I recently installed car radio in my 2005 Chevrolet Equinox, and overall, I’ve had a great experience with it.
What I liked:
The design is sleek and modern, and the touchscreen is surprisingly responsive for a unit in this price range. It paired with my phone via Bluetooth almost instantly, and calls are crystal clear on both ends. I also appreciated the built-in navigation system—it’s basic but reliable enough for everyday use. The sound quality is a noticeable upgrade from my factory radio, especially with the equalizer settings customized.
What I don’t like is that sometimes i have to unplug the plug my phone back in to reset because the screen goes off or doesn’t respond.
Final Thoughts:
If you're looking for a budget-friendly upgrade with decent audio and Bluetooth functionality, the JVC car radio is a solid choice. Just be prepared for a few quirks and a learning curve when setting it up.

Works exactly as advertised. Connect my phone to the usb connection and I have full screen maps. Would be more convenient if itnwas bluetooth maps but I loke charging my phone at the same time so its not an issue. A little annoying on changing daylight savings time but only a minor inconvenience.

The stereo itself works great functions great. The install of it was OK when I first got it back. They didn’t hook up the back up camera. The phone function on it was connecting via Bluetooth and via CarPlay, but you couldn’t hear anything through the speakers took it back. They fixed all that issues. It was great got it back. They said that the install kit that they had was for the newer versions of the ram 1500 when I got it back home after that, I pulled it all off move the brackets on the stereo itself to push the stereo out through the hole to make it look better and more flush sanded some of the plastic down where the old stereo was then I also removed the CarPlay port and put a flush mount in as well to make it look better. All in all was great installers were great. Just need to pay a little bit more attention to detail with the installers or if something comes up they need to make sure that they contact the customer a little bit better and go over things with them. Other than that everything is great now.

I wanted an updated stereo and chose this one. I do enjoy it, I am going to by the same system for one of my other vechiles. It interacts with my bluetooth automatiocally. I do recommend it. I like how clear the display is. I like how it interacts with the apps I have on my phone. Very easy to use.

My old stereo that came with my jeep compass wasn’t working right anymore. (An issue with the model) I reached out to Best Buy because I need my music and backup camera. After going through several different options I chose this one. It’s much more advanced with the blue tooth technology and options it offers but it’s still user friendly. All that is topped off with how sleek and clean it looks in my vehicle.

I bought the JVC 6.8" Android Auto & Apple CarPlay Digital Media Receiver expecting a simple upgrade… and instead I think I accidentally installed a portal to a better universe.
First of all, the moment the screen lit up, my car whispered “Thank you.” I didn’t even know cars could talk, but apparently this one just needed a crisp 6.8 inches of digital glory to find its voice. The colors? Ridiculous. The touchscreen? Smoother than a dolphin wearing lotion.
Bluetooth connection? Instant. I barely thought about pairing my phone and the receiver said, “Already done.” I’m convinced it can read minds, or at least strong emotional energy.
CarPlay and Android Auto work so flawlessly that even my GPS sounds more confident now. It used to be like, “turn left?” and now it’s like, “TURN LEFT, CHAMP. YOU’VE GOT THIS.” Truly motivational.
The rear camera input is next-level. When I shift into reverse, it feels like Mission Control at NASA granted me clearance for a lunar landing. I back out of my driveway like a legend.
Since installing it, I’ve:
Hit zero wrong turns
Discovered three new shortcuts to work
Been complimented by strangers at red lights
Felt my cholesterol improve (cannot confirm if related)
Overall rating? Excellent isn’t enough. This thing deserves its own holiday, a parade, and maybe a documentary narrated by Morgan Freeman.
If you want a calm, reasonable upgrade—don’t buy this.
If you want your driving experience to ascend into the stratosphere of absurd greatness—buy immediately.

Nice head unit. Pleasent looking screens to choose from and sound quality is very good. Had a tough time getting my Samsung phone to pair but after several tries the tech finally got it done. Taking me a bit to get used to the control screens but I'm getting there. I do wish it has an actual knob for volume though.

Honestly this was suggested by one of their online associates and I was amazed by how awesome it is. I was looking at another one and didn’t want to spend too much and they found this one for me and it is everything I wanted and it was such a good deal. I love the look, touch screen and how easy it is to navigate!

It's an easy to use interface. Most functions are easy to find one you look around the first time. I do wish the was a bit more gradation in volume between 0 and 1. But for the price, I'm super happy with it.

Pretty good stereo for the price, sounds great paired with a 4 channel amp powering 2 61/2 kicker door speakers and a kicker monoblock powering a 12 inch rockford fosgate in a standard cab silverado. The unit has a 13 band equalizer with plenty of settings to fine tune the sound to your liking. The only cons is its only wired carplay which i prefer wireless but it is what it is and the volume swith is not a knob which takes a bit longer to lower the volume. With all that said this is still a great unit for the $250 price tag. If you’re on a budget this stereo will not disappoint!

I replaced my factory stock head unit with JVC 6.8, kept my stock speakers and it brought the sound back to life,
The features are easy to understand, connects to Bluetooth with ease, Apple CarPlay, android with no issues.
Sure you can spend 500-1000$ this JVC will do the same thing for less.
