I had high hopes for these speakers but I’m disappointed in the sound quality. They can’t handle much bass at all and even with multiple attempts to adjust the equalizer I can’t get a satisfactory sound from them. Taking them back.

Used these to upgrade my stereo in a 2018 Toyota RAV4. These speakers have 0 bass and okay sound quality. Go with JBL, I’m returning these.

Added these to compliment the Kenwood component speakers (KFC-P71) for our 2010 Wranger JK Unlimited. Added these to the soundbar above our heads. The one thing about Jeeps is they can get pretty noisy when driving, especially on the highway so when the outside volume goes up, so does the volume on the radio. The factory paper cones these replaced would start getting muddy when it hit over a certain volume basically replacing quantity over quality. With the Kenwood 6.5" 3-way sets, you get both. The mid- and low-ends don't have the same falloff as the factory systems and the independent tweeter keeps the high's crisp. The Jeep's soundbar has a proprietary mount which required some modification of the factory speakers to mount the new set. These speakers came with enough hardware that made this a relatively easy switch. These are highly recommended!

I listened to these at the store and was impressed with their range and clarity of sound, as well as good power ratings. Installed in rear of 2008 Toyota Highlander (non-JBL option) along with the matching Kenwood 6x9, 5 way fronts of the same series. For the reviews that mention lack of bass, I could not disagree more. The mids are a bit prominent with the paper mid, but with proper EQ adjustment to bring those mid ranges down a bit, the overall sound is FANTASTIC from lows through highs. The bass is clean and punchy. Combined with the front 6x9 Kenwoods the bass resonates strong. If you turn up the bass end of EQ, the speakers can put out even more clean bass without distorting. Side note, I previously installed a JBL set which had slightly better bass than these, but they distorted, cracked, and popped at medium-high volumes. To my ear, these Kenwoods sound much better with some EQ adjustment, and they do not distort at all. Crystal clear.

I highly recommend these speakers. Got them on sale and stunned how good they sounded in my truck even though I was not using a external amplifier.
