Almost as good as Jurassic Park, contains spoilers
|Posted .Jurassic World is opened to the public and Malcom's chaos theory kicks in from their latest dino. The park is what you would expect it to be with the mosasaur water tank, raft, hamster ball, monorail, aviary dome, ride baby dinos, etc. A revisit to Jurassic Park was a fine touch, a blast from the past. Pratt's role as being the father figure to raptors was interesting, but choosing raptors for military purposes I found it less so. I feel that the Indominus Rex's camouflage ability was a tribute to one of the dinos mentioned in the Lost World novel similar to how Pratt's motorcycle ride with the raptors was in the same novel. My only con was the way how Indominus Rex escaped, it was just stupid but I'm glad the person got eaten. I thought it's ability to speak raptor was weird, but not necessarily a con (why would they make it part raptor when there's so much to risk?). Overall, it was a great movie. I wish Michael Crichton was still alive so that he could have written additional novels. There's nothing left to draw inferences upon from his novels.

ANOTHER GREAT ADDITION
|Posted .Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendThis movie is great, has amazing FUNNY lines, fast action, really sets a nice pace. The sound is great, can't say enough good things about the sound, it has what you expect for the money you spend on a disk of this magnitude, the money they spent was well placed. You get high quality content. The CGI is so realistic you forget its CGI and just fall into the story and lose yourself in the emotion and staging of the drama and action.

Summer blockbuster
|Posted .As far as summer blockbusters go, this film ranks right up there with the best of them. This movie generated enough ticket sales during it's theatrical release to propel it to the number 3 spot on the list of all time worldwide box office grosses. In terms of story and performances, this movie could have been better. I have to give credit to the two child actors, Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson as they both did a really good job on their roles in the movie. The special effects in this movie are top shelf and are visually stunning, especially in 3D. The 3D version of this film is crisp and clear with very good use of depth. The picture is very sharp and clean with great detail. The audio is very good, and this film really makes use of the surround channels more so than many movies today. My only complaint about this film is that Bryce Dallas Howard's character wears heels through this entire film. When the action ramps up in this movie she never changes her shoes or takes off her heels even when she is running through the wilderness of the park. This was a tad bit unbelievable for me.

Excellent Action Packed Movie
|Posted .It's worth to watch. At some point Claire(Bryce Dallas Howard) revealed to Owen(Chris Pratt) that the corporate felt genetic modification would up the 'wow' factor. Well Colin Trevorrow, you are trying too hard to make a blockbuster instead of something memorable. In my opinion Owen and Simon(Irrfan Khan) played convincingly well, and lifted the movie, despite the plot being very predictable, not to mention the coerced family bonding field trip moments. The super intelligent multilingual hybrid dinosaur with thermal and cryptic camouflage is just too much. It even sports its own long range thermal sense. However, I would not say the movie sucks, it has many good qualities and much of the same atmosphere that we found in the original movie. It is certainly entertaining with awesome CGI, massive dinosaurs roaming vast grassy fields(which should at least inspire some awe in most people), decent acting, and not too many plot holes. The latter part of the movie has plenty fast paced action.. with a notable exception for Claire on high heels outrunning a T-Rex... facepalm.

Jurassic World is so awesome...
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI very recently purchased Jurassic World on Blu-Ray & I just love this movie... It reminds me of the Original but with an additional "modern twist of things"... I would definitely recommend the purchase of this movie at BestBuy to family & friends for sure... The graphics & sound were so much better than in the movies.. The only two other things that can top this is not if I would've brought this movie in 3D Blu Ray as well as WHEN BestBuy bring back "UPGRADE & SAVE" so that I could've saved some additional money on this purchase...

One of the best movies of the summer 2015
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI thought this movie was almost as good as the first, although probably better in the visual effects. It was easily one of my favorites of the year so far. I'm very excited to add it to my movie collection for future viewings with family and friends.

Jurassic Horror
|Posted .Owned for 7 months when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendI had moved and was having issues getting cable and internet hooked up, for like two months, so on Black Friday last year I went to Best Buy and bought a bunch of movies to keep myself entertained (I’d switched to digital over the years, and not having internet meant I couldn’t watch any of them). I picked out some of my favorite movies and made it through the dark times lol.

Great movie!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis definitely evokes the magic (and more) of the original movie. Something like 20 years after the original movie--so perhaps 15 or so years after Jurassic 3--Jurassic World is up and running (and has been for a while) on Isla Nublar, the original island. [One must wonder why they didn't learn from 3 consecutive disasters.] The park administrator's two teen nephews come for a visit on the very day that the park's new yet-to-be-revealed dinosaur, Indominus Rex, uses impressive trickery and strategy to escape from the compound where she's spent her entire life. Now, more than 20,000 people are in harm's way. Special effects are great, the homages to the original film are really nice, Chris Pratt is amazing. Featurettes are nice; it's easy to see why the deleted scenes were cut, and the movie is wonderful without them. Love this movie. Saw it twice in theaters and close to a half-dozen times since getting this disc set.

Jurassic World Limited Edition Packaging (Blu-ray/
|Posted .To begin with, I’ve never hated/disliked the previous two Jurassic sequels, not even the third movie, even though popular consensus dictates that I should. As flawed and not good as the first movie as they are, they still had their own awesome moments that made them fun, worthwhile watches. Having said all that—Jurassic World puts the previous two sequels to shame, and there’s no doubt in my mind that this is the worthy sequel to the classic original that most fans had waited for. Michael Giachinno’s score is magnificent, the writing is solid, the pacing is nearly perfect, the acting is great, the dinosaurs are as gorgeous as ever, the climax takes the word “kickass” and cranks it to 11—there is just too many noteworthy things of what this movie got right. I’m even so far as conflicted as deciding whether this movie is possibly even better than the first movie, but I’ll need more time before figuring that out.

Great for collectors!
|Posted .Jurassic World picks up where the first one leaves off, some 20 years later with a new park opened. Every few years, a new attraction is made to keep people interested, but their latest attraction has gotten out and it's on a destructive rampage. It's still not "Jurassic Park", but no movie will ever be the original. After number 3, it was almost like "how many excuses are they going to think of to go back to the islands?". It has been confirmed that this takes places after Jurassic Park, so seeing 2 and 3 are not needed, however you can if you still want to as the movie itself doesn't actually say none of that happened, that was the director. Picked this up on sale for $20. I had seen this version with the collectible tin everywhere else, but it was always more expensive at other stores. Plus, they had a deal to get matching tins for the previous three movies, so I snatched them up right away!

Great viewing options for a Great Movie!
|Posted .We purchased this movie for my son, who has been obsessed with Jurassic World for quite some time. It was an early Christmas present from our Elf on the Shelf. He screamed when he saw it, and of course he wanted to watch it immediately. The graphics and sound are excellent and the extras are enjoyable. I appreciate the package including a blu-ray disc, dvd, and code for a digital copy of the movie. This gives us ample ways of watching it whenever or wherever we like.

Bigger and badder than a T-Rex?
|Posted .Growing up playing with toy dinosaurs, learning about them in grade school and watching the ancient Claymation special effect movies of the 60's have made me love the Jurassic Park movies at first sight. Spielberg's movies have expounded upon the classic Claymation movies of the past to really bring realism to dinosaur cinema. In this one, Jurassic World revisits the concept of the original Jurassic Park movie theme: bring the wonder of gigantic and historic creatures to the public in supposed safety by creating dinosaurs from DNA scratch and utilize other reptile DNA for what is not known. In "World," we are asked to understand the brass of the new park has focused originally on 'safe' herbivores to populate the park and draw in visitors but fell victim to the pressures of economics to create bigger, badder, more dangerous reptiles to revitalize revenue as attendance fell. Toss in the ignorance of people playing God in dealing with creations not fully understood and unable to control along with the requisite bad guy who wants to use the concept for purposes not intended, and we've got a classic movie of Dinosaur chaos. It's not as good as the original but it is still a very good movie that I highly recommend. Can you really imagine a meat eating lizard bigger and badder than a T-Rex with the ability to camouflage itself and command a pack of velociraptors? Now that is frightening.
