These earphones were impressive right out of the box—well-packaged and well designed. The build quality feels solid, yet they remain lightweight enough for daily use. One of my favorite things is the wired USB-C connection: no more checking battery levels or fiddling with Bluetooth pairing. Just plug in and go. I find this one of the best features, especially for work calls or travel when reliability matters. The swivel ear design is also a great feature that makes them super portable and easy to set down without worrying about damaging them. They are extremely comfortable—lightweight yet feel sturdy—and I can wear them for extended periods without any discomfort or fatigue. I also appreciate the intuitive controls—they’re easy to operate by touch, so I don’t need to stop and look every time I want to adjust something. The sound quality is excellent: clear, full, and well-balanced with surprisingly rich audio for the price. Overall, these earphones pack a lot of quality and convenience into a sleek design. I highly recommend.

Not a great product, I knew they would be small, but even hurts my kids ears while using them for more than 30 minutes. Especially for 30 bucks, should be better product.

The JVC HAS 33UCB headphones are connected via USB C. This headset is pretty no frills, no noise cancelling, no spatial audio, no need to charge, no app... Just great plug and play sound. These are the first wired headphones I have had to use with my phone since phones eliminated the mini-plug audio connection. I'm not sure why most of the headphones I have used with my phones over the last several years have had the same shortcoming, they just don't get loud enough at times. These headphones get LOUD! It's not that I want to listen at full volume that often, but sometimes I just feel the need to crank up the music (or a faint phone call). This headset has a wired remote that can control the normal music functions, phone functions and a voice assistant. I have been able to hear and be heard clearly in phone conversations. The headset earpieces rotate so that they can be packed flat. The 29.7 mm drivers deliver the best low end sound I have listened to through earbuds or headphones in years. The mids and high ends are fine as well. The earpiece padding does a fine job of blocking outside noises eliminating the need for noise canceling programs and complicated apps.

The inline 'remote' is easy to use and worked fine with my phone although it did take a few tries to get used to pushing the right button. The microphone is clear and has full enough sound that you won't sound tinny or high pitched. The audio volume in the earpieces is very good and the mute works great on the microphone. If you are used to ambient noise cancelling headsets, these are not going to keep out stray sound, but the fit and audio quality is superb and I was able to use them just fine in noisy environments. The headset is very lightweight, but sturdy and easy to pack. Also, the headband adjustment is very well done - it's easy to swap from large head to small and back again and holds the setting you choose. Apart from using with my phone, the USB-C connector makes it also quite good for tablet and laptop use. The cord is a bit short for laptop, in my opinion, but using a short 6-12 inch extension solved that issue with no apparent loss of quality that I could detect. All and all, this is a very 'nice-for-the price' set of headphones that have the functionality I need for my phone as well as general use. I would recommend these to my friends.

The JVC HA-S33UC USB-C wired headphones might not seem like much until you notice that the 1/8-inch headphone jack is disappearing from more and more devices, while USB-C is prevalent. I have been able to plug these headphones into my Windows PC, Chromebook, and Samsung Cell Phone and have them instantly working. Unlike wireless Bluetooth, I do not need to pair them or worry about battery charge and listening time. These headphones are comfortable and have an inline microphone that can be muted and an inline volume control. I can easily wear them all day long as I work and do chores around the house and forget that I am wearing them. The sound quality is outstanding, and the speakers are good-sized. I would recommend them as a primary or backup pair of headphones. The speakers pivot 90 degrees so that they can be stored flat, conserving room. You can even do hands-free calling; a button alongside the volume control allows you to answer and disconnect a call with a touch of a button. The cord is long enough to have my cellphone in my pocket easily.

The JVC USB-C wired on-ear headset is very wallet-friendly. Sound quality is good and what I suppose should be expected from a headset in its price range. Mids and highs are prominent – ideal for working with voice files, exactly the use for which I got this headset. Not having to deal with Bluetooth’s quirks and sometimes finicky connections is a big plus, and no more low battery warnings. For music, the JVC USB-C wired on-ear headset is just adequate. Yes, it reproduces music, but it really lacks any significant bass, and separation is nonexistent. If your primary concern is good sounding music in a corded headset, look elsewhere. There is an inline microphone. Its housing also contains volume up/down buttons and a third button that there's no function that I can identify while working in Windows 11. I can verify that the microphone works terrific for dictation in Windows 11; I'm currently dictating this review, and it is working flawlessly. There's also a dedicated mute switch. I like the fact that it's a hardware mute and does not rely on software. I plugged the USB-C into my S25 Ultra, and the phone recognized it immediately. Sound reproduction is the same as it is from a Windows PC; I will not be using it for music. But this JVC USB-C wired headset is actually great in phone calls. Voices come through loud and clear. I made some test calls to family and friends, and it was confirmed that I sound good and “very clear.” While operating the mute switch, I was told it created a lot of racket on the other side of the call. Some experimentation with handling the inline mic housing resolved the noise complaints. I do have a few criticisms. I’m a big guy and I wish that the headband didn’t squeeze quite so tight; it can get uncomfortable with extended use. I offered the headset to my wife to try, and she thought it was very comfortable, and the size was just right. The on-ear cups are nicely padded and comfortable, but they do trap heat. Coming into summer, I can see that it might be an issue. The documentation says the cord is 3.94 ft. On my desktop, that is only just long enough, and there is no slack. It does restrict movement – even turning my head – while wearing the headset. My solution is a 3-ft. USB-C male-to-USB-C female extension cord I had in a drawer. It’s all good now. Just consider the distance to where you will be plugging it in and you’ll be fine. In the right use scenario, this is a capable, affordable headset that I would recommend.

I really like these headphones for their versatility. More and more devices don't have traditional audio or even audio/headset jacks these days, and sometimes you just need headpones in a pinch for studying, for the kids, etc. These will work on just about anything pushing out audio that has a USB C port. These are On-Ear for even the smallest adult and most any child ears, but they are very light and don't sit overly tight on your ears, and I had no discomfort after wearing them on my large protruding ears for two hours while doing chores. One slight drawback would be that they don't fit tight enough for mobile use beyond walking, but i wouldn't consider using ANY On-Ear headset during Athletics. The sound is crisp and clear as is the microphone for your voice for others on calls. The Mic is inline at the control bump on the cord, which is something to keep in mind. The on/off switch on the bump works well and easy to flick states, as are the volume up / down buttons. The sound gets loud enough, but not super loud. As you might imagine there is little Bass to be had here. I tried them with a Smartphone, a Tablet, a Chromebook, a true Laptop, and a Desktop computer of various ages and it worked flawlessly on all of them with no setup needed. Great headpones/headset for when you just need something to WORK QUICKLY with no setup or pairing needed, like when the audio port on your work laptop stops working right before a Teams call and you don't have time to reboot the darn thing to try to sort it. Options are good.

I travel a lot, and the thing I fear the most is dead batteries in my ear buds. I have all sorts of charger options and carefully planned orders of operations to avoid this catastrophe, but sometimes circumstances simply do not allow for it. So it's great to have a simple, reliable option that doesn't take up a lot of room or weight in my bag, and these JVC corded headphones fit the bill. I use them to take calls and let my ear buds charge, and they're nice for situations where you need to visibly signal that you're on the phone (coffee shop interruptions are the worst). The sound quality is just fine. I wouldn't cozy up and listen to my favorite vinyl record by the fireplace or anything, but neither did I struggle to hear folks on Zoom calls. Likewise, the microphone does the job. My colleagues said that it wasn't as balanced at my normal ear buds, but they had no problem hearing or understanding me. The cans themselves are a little small for my ears, and because there's no electronic noise cancellation, that suboptimal fit means these aren't great for really noisy spaces. I got by in a coffee shop and in the airport terminal, but they didn't do well on my train ride. Don't expect high-fidelity audio or overwhelming style - but you can rely on these to do what they say on the label.

    Basic, Simple, Comfy

Sometimes simple is good. Sometimes basic is enough. These JVC USB-C 'remote+microphone' stereo headphones are just that. Simple to use, having basic features. These headphones are plug n' play. I can plug them into my iPhone, Android phone, tablet, laptop, and even my Nintendo Switch. While the earcups are small (compared to my gaming headset), they are still comfortable enough, particularly for shorter periods; though I'd not want to wear them for hours upon hours. The earcups do swivel so the headphone can lay flat, either on a desktop or after taking them off to rest upon your shoulders. The headband isn't cushioned at all, but the earcups are. Instead of the easy-to-access controls on the earcups themselves, like many corded headsets I've owned, the basic controls (on/off, volume up/down, mute) are on the cord within easy reach. The sound coming from these headphones was adequate. Don't expect anything beyond basic audio quality. On calls I could hear just fine, and from what I was told, my voice came through clear enough. Overall impression - these JVC headphones are inexpensive and do what they were designed for. I could see them being useful for people who may not like or be able to use 'in-the-ear' type earbuds, yet still want or need to use a headset.

The "price point" is the key

I needed a simple wired headset I could throw in my backpack that could connect to any of multiple devices and not be dependent on a battery. These aren't fancy but sometimes simple is just what you need, and for me they fit the bill perfectly. The key to this headset is "price point" -- and at this price point the sound was pleasantly balanced and the features and performance were more than up to par. It delivers a better-than-expected audio experience in a very portable package. To help with portability the earcups twist sideways to make a thinner profile. The controls are basic but functional -- volume up, down, play, and mute controls. The added mic make these very useful for work meetings or game time voice chat. Being on-ear, the ear cups took a little getting used to compared to over-ear or buds which I've previously used more often. Took them on a 6 hour flight just a couple days ago and had these on almost the whole time and they were comfortable enough to help me dampen the sounds around me, sound good watching some movies or listening to music passing the time, but let enough ambient sound in that I didn't feel isolated.

Sound is Good Quality For Budget Wired Phones

These JVC on-ear headphones are very lightweight. Not that they seem cheap, the plastic seems strong and adequate. They sit fairly comfortably on the ear, and if you have big ears (I do) they have to be positioned just right or other people may hear what you are listening to. The sound quality and bass are pretty impressive for something in this price range. Distortion is a minimum and I hear rich, wide distribution of sound at various levels of frequency. Highs and mid-range are crystal clear and the bass is decently deep. There is a controller in the line to adjust volume, turn the mike on or off, advance the track on your device. The drawback is the controller is positioned too close to your head so you are unable to see it clearly so close to your face. And the cord could be longer, a frequent complaint of mine. No biggie if you are listening to your phone but when connected to a tablet you're tied a little closely to it. I do not use these type for phone calls but the mike quality when tested with the Voice Recorder app was average in my opinion. This seems like a decent quality set of headphones. Wired so no bluetooth or wifi required!

The premise of these headphones is simple; just connect to a USB-C ready device and listen. The build quality is OK. They feel flimsy and somewhat fragile, but the good news is that this makes the headset very light -just over 4 oz (122g). The cans have nice flexibility and wide swivel angles. Unfortunately, they do not fold, making them a bit awkward to carry. However, they do fold flat so that’s good when wearing them on the neck. The plastic-covered metal headband is quite flexible but has no padding whatsoever. The earpads, on the other hand, have very soft, albeit small memory foam padding. The clamping force is good enough to keep the headset in place without adding more pressure on the ears. Now, these headphones are on-ear, which means that they will rest on the ear -not cover it. So, I appreciate the soft earpads as they rest gently on top without causing too much pressure or friction. Sadly, the hard headband does cause discomfort on the top of my head within a few minutes, and I have to shift it around very often. The sound quality is where this headset shines. The bass is precise, impactful, and carries that “subwoofer” thumping effectively. The mids come through without being muddy, making vocals and rhythm instruments carry the tune. The treble is a bit on the lower side, making the sound a bit dark, but still clear. Overall, the audio is warm and does well with almost any mainstream genre or content (without being too critical). Also, the headset responds very well to EQ changes. The call quality is decent. The mic picks up well enough without bringing it close to the mouth. It does pick up some ambient noise, especially wind, but is not too bad. The controls are simple, intuitive, and responsive. My overall feeling is that these headphones are a great option for kids and the occasional need when wireless headsets aren’t around, or when the device is USB-C only as most phones and tablet nowadays. For the price, I think this headset offers great value.

Great for kids or online meetings

The JVC HAS33UCB is a new offering that uses a USB-C connection instead of the normal 3.5" jack that normally comes with headphones. With the amount of phones ditching the 3.5" jack this makes sense. These aren't robust heavy headphones that cover your whole ear up, they're more light small headphones that rest on your ears. They do not squeeze your ears and head super hard so I feel like this is good for kids or for online meetings. If you've got a bigger head, these may or may not be for you as the ear cups are on the smaller size. I've been using them in teams meetings and everyone says that the mic sounds good as does the sound coming in thru the earpads. After buying my kids the newest version of the most basic ipad I realized that the 3.5" jack is gone on those too. Gone are the days of giving them cheap headphones on long rides so the wife and I can relax, until now. These will work with the new ipad usb-c jack and we'll be back to silence again. All in all I think these are ideal for someone not expecting to get world renowned sound and noise cancelling. You won't get that from these as the price point indicates. But if you're looking for a good option for newer apple devices and for online meetings, these will do the trick.
