watches from popular brands like Apple, Samsung and Google. A USB-C to USB-C cable is provided but you have to provide your own power adapter. The phone charger portion is rated at 15W and the watch/pods charging square is rated at 5W, so you have to hook it up to a powerful enough power adapter that can drive both. The mat itself is smooth faux leather on one side, available in a few different colors and the underside is a grayish felt type wool material. It is reversible and both sides work quite well with optical mice. I prefer the felt side up which doubles for a bit of a wrist-pad. If you have a TKL TenKeyLess compact keyboard without a numeric pad like I do, you’ll have plenty of mouse realestate. Even with a full size keyboard there should be sufficient space for a mouse, since the ALTI Desk Mat is about 30” wide in total. The charging section is detachable, secured by a magnetic strip, so it can be attached to either the left or right side of the main pad to accommodate righty or lefty mouse usage. All in all this is a good quality, comfortable mouse/keyboard/dual-charging pad that would be a greater value if a power adapter was included at this price point.

Journey did a really great job of providing an item that makes the lives easier of working professionals, WFH, or anyone who wants to have a nice clean, computer/laptop setup with additional features. Included in the box you will find the desk mat with the charging pad, and a USB. Everything you need to transform your space. I plugged mine into my desk USB port, and was able to place my phone, and AirPods on the charging pad without a hitch. You can move the charging port, or leave it attached to the mat which is a convenient feature. I found that the magnet is strong enough that you wouldn’t be able to easily move or hit your items off of the charging pad. Being able to work and not have to have additional wires for each electronic has been an added bonus. The desk at is made up of vegan faux leather that has a very high quality feel, and fits my keyboard and mouse easily. My mouse is able to glide across it without a hitch, and the felt underneath really keeps the mat in place while working. Overall the Journey ALTI Wireless Charging Desk Mat in any color is a great addition to any workspace, or place!

In the box is the mat with a separate charging plate, USB-C to USB-C charging cord, instructional and information manual. First Impression - Not sure if I like the separate pieces of the charging plate and the mat and the top part of the mat is liftable. I do love the felt cushion but I do wish that the mat was a little bigger since I have a larger work table in my home office. I chose this item because I have a desk mat at home that is thin and when I need to write a quick note with my fine point ballpoint or gel pen, I write through the paper. As soon as I placed the mat on my work desk, I immediately attempted to write on a sticky note and I am very pleased that I was able to write a full sticky note of information without cutting through the sticky note paper. I will note that depending on your setup, it will be difficult to write on a full sized piece of paper if you have your keyboard and mouse on the mat. The mat stayed in place all day and the top layer of the mat is very comfortable and I actually really like having the additional padding on the bottom. It gives your whole arm a little more cushion. I am very impressed with the size of the charging part of the mat and I am glad that it is separate so that I can move it around on my desk. There is a magnet strip on the side that binds the top and the bottom layers of the mat. I didn’t notice it until I started moving the charging station part around my desk. The magnetic part is not really strong but it’s enough to keep the both pieces together. The magnet section for the phone (the circle) is SUPER strong, and it works great for my phone. (Please note, I normally charge my phone at night, so I waited until my phone was about 77% and I tried out the charging and it charged to 100% in about 35 minutes. I used my fast charger that I got with my tablet.) So if you are one that moves your arm around the desk constantly throughout the day even if you hit accidentally hit your phone while it is charging, it shouldn’t move. You have to physically take the phone off the charger for it to move. The USB-C charge cord is at the top or you can flip it around and it can be on the bottom. Your choice. It can be on the right or left of the mat, or if you want to place it somewhere else, it is separate from the mat, so you can put it anywhere. Currently, I am undecided where I want to keep mine because I need it to be closer to my charging tower. The square section for your headphones magnet section is not as strong. So beware with the arm movements. There is a small dot above the square charge port and it blinks when the circle charger is in use. Overall, I am very pleased with the mat and charging plate and I would definitely purchase again! I would also recommend to friends and family.

I was skeptical at first about this desk mat, that is until I received it and placed it on my desk. The one I received has an overall footprint on the desk of approx. 14x31 inches. If your desk is not deep enough to accommodate this one they also make a slim one. There are some things that I like and some things I think could be better. Things I like are the reversible mat, the fact that the mat is two layers and the use of different materials on each side. I love the fact that one side is water resistant, not sure what Vegan leather is but it has an almost plastic feel to it but is does have a leather odor to it. It is nice to be able to separate the leather and felt sides to insert pieces of paper that you don't want to lose. If you get tired of working with one side you can flip it over and use the other side. Also, another nice feature is that the charging pad is detachable making it very versatile for any configuration. The pad attaches via a magnet to hold it in place. This makes it possible to set it up for either left or right hand configuration. There are only a couple of things that I found I don't really like and could be improved upon. First is that it doesn't come with a power source for the charger however supplied is a USB-C to USB-C cable to hook up to your own charging brick. The other downside I have found with it is when having the leather side up and the felt side down is that is will slide if you are a desk leaner. Most desk mats that I have used in the past have a rubber back that keeps them in place. This is not a deal breaker but if they could put that type of material on the end with the magnet that attaches the charging base. it may stay in place better. Aside from the two bad points I have, this is a pretty good mat that is innovative in its design. I would recommend it to anyone that has devices in the Apple eco system as that is what I have. It is a great place to keep my iPhone and AirPods handy while at the desk.

A Stylish Magsafe Charging Mat For Your Desktop

Journey has developed a stylish alternative to the sticky mouse mat/desk mat situation that most of us have put up with for far too long. The vinyl stickers irritate at the edges, gather gunk, you name it. Not so with the ALTI, which beyond presenting a tidy work surface, is softer and less irritating at the edges than other desk or mouse mats. This mat comes in a number of attractive color combinations, is reversible (that is, you can flip the mat over from the leather side to the felt side, and you can also shift the charging dock from the left side to the right side), and is cleanable with simple soap and water (even on the felt side). While the soft felt side had a little drag that I think may need some time to get used to, the vegan leather side offered a nice smooth texture. The charging functionality works great and eliminates my redundant USB-C charging station in favor of a more compact solution. The ability to stow papers between the surfaces of the mat is neat but... maybe oversold, as anything larger than a sheet or two of paper creates a bevel that you will notice and have to navigate. All in all, this is a fast way to tidy your desk and create an attractive surface to your work desk.

This says reverisble but there is really only one side that I would use, the other side is okay at keeping it from sliding around on my desk, it’s not a hard stick like other mats but it doesn’t move while I use the computer (I do have a glossy wood desk so it’s friction coefficient is a little lower than other surface types). But all that to say the smooth side feels premium while the other side bugs my skin when I try to use it (this once again is probably a me thing). But to the point, what I don’t like about one side maybe someone else loves and it does give an cool like with the fabric side up. The charging portion has a magnetic side that attaches to the pad so that they look like one mat and it looks good. But most importantly it works good, I am not the biggest apple fan, I have one but my main phone is android… however, they have figured out the best way to charge, magsafe is the only way to use wireless charging in my mind. With normal wireless charging mats, I have to take that extra second to make sure it’s actually charging but with magsafe it just sucks it to it and starts charging. So this charging pad is perfect for my use, I no longer have to deal with a wire getting tangled up as I usually have to have a cable come around as I like my phone exactly where this puts it. I also love the that I have a earbud charger, which does work with non-airpod cases as well which is great as I have a few different types (it also works with airpods). The only case I couldn’t get working was a larger case that didn’t fit in the cut out, so if you have a larger case this may be an issue for you. I personally would prefer it to be a bit longer as it leaves the mouse area just a tad smaller than I like it but it is completely usable as well (more of an aesthetics than usability) Pros: Nice Looking Reversible Quality feeling Cons: A tiny bit on the small side Ear bud charging depression airpod sized so doesn’t fit overlarge wireless charging cases No power adapter in box

The Journey ALTI Wireless Charging Desk Mat is a minimalistic and elegant solution for modern workspaces. This product serves as a protective surface for your desk and also as a wireless charging station. In addition, if you have a glass desk like I do, it serves as a mouse pad since I cannot use my mouse on the glass surface. The Journey ALTI is made from high-quality vegan leather that is, durable, smooth textured, and provides a comfortable surface to work on. The mat is equipped with a Qi-certified wireless charging pad, capable of charging smartphones, earbuds, and other Qi-compatible devices efficiently and the cable for the built-in wireless charger is long enough that it will reach most outlets without an issue. I had no issues charging my iPhone or airpods on the integrated wireless charger. I like clean simple services and I normally don’t use desk mats or mouse pads. The only reason for me to use a desk mat or mouse pad is if the surface I am working on won’t work with a mouse. So, for my usage and my perspective, I want to ensure that the desk mat I am using provides as many functions as possible. If you like desk mats or need one I would recommend looking at the Journey ALTI as it incorporates numerous desk top functions, the biggest of which is the integrated wireless charger.

I picked this item up because I wanted to be able to charge my phone at my desk and not have to unplug it to answer it. I had looked at leather desk covers before in person and this one caught my eye. It is built fairly well and the felt back helps it stay secure under the computer and adds a bit of soft touch to it on the desktop. The wireless charging pad is nice because it has 2 slots, one for phone and one for another item, which I have several earbuds I can charge with this. The charging portion is not attached to the matt portion, so it can be moved to either side for your preference. I have it to my left because my mouse is on the right. There are several colors to choose from, if got the blue. This matt feels durable enough it should go e me plenty of years of function. At the current price point, it is a but of a premium product, there are cheaper alternatives (like non matched charger and matt), but they do not have quite the same feel/thickness. This can be used as felt side or vegan leather side, I use the leather because I like the blue and leather feel, the felt is grey. I cannot deduct any stars for this in any area, it dies what it says and adds a nice even layer to type and run a mouse across. 5 stars.

I've always used my computer setup without any kind of mouse pad or mat. I saw this and thought maybe it's the missing piece of the puzzle. Packaging is frustration free and simple and everything comes pretty much together already. The side piece that lets your wireless charge your phone and airpods (or compatiable earbuds) can be moved to the left or the right side depending on your preference and setup. The wireless charger for the phone is a nice mag safe option and feels snappy with my iphone and mag safe case. The charger for earbuds worked fine for my airpods and also a pair of sony xm4's as well. The mat surface is not what I was expecting is soft not quite as hard as you would like but the plus side is you can lift it up and store papers under it. The problem is if you try to store anything other than a single sheet of paper than the bumps make moving a mouse weird and awkward. It's a good solution if you have a single piece of paper you like to keep nearby and possibly hidden. Overall it does everything it sets out to, a nice combo piece for my keyboard mouse and an all in one charging solution for my phone and airpods, to help clean up my desk.

I had been in the market for a wireless charging solution for my home office desk so I was intrigued with the possibilities of the Journey Alti Wireless Charging Desk Mat. Conceptually I really liked the idea of a flat surface that didn’t take up desk real estate but allowed me to charge my phone and AirPods with ease. This wireless charging mat is not only functional but has a very premium look to it. For the actual mat portion you can choose to use the soft felt-like material side of it or the quality vegan leather side. As what seems to have become the norm for a lot of products now you do not receive an adapter with the charging mat but you do receive a usb-c charging cable. For most people this probably won’t be a problem as you likely have a spare adapter available considering how many devices the average person owns now but otherwise be prepared to purchase one. The charging pad quickly connected and started charging my devices with ease. The mat was a little smaller than I expected but it wasn’t a huge deal and definitely was adequate for my needs. Overall I really like this charging solution
