This is regarding the JVC Marshmallow True Wireless Earbuds. These are pretty comfortable, once you get it settled and snug in your ears. It comes with additional memory foam earpieces that fit differently. Once I found the right fit, it felt comfortable and didn’t bother my ears like others have in the past. It paired quickly and easily to my phone, iPad and laptop.
The 28-hour of battery life is what sold me on these and it didnt disappoint. Mine has lasted just about 28 hours without needing charge again. This was with me watching Netflix movie, Youtube videos, listening to music, and talking on the phone. I actually timed it because this was important to me. I wanted good quality earbuds, that was clear, charged lasted over 24 hours, felt comfortable in my ears and with easy to use controls on the earpieces themselves.
One thing I really liked and wasn’t looking for was the low latency mode that can toggle on/off as needed. I read about it in the manual and thought, what a great idea. In the past, I’ve used earbuds that had a slight delay while watching a show, so this is a nice plus. Another plus is that I can control everything using the earbuds while on my ears. From play, pause, changing tracks and volume, it can all be done quickly. And I can use it on both ears or one at a time and it works just as well. When I’m out running or jogging, I prefer to only use one earbud, this way, I don’t miss anything going on around me and makes me feel safer.

A Good Set of Buds

The JVC Marshmallow+ is a pretty good bluetooth bud set. The sound quality is surprisingly good for a set that isnt from one of the popular names like Apple, Samsung, or Bose. Connecting them yo your phone or device is easy. The sound adjustment settings are simple and easy to hear the difference. The touch controls are a bit more finnicky than I'd like especially when compared to other buds I've owned, but they work fine. Included in the box is a small USB-C charging cable, its only about 8" long, and mulitple size ear tips in soft foam and rubber. The charge time is 2.5hrs for 5hrs of playtime. The biggest selling point is the Low Latency which means youll be hearing the sounds of what your watching or playing as they happen with no delay. My biggest issue with the buds is that JVC hasn't released an app to control and adjust the sound settings of the buds, it isn't a big issue but I was hoping for it so that I dont have to guess on my settings. Overall I think the JVC Marshmallow+ are good set of buds for anyone wanting a straight forward set of bluetooth buds for music or calls or mobile gaming.

TL;DR - These are decent cheap earbuds for everyday use as long as you're not a bass head. The low-latency part is okay for watching videos but not good for gaming, at least on iPhone and Windows 11. Easy to use, good battery life, and all-day comfortable. No JVC app support for changing EQ modes easily. Thankfully, they use USB-C for the case charge port.
The package comes apart like you'd expect and you'll find the ear buds in their case, a short USB-C cable, a packet of ear bud tips, and instruction/warranty inserts. Make sure you pull the little adhesive tabs off the earbuds themselves and charge them before your first use for at least 15 minutes, as they're not charged out of the box.
Pairing is simple - pull the earbuds out of their charge case and connect your phone or laptop. Keep in mind these are not multi-point audio devices and, as such, will only work with one device at a time.
Usage is also simple. You can use the touch sensors on the ear buds to play and stop music, answer calls, skip tracks, and change the EQ and latency settings. The EQ is adjusted by touching the left ear bud for a second or so and will change between "Normal", "Bass", and "Clear" modes. Low latency mode is enabled and disabled by tapping the right ear bud 4 times in rapid succession. Siri and Google Assistant can be accessed by tapping the left ear bud 4 times in rapid succession.
Audio quality is overall decent. The headphones support AAC audio over Bluetooth so Apple Music sounds good, as do videos from Netflix and YouTube being played back from both my iPhone and my Windows 11 laptop. There's no AptX or LDAC support here, so audio quality on Android may vary. As far as response goes, these ear buds are good for mids and some highs but lack low-end punch. You can tell the bass is there, but it doesn't feel as rich as in some other ear buds in this price range. It does have clarity with vocals and many instrumentals, which makes up for this.
My only real problem with these is they're not app-controllable. Plenty of other ear buds and headphones that don't cost nearly as much have apps to adjust their settings. Had these been app-controllable, I would have given them a 5-star score.
All in all, these are a good value if you can catch them on sale. They're all-day comfortable, easy to use, with terrific battery life between the buds and case. If you can live without app control and you're not wanting a ton of bass, these might be your new go-to ear buds.

Great Sounding True Wireless Earbuds

The JVC Marshmallow True wireless earbuds (model HA-A18T) are a great sounding set of earbuds. They have a wide range of capabilities and sound well across the spectrum of music – from highs to lows and the midranges these earbuds sound excellent.
Let’s start off with the features of this set of earbuds. First, these are Bluetooth 5.3 earbuds and are of course powered by built-in Lithium-ion batteries rated for up to 28 hours of battery life. This battery life rating includes the carrying case battery (20.5 hours) being used to recharge the pods with are rated at 7.5 hours. They feature low latency – to aid in playing videos and gaming, have touch controls on both pods, a detection sensor to control the pausing and playing of audio, voice assistant, 3 sound modes (Normal, Clear, and Bass) to adjust the sound to your liking, dual microphones to aid in their performance for making phone calls. They are also Sweat and Rainproof with an IPX4 rating. They also allow for single ear use in either ear.
The touch controls are all the controls you would expect for powering the earbuds on/off, answering/ending/ignoring calls, music play/pause, and skipping tracks, and one to enable low latency mode. They also feature auto On/Off and connect capabilities.
The earbuds come with 5 sets of tips – 2 memory foam (S and M) and 3 Silicone (S, M, and L) so that the fit can be customized. The package also has a charging cable for the case – which is USB-C based.
Overall, in my testing these earbuds performed well and sounded great for both calls and audio and would be a good addition for anyone who likes to use earbuds for their audio needs. The only minor item noted for these while testing them was when walking into the wind while testing them on a call, my wife was able to hear some wind noise that was noticeable but did not overpower my voice – when walking down wind this was not noticeable.

My new favorite earbud

Love the simplicity of these JVC earbuds. They are called Marshmallow and I think that's because the part that goes in your ear is very soft and malleable (pliable, flexible). They sort of melt into your ears and you don't even feel them after a few minutes. The first thing I did was check the instructions and look for whatever the app I needed to install. I was pleasantly surprised to find, there is no app! So fabulous. I'm so tired of everything needing an app. I want to charge the item, turn it on and have it work. You don't even turn these on, they automatically turn on when you take them out of their case. Fabulous. The simplicity of these JVC Marshmallow earbuds is just beautiful. You charge them, take them out of the case and put them in your ears. That's it. Connect to your phone (or other device) via Bluetooth. I did an unscientific test and they were active for a little over twenty hours before telling me they needed to be charged. That's right, they tell you when they need to be charged. There is a little yellow tape over the battery/charging point on each earbud (very small you might miss it) so be sure to take that off before charging them. Sound is great. I have many headphones, all different styles and I think these are my new favorite.

I got these as my last headphones got damaged and I needed something quick.
The comfort is amazing as they come with foam tips by default. They also have a bag of different one of they default aren't the right size. That makes it so they are really secure in my ears.
They don't have a lot of fancy features but they make up for it with sound. They sound incredible and might even be better then the ones they replaced. I compared the sound to some high end wired headphones and they were almost just as good.
They connect quickly and reliably. The pairing with my phone was super quick.
You can use just one of you need to keep the other ear open.
They also charge really fast and last for a long time. I used them a couple hours a day and they didn't need to be charged at the end of the week like others I have had.
Phone calls were very clear and they could hear me clearly without having to yell.
Overall I would rather these as a good purchase of you need something solid and don't care if there isn't a companion app to adjust eq

Well I go through alot of headphones/earbuds etc. I love listening to audio books and use them both at work (firefighting) while not busy and obviously at home. These JVC are unique in the neat color at least I like it a lot lol. They fit very well in my ear without me needing to press on them or adjust them when I work out. Sound is good and battery is also better than you would accept. So many pricier options but these do everything you would want and don’t have any annoying issues (I can’t mention a competitors earphones that were terrible and pricier too).
Would I recommend them? Sure. If you are looking at good sound that is solid and reliable connection a decent app and connectivity with your Bluetooth devices like watch or phone then this should be part of your arsenal. I keep them at work and this way when I forget my other ones I dont get in a jam.
The only thing that I noticed is construction wise they are good but not a complete piece of that makes sense so overtime that might create issues. But at that price who cares lol.

They manage to stay in my ears while eating

Honestly, these are a really weird little pair of earbuds. They're not necessarily bad, but they're very weird.
The selling point, if I understand correctly, is that the little squishy parts that go in your ears are made of this memory foam stuff instead of rubber. You can jam them into your ears and make a better seal so they fall out of your head less. Honestly? It works great. I have never before managed to eat an entire meal without my earbuds falling out. These ones pulled it off. They're not uncomfortable either - despite the fact that to get them to stick I do need to jam them in with more force than other earbuds, they actually stay in without hurting my ears.
However, there are a few downsides. One of the most notable is that if you need to adjust them, it's really easy to hit the buttons on them. I have paused my music way too many times by just trying to get them to fit better. It's actually harder to *not* hit the buttons than on a lot of other earbuds I've used. The good thing is, it doesn't seem to be a pressure thing, so lying on my side in bed won't trigger it. Another notable issue is that the squishy parts need extra cleaning - earwax seems to cling to these a bit more than normal ones. However, I'd consider that a fair trade for how resistant they seem to be to falling out.
These do seem to be budget earbuds, but the sound quality is pretty decent regardless. They do not suffer from the "oops, all mids" problem. I also do like the packaging - it was easy to open and all of it was paper, and I do appreciate non-plastic packaging.
I wasn't really sure I'd like these, but after a bit of use they've kind of grown on me. If you're not looking for high-end earbuds, and want something simple that just seems to work well, I'd probably recommend these. They're not bad at all.

Overall I was fairly impressed with the quality of the JVC Marshmallow earbuds, the build quality is decent and the sound is fairly decent for a budget pair of earbuds. Obviously there is room for improvement in all areas for these earbuds but I would say that at this price range they aren't bad at all.
As others have said the instructions included are next to worthless, but it is still simple enough to figure out how to use and pair these with your bluetooth device since there's not much to the earbuds themselves. Once I paired the earbuds to my phone I began my normal routine of listening to YouTube videos throughout the day with one earbud in at a time. I do this since it allows me to extend the length of time that I can use my earbuds as one is charging while the other is getting used and I can still keep an ear out on what's going on around me. These earbuds did a good enough job of this averaging around 5 hours of use on a single charge and charging up pretty quickly so that the other earbud was more than ready to go by the time I needed it again.
Overall these aren't a bad pair of earbuds and if you're looking for something on a budget that is simple to use and does what is advertised then these are a good pair of earbuds to look at.

GOOD
- Affordable price
- Low latency
- Charging case
BAD
- Clumsy controls
- Poor audio quality
- No noise canceling
- Short connective range
DETAILS
The A18T buds are a step down from the A30T earbuds. Going by the box, it would appear the only difference is the lack of active noise canceling on the A18Ts. Both have a low-latency mode that does a good job eliminating the audio lag full wireless earbuds are known for. Unfortunately this low-latency mode has to be specially activated, it's not on by default, and it's easy to miss that note in the printed instructions. Both also come with a carrying case that doubles as a mobile charge bank. And both suffer from a shorter than average range where they'll stay connected to the audio source ( while other Bluetooth headphones have no problem staying connected over 30 feet away, the A18T has trouble past 15 feet, or even just leaving the room ).
But the A18Ts also have much worse audio quality. At lower volume levels, the A18T has noticeable static and buzzing. Maybe something about the ANC on the A30T set helped keep the audio cleaner.
The controls on the A18T also leave a lot to be desired. To be fair, the touch interface on the A30T wasn't all that great either as it didn't have next/previous track control. The A18T does, but it uses a combination of single, double, triple, and quadruple taps that are quite sensitive in the timing. Multiple taps done too quickly won't register, and doing them too slow will register as a different command. With practice you can learn the timing better, but it's pretty frustrating for the most part.
For around $50, I'd say they're par for the course. Audio quality and controls aren't great, but you do get full wireless earbuds and a travel charging case, and the low-latency mode does work as advertised. I'd say 2.5/5 stars if that was allowed, so I'll round up to three. But the A30T buds are well worth the extra money over these.

Still working after one year, Excellent maintenance issues long life batteries and cost effective, it's a steal.
Who could say no to ear buds that give you reasonable music, voice, television broadcasts, computer access all working fine for 1/10 the cost of the high end earbuds
If function and quality are needed this is a good earbud set, If you are truly a music buff or love noise cancelation or like the fact that a deaf mother can hear you in a crowded room from 40 miles away I would not guarantee these earbuds would give you that but they sure work at a very reasonable price
JVC is now on my radar for quick fixes an exceptional product a noteworthy place to be.

Good clear communication when talking on the phone. I haven't been able to find out if they can place a call via voice command instead of just being able to answer, the music quality is very good as well with a built in EQ that you can custom set to your liking. Thus far, I'd have to honestly say that these are the best earbuds I've been able to find at a decent, reasonable pricing. I'd honestly say that I feel that it was money well spent and the product delivers. I would buy another pair again if needed. or their newer model.

Great earbuds with a different type of tip

These are a great quality pair of basic earbuds.
They were easy to find and connect to my phone and didn’t give me any problems. I did read the description to charge the first, but when I pulled off the plastic protection stickers of the buds and tried to charge it, the lights said they were already charged.
The one thing I do have a concern with is the ear pieces. They feel like they are some type of foam material rather than the silicone you get in a lot of other earbuds. This is a both a pro and a con for me.
I personally think that they feel a bit more comfortable and I can wear them longer before they feel like they irritate me. I don’t think they do a better or worse job of sealing out the noise, but it may be a bit better. However, the biggest con is they feel very fragile. Even the instructions say to be careful about how you pull them off to change them. So I am a bit concerned about the longevity there. If you are the only one that would touch your earbuds its probably fine, but for me I have kids who get into my stuff all the time and I’m worried if they were to mess with them and pull of the ear piece they may break it and ruin them, then I’d be out a set of earbuds until I could order a replacement online.
So I wouldn’t take a star off for that because it may be the ideal option for someone else and I actually like the feel of them, but I probably wouldn’t recommend them to all of my family and friends since most of them would have the same risk I would have of them getting broken.

Horrible Latency
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I bought these wireless buds because I wanted an inexpensive pair to use specifically with my Nintendo Switch. The audio quality is fine - nothing worth praising - but the audio latency is absolutely abysmal. The sound lags behind what is displayed on-screen by almost a full second, making these buds completely useless for gaming.
My previous pair was a pair of $25 Jlab buds, and the latency on those is *perfect*. A Pair of buds that costs twice as much, should not have twice the lag.
The fact that these are categorized as "Low Latency" is borderline false advertising. I will be avoiding all JVC products since I cannot trust them to provide what they claim.
