The frame was too narrow

I was mounting a 40 " on the wall in a room where kids would play. I Needed a peice of mind, that it would never fall off the wall. I paid a bit more and went with the rocketfish. I loved it, and works great.Easy to install.

The specifications and dimensions for this mount are listed on Best Buy's product page. The KT3260 can hold 80 lbs which should be sufficient to hold most 40" TV's. We rate our mounts conservatively since safety is one of our top priorities. As long as our installation instructions were adhered to the KT3260 should have worked well for the situation you described.
