Completely unsatisfied as a buying experience when it coes to how they look and how they were given to me. Completely satisfied with how they sound. When bought as open box, these speakers were classified as being in excellent condition. This is far from the truth. Superficially, these speakers are in rough shape - pictures for reference. Both sets have numerous impact wounds to the upper 6.5 inch drivers. One set has a chunk of the cabinet knicked off of it. And, moreover - upon packing one of the speakers, the employees slid it in at such an angle that it completely shattered one of the 4 speaker terminals in the back of it. I had to take off the back plate and splice my speaker wire directly to the inside of the speaker in order to get it bi-amped. Anyway....... As far as the speakers are concerned - they sound great. All of the damage is superficial - but to be honest, I don't know if I would have purchased them if they were listed correctly, and not as being in excellent condition -- especially if I paid for excellent condition speakers. The midrange is excellent, the treble is top notch at this price point. I have been messing with my set up in an attempt to figure out why they don't seem to have a lot of low end authority. I believe that to be something to do with my settings. I am satisfied with how they sound. But, to be fair, I bought these not just as speakers, but as show pieces for my listening room. They were supposed to be beautiful. But, now I seem to have to call KEF in order to purchase the grill covers to hide all of these imperfections. I am very disappointed, over all.

I bought these at my local Best buy in Mount Laurel New Jersey from Kevin Raduzycki who usually works in home theater applications but was working in The sound room the day I went to listen to the r11s I had been in there prior but Kevin let me switch between different speakers with my own music and took the time with me. it was between these and the B&W 702 s2s. I thought the kef r11s gave me a larger in the room experience. Remember these speakers take a good 300 hours to break in. the mid range is on kefs (and I have had other ones) take a lot of time to break in otherwise the mid-range seems to appear like it doesn't fit in the speaker and it is straining. I also wanted a full range speaker something I would not need a subwoofer with I like a speaker that can do it all and this speaker clicks all the boxes. After it is broken in you do not need to play it loud to enjoy it just spend the night in the dark with your eyes closed on the couch and these speakers will take you away to another place.. one thing I had noticed with these speakers that the BMWs did not do is give you a rear soundstage besides enveloping you with with it, it also gave you a lot of depth my speakers set in the center of the room they're not against the walls and believe me listening to jazz I can hear a piano player all the way in the back on the left hand side while a stand-up base is on the right and closer to me. These speakers do it all and I was considering focal k936 k2 because I really had a thing for them but I got used to this smoother tweeter in the R11s. I can only find one audition on the focal on YouTube and it wasn't very favorable you can listen to these r11s on sound Somalia on YouTube.. you need a good 200 w of power if you want to push these I'm using an older Denon receiver which is capable of over 200 Watts but you don't need that to enjoy these speakers. When you turn these speakers up they do not just get loud they get bigger they envelope the whole room. That's what a good speaker does it encompasses you it doesn't sound flat. for the money I believe these cannot be beat if you give them time to break in and don't wonder what all the fuss is about the first 3 months you will be content for years to come

Full sound including bass. These are the best speaker ive heard and now own.If on the fence go in and have a listen.

The KEF R-Series packages are worth every penny. The quality for music lovers exceeds expectations. I have also added the 10" subwoofer and center so far. Top notch! Highly recommend! Also comes in multiple finishes!

Looks- This is hands down most beautiful speakers ever. Slim but the presence in a room is noticable and heavy too. There is a reason for being heavy because KEF put good stuff in there. Sound- Great as stereo and so perfect that "you feel" there is a center channel, like you are in a concert. Some songs just blow your mind listening through it, like picking up details and gives you a headphone effect, for eg: Sicko mode by Travis & Drake. I listen to all genres except Hard rock and Country, so no comments on those, everything else it's amazing! Loudness: I think you only need small amps to drive it because it's sensitive. I'm driving with a Denon av receiver, 105 watts per channel in stereo. If you calibrate through audessey and level up at 75db, you only have to go beyond 50% if you are having a party. I have never gone beyond 65% in fact because my house shakes with these stereo speakers. Great bass! Price: First I though it's expensive with the specs in the sheet. But I was mistaken by it's real world performance. You cannot get such performing speakers for this price PERIOD

The moment I got these home and set them up, these speakers were everything all the reviews raved about. I purchased these as an open box, and the salespeople at my local store did a great job of wrapping them in bubble wrap for the ride home. I needed two people to get them into the house for set up. I have them by-wired and run through a BK EX-442 amp @ 200 watts a channel. I couldn’t be happier.

These speakers are absolutely fantastic and at the current price an absolute steal. I use them for stereo music listening and have been using them for movies as well. The bass is great, really no need for a sub. The clarity and imaging are fantastic, there’s clear separation of instruments and watching movies is very immersive, even with just two speakers. I doubt I could do much better than these at this price point. Beyond this price point you’ll have diminishing returns as well so overall a great purchase. I’m very satisfied.

Every bit worth the hype. Listened to these along side the metas, couldn’t tell the difference and this isn’t my first theatre set up. These are a bit overkill for L&R but at the price I paid for these at BB, why not. These sound amazing, realistic voice from the tweeters (as I’ve read). Paired nicely with my dual subs. Get the best, never look back.

The Uni-Q drivers are in all of the R series. What makes these a flagship product from Kef, is the four woofers in each tower. They deliver clean and articulate bass, that rival any subwoofer smaller than a 16". Paired mine with a SVS PB-16 ultra (in extended mode) and it's all there. Just be ready to find out how much stuff rattles everywhere else in the house

Incredible sound. I was told while shopping that the sound is so clear you'll hear things you never have before. My father came by after install and said the exact same thing when he heard them for the first time. As a bonus, they are gorgeous to look at.

Phenomenon speakers. I've been into KEFs for years now playing R5s and R3s. The difference to the overall sound by adding the R11 is beyond amazing.!!

Purchased these speakers as an upgrade to my two channel audio system. Definitely a quality product. The sound is absolutely fantastic. If you are ready to spend some serious cash for quality speakers you should check these out.

I have two of these in my theater room, these by far are the most amazing towers I have ever heard. For music and for movies. They are very crisp and clean.
