Well product is ok , there is a bit of lag but it’s tolerable , I had this installed in my 2010 Toyota Tacoma . Best Buy did the install , which was pretty smooth , took the tech about 2 hrs , but here’s my issue with Best Buy . I ordered everything through a video call with an expert in car electronics . He was great , he recommended which screen I should get after I told him what I was trying to do . So I landed on this product ( which is pretty good in my opinion ) because it checked all my boxes ( connect wirelessly , added maestro to it to get vehicle data displayed on screen , which is awesome , and just a tiny bit of lag but doesn’t really bother me , also had a pre existing backup camera that I wanted hooked up to this product which the tech did . But here’s my issue with Best Buy , they scheduled my appt for install - so I show up when I was suppose to and the tech puts my info into the computer and asked if I picked up all the required products . I told him no I figured you can just grab them , so he told me to have a seat and he will go up front to grab the parts and come back and get started , well he came back and said I have bad news one of your parts didn’t show up ( and it was scheduled to be there the same day as my appt ) . So I said that really stinks , where is it then . So he looked in the system and couldn’t track where it was , he had to get a manager . The manager came in and found my shipment in the system and says it’s coming by store freight and it got rescheduled to be delivered on Monday . So I am pretty upset since I just wasted almost an hour of my time and gas to come to this appt for install , which I was suppose to have completed that day . This was on a Saturday - so I asked when’s the next available appt - he said wed - I saiid alright let’s book it I guess . So the piece that didn’t show up on time was the trim piece for my model truck , and you cannot complete the install without it . I was figuring okay I just spent almost 800 dollars Best Buy will give me some kind of a credit or compensation for ruining my Saturday and making me upset at no fault of my own . I was never notified of a delay in shipment until I had already left bestbuy …. So you think Best Buy would have giving me some form of compensation since it was there fault but there was no mention of it and they just kind of blew me off - I thought about just cancelling the whole order - since I am a loyal Best Buy customer and I have a store credit card with them , but they didn’t give me anything no gift certificate, no credit for their mistake , no nothing . So Best Buy corporate or if any Best Buy PR person sees this review , and wants to make it right that would be very much appreciated ….

I like this head unit, but it's very laggy with it. Android, auto or carplay. I wouldn't really recommend this. It also takes a while to load and play music. Air conditioner controls are Berry slow.

Just purchased , love it, even has speakers s I sounding better. EQ u can adjust sound to liking. Above my expectations. Would give 5☆ but had to purchase a device to add Sirius XM that i previously had and pay to get installed by Best Buy and then pay Sirius to transfer it. Make it make sense but sounds easier while purchasing item. Look to spend additional 3-4 hundred.

This car stereo is a jack-of-all trades in the best possible way. It has Carplay (wired and wireless). It has a nice responsive touchscreen. It allows for multiple cameras, including backup. The screen colors and icons are customizable. Most of all, it is simply well-made modern tech. I technically bought this two months ago and had to wait one month for my Geek Squad appointment. Ian and his crew were professional and efficient. They explained the installation process and made sure I got the most out of my investment. I appreciate their attention to detail. Once the stereo was installed, I did experience a small struggle getting wireless Carplay to work, even after initially starting with wired Carplay. Outside of that mishap, the stereo has worked perfectly for over a month now. I have not experienced any freezing issues and wireless Carplay works every time now. In short, the value of this device is INSANE. There are not many car stereo receivers from trusted brands with this many features--all for under $500. It is a worthy investment!

I had a factory radio and my wife suggested that I step into 2024 and get a updated car deck. The first deck that I got was a 6.8 screen because of the cost and I didn't think there would be much of a difference. The 6.8 screen seemed small so I upgraded to the 9 inch deck. It's a big difference, I'm glad I made the change. If you're thinking about the 9 inch screen do it! You will not regret it.

It is a great unit. It works well, and especially Android Auto. It comes on a few seconds after I start the car. The screen is not as bright as I would prefer. The sound is wonderful and the back camera works well. I would recommend it.

Read a few reviews about wireless CarPlay not being great. At the last minute the Best Buy technician suggested this one and said we would love wireless CarPlay in our 2011 Tahoe. He was right. It’s been a month, and have not seen any issues at all. Connect as soon as we get in the car. No drop outs or disconnects at all over a one month time frame. Much better than a wired connection. There is also a wired connection if you want that. Lots of great features on this receiver.

Upgraded my stock radio to this and it has been working perfectly. The radio connects wirelessly within a few seconds of turning on my truck to my Android phone and it even does it for my fiancé when she borrows my truck.

Radio is good quality. Apple carplay is relatively smooth. I have a factory Bose system that comes with an amp and sub. Used the RCA inputs on the back if this unit. Brought my car sound system to life! I definetly recommend!

After extensive research, I chose this unit for its competitive price and impressive features, making it a top contender even among more expensive options. However, post-installation, I encountered several issues. Best Buy’s mobile services handled the installation, but I had to return to the store multiple times. The technician verified and attempted to resolve the faults, which included memory loss and the unit unexpectedly reverting to “demo mode.” Despite the excellent assistance from Best Buy installer Richard, who was diligent in troubleshooting, the issues persisted. Ultimately, I decided to return the unit. While I may have received a rare faulty unit, I preferred not to endure the ongoing troubleshooting process.

The screen is too small and always has a glare. It doesn't tilt to make up for this. Also, all the functions don't operate. There is no SCAN for the radio either. It would be better to have a knob that turns for volume as this one has a slow response time.

Item is pretty much what I was looking for. BTW, speaking of what I was looking for, the big thing I wanted was SiriusXM. Unfortunately the sales person did not include the SiriusXM module. Luckily I spent some time going over the order and found it was missing and I had to order it separately. The install for all of this went well, but the XM radio kept on fading or cutting out completely. Took it back to the store and the techs were able to change the location of the antenna and everything now works properly. The carplay is working as expected and does the job wonderfully.

I got this headunit as an upgrade from the JVC KW-M560BT. Was looking for wireless android auto, and 4volt pre-out. This has those features, yes. But the connectivity of this headunit is prrtty spotty!! Always lagging and frezzing if i go from the home screen back to android auto, maps constantly frezzing and prevents touches until i reconnect. The WIRED android auto has given me the same issue so unfortunately it's just the headunits processor. The last thing i noticed about this headunit is the noise and distortion from it, im sure apart of the issue has to be my lack of higher quality coaxial cables, but this untit in my vehicle just doesnt get very high on volume before distortion hits. I have an O-scope i used to check for at what volume im receiving distortion at and its right at 26, headunit goes to 40 i believe, so just a few clicks above half and it starts become a dirty signal. I have a rockford fosgate punch 1000k for my bass amp and the distortion detection on that amp is top notch and very accurate. Unfortunately this just wasn't the experience i was expecting 'stepping up' to a better headunit from JVC. It'll definitely be the last one i get from them, going to move to a more stable processing headunit in the near future.

I purchased this unit to replace my existing head unit in my 2018 4-Runner. It was pretty easy to install...especially with the shallow depth of the unit. Plenty of room for the numerous wires to fit behind. The unit worked pretty well for a while...but I did notice the responsiveness lacked a bit sometimes. Sounded perfectly fine...until one day it decided to stop working. The screen went blank and it wouldn't respond anymore to anything. So I am not sure exactly what happened. After numerous attempts to get it working...I finally gave up and returned the unit. One main reason I purchased this unit to begin with was the features, price, and high number of great reviews it received. So I think I was just unlucky and got that rare bad apple. So you will likely not have the same problem if you give it it a try. Best Buy was very helpful in accepting the return...so they get a big thumbs up for the customer service. I ended up purchasing an Alpine iLX-507...and it is an upgrade over this unit. But I will say it was a bit more difficult to install having a deeper depth of the unit. But I am very satisfied with the Alpine.
