Great spinoff taking place in a familiar place. Judgement has a great story and the gameplay matches as well. Definitely worth playing, especially if you're into the Yakuza series!

As a huge fan of the Yakuza series, stepping back into Kamurocho with a new protagonist and a different story arc was a cool idea. Judgment is a great game and a must play for fans of the Yakuza series!

A spin-off game of the Yakuza series. It's an awesome crime and corruption investigation story with tight melee combat mechanics and RPG elements. The game looks beautiful. Highly recommend.

This is an interesting game that has a detective story/elements and a 3D beat 'em up combat system. The other major feature of the game is the compact open world where you can get to know the citizens and complete a bunch of side activities. The mystery aspect of the game and figuring out who the culprit of the murders is really interesting. There are some genuinely interesting characters and twists that keep the story interesting. The voice acting (English or Japanese) and cutscenes are also really good. There are a lot of side/world activities that can make the game drag if you try to do them all.

I've never played any of the Yakuza games but after playing this one (which is made by the same people) I just might. Fun combat, great story and lot of side activities.

Judgment is a hand-to-hand fighting based story game. Although it offers much more than Tekken style battles, the story itself is a counter part to the Yakuza franchise. This game is NOT directly related to that story, however does give you the feel of the Yakuza franchise.

Captivating story with tons of twists and turns. Nothing new for yakuza fans. Lovable cast of characters and great action as well! I definitely recommend this!

Fun video game. It's a detective style yakuza game however you do not need to play the other games to understand the story or characters.

Judgment is a spin-off to the Yakuza series. The location and the assets of the game are similar to Yakuza 0, but the storyline is definitely different. The story is well-written, and I absolutely love it. The similarities between the Yakuza series and Judgment are the combat system and the sidequests, but some new features are added in the game, such as the investigation mode. The protagonist needs to engage in these investigations in order to solve the cases.

If you are a fan of the Yakuza games you will enjoy more of the same. They threw in some more elements like tracking people, drone racing, and even some Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney moments. This game more or less plays the same though as the Yakuza games with the same quirky side missions and satisfying beat em up gameplay. If you've never played the Yakuza games I would describe them as a 3D version of old school games like Double Dragon or TMNT Lost in Time. People describe this game as "GTA set in Japan" but it plays NOTHING like GTA. It's closer to Shenmue if anything.

If you've never tried out a Yakuza game because your overwhelmed by how many there are or don't like reading subtitles, this is a great place to see how the formula works in English!! It has it's differences, being a standalone spin-off, but it captures what makes those games great and has a great English dub. The original Japanese voice tracks are still available for fans of that more authentic vibe too. Loads of content. Great action. Definite must-play.

The combat in this game is awesome, the story is great so far. The detective aspects of this game are really cool too. Im glad I gave this game a chance.

Great brawler game with rpg elements. Story is intriguing and had me hooked to the end. Lots of side stuff to do in the world but since I perchased a bunch of game recent with all these sales I decided to skip most of it except from time to time going into the arcade to play old video games. Oh yeah did i mention how I love the inclusion of english voice acting? This is especially great for me because of my vision, So I don't have to regularly need to move up close to the tv to read.

I came to this game after playing Yakuza 0 & 1. I expected Judgment to be different but I'm actually surprised with how similar it is. The deviations are more about atmosphere. You're not expected to be like Kiryu and be the strongest person in town. You're meant to outsmart opponents and be a clever detective. There's a really great story here and keeps you hooked with great cliffhangers. I found the later chapters to be genuinely chilling as they introduced and genuinely terrifying antagonist. I wholeheartedly recommend this game to everyone.

I loved this game, huge fan of the Yakuza series finishing every game but Yakuza 5. Gameplay is fun, graphics are good, story is good.
