Apparently you have options with different screws to put into the back of your tv. This is not stated in the directions. In addition the phone number on the directions and the internet for contact info is disconnected. Calling best buy for help didnt work either. So my suggestion have extra washers at home in different sizes. It looks great and took an hour to put up. Hope that helps.

Sorry for the troubles you ran into. We provide a variety of screws since our mounts have to work with a number of TV's, but we could be more clear in our manual that most of hardware will not be used.
