Technician guided me as to what i needed swift professional install…

I like the radio fine. I purchased a Kenwood and everything I needed to install it. When I arrived at my service appointment to have it installed, the guy wasn't thrilled that my appointment was after 4:00 pm and really didn't seem eager to install it. He said he needed more time. I understand, but I used Best Buy's service to find a radio that would fit my vehicle, order everything required for installation, and make the service appointment. I'm really not sure what else I could have done. He said the radio I purchased wasn't going to fit well. I appreciate that he told me it wouldn't fit and look good before installation. I had to purchase another radio. Of course, the only one in stock that would fit was over $400,00 more. Had I known that I would have so much money in this from the beginning, I would have never even started this project. I was told by the guy who helped me purchase the original radio that I could use my backup camera with the new radio, and the installers would plug it in. This was wrong. I had to purchase another camera, and installation is $150.00. The service people told me never to use Best Buy's online help when purchasing. This has been a costly lesson, but a lesson learned.

The installation of this unit has taken me into the 21st Century in terms of convenience and functionality. I added this unit to my 2007 Honda CRV which is in excellent condition but needed to be upgraded to handle digital media. I also needed a backup camera which was part of the update. I have just started using the Android Auto feature. It has a learning curve but I should be able to figure it out in a few days. The backup camera certainly adds an element of safety, especially in parking lots where people just walk without paying any attention to the cars around them. In terms of value, this unit was in the middle of the pack. Its modest price and many positive reviews helped to influence my purchase decision. Quality seems to be good, but only time will tell. In terms of ease of use, I previously pointed out that it obviously has a learning curve but nothing that should not be able to grasp in a few days. So far I am satisfied with this purchase and the folks at Best Buy did a great job with installation.

it is significantly easier to use navigation when i have access to carplay & that will always be a plus. the lights on the buttons change color which i like. my only issues with this radio are 1) it only has touch screen buttons and no physical dial for volume and 2) the clarity of my sound system appears to have been diminished. i like that it has many sound settings available (some of which sound great) but i can’t seem to get that clarity back.

Easy setup and navigation. However I do wish it had a volume knob instead of touch. Overall great product

My daughter is happy to have had this unit installed. She can use Apple Car Play and can use Navigation without having to stare at her phone while driving. For me it's more about Safety than anything else. The only thing I wish it had was a CD player, yes some folks still like CDs.

Affordable and reliable stereo interface for my classic FJ cruiser. Best Buy car tech specialist made it fit the dash perfectly! Sirius XM and phone works well. Radio reception is bad and I am trying to get that fixed one year later since the Sirius XM subscription ends soon.

Easy install. Easy setup. Camera screen looks good no pixelization in the screen. Contacted to IPhone easily. EQ easy setup. I do have the stereo hooked up with amp RF speakers great sound. This is not the top of the line stereo but, overall has a lot of good qualities.

Could not have asked for better. Amazing that it is a one din yet has such a big screen.

Im sure this is a me problem. For a professional it wouod be a breeze, and yet my idiot self thought “do it yourself. It will mean more. Think of the accomplishment you’ll feel”. And while all of those things are true and it does look phenomenal in my car… i would have rather not spent 16 hrs tryijg to figure out what i was doing. So i write this to say “if your reading this and hyper fixated on car play, youve never spliced wires togeather and you dont know what your doing. Just pay the man” PS the car play is phenomenal and worth evey penny

Stereo is a mid-level model, screen navigation is good, Android navigation works good, reception and stereo work good, sound is good. Recomend Stereo installation included two speakers, microphone, and a backup camara. I'm very satisfied with the installation and crew.

Love the Apple CarPlay feature, I would opt for BT version. Self installed, installation was straight forward for Jeep Grand Cherokee…slight modification needed, not exact fit.

I am very pleased with the installation of the sound system by Best Buy. I went to three sound system installers, where Best Buy had the highest price but were transparent, thorough and competent. I knew exactly what I was getting in addition to having the Geek Squad for warranty support.

Absolutely the best head-unit I’ve ever purchased. So many great features, the ability to use gestures to turn volume up or down and change songs is great! No need to search for a button or knob. Easily connect a rear monitor for the back seat or mirror your iPhone via hdmi (make sure to order the Jvc or kenwood micro hdmi to hdmi cable) I purchased a regular micro hdmi to hdmi cable not the automotive grade cable and it did not work.

The radio was installed in a 2005 Jeep and work flawlessly. We now have Bluetooth and USB access for our phones. Everything works great!!!!! The installation was done by Best Buy and the installation tech was very professional, polite and took the time to help with the initial setup of the stereo and connection to the cell phones.
