The Kenwood DMX4707S is a fantastic upgrade for anyone looking to modernize their car's stereo system. The 6.75-inch touchscreen is easy to use and provides clear, responsive controls. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration is seamless, allowing you to access your phone's apps, navigation, and music right on the screen. Bluetooth connectivity ensures hands-free calls, while the 50W peak power per channel gives a solid audio performance.
The receiver also supports SiriusXM, making it perfect for long trips. Installation was straightforward, and the compact design ensures a clean fit. Overall, a great choice for anyone wanting to enhance their in-car entertainment system.

This was my cheapest option to get Android Auto. Overall the stereo works and sounds great. I do wish it had a remote. My only real complaint is the volume controls. When you use them your hand actually blocks the graphics on the screan and you can't see the volume number you have it set at.

Great quality for the price, but a lack of a volume knob can be an issue for some, as volume buttons are very small. Apple CarPlay with a wired connection is a great plus.

Best head unit I've owned

I bought this unit for the Android Auto experience. This unit does not have a CD player, it is strictly a digital media player. Easy to install and very lightweight. The unit is about 1/2 the length of a normal double din unit which made wire management a breeze. Supports Bluetooth and Apple car play as well. Supports apps such as: YouTube Music, Spotify, Maps, Messages.
Pros:
Android Auto/Apple Car Play compatibility
Lightweight
Ease of use
Style
Quality
Voice control (Google assistant)
Value
Cons:
No CD player (not that I use CDs anyway, but for those who do)

I had a tape deck. I had a smart phone without an earphone jack. I have no tapes. ("Abba's greatest hits"- which was under the back seat for 17+ years didn't count) I had no access from my phone to tape deck. I could see highways on my phone, but not on the tape deck. My wife's car stereo does everything I wanted my car to do. Bluetooth envy is a hard thing in the 21st century. I chose this model because it could do what I wanted, but not come with a car payment. Back in the day, Kenwood, JVC, Alpine, etc., were at the top of the pile. Supply chain issues (I was told) meant the installer had to try 3 different units before finding one that would fire up. Anyway, it makes the dash of my Pontiac Montana look like there is something not quite right, but... Trying to compete with the new tech in new cars is hard, and this is a good attempt.

Love this unit. Had it installed in my F350. Sound quality is excellent. Love the Android Auto. User interface is well organized. Did not come with the user manual. Had to download it and had it printed out at Staples. Only reason this got 4 instead of 5 stars.

I’ve wanted to replace the outdated factory system in my 2013 Hyundai Elantra for quite some time. COVID delayed the purchase and installation for a year but now I finally have a new Kenwood media receiver installed by BestBuy. The installation went smoothly and I am very happy with the system. The Android Auto works great. Like other reviewers, my only minor quibble is with the volume control - a volume knob would be so much more convenient.

I love this system, the display is amazing and clear! It made my speakers sound better! One thing that is a little wrong is that sometimes if I plug my phone in while it’s turning on, it won’t turn on my carplay and I have to unplug and replug. Also if I have my stereo turned up loud for apple carplay it’s SUPER loud for the radio and kind of startling sometimes if I forget to turn it down. Those are minor issues and don’t bother me since the system is so great :)

Came with the free install (of course had to purchase some extra parts, but I read the reviews and expected it), but works for its intended purposes, looks good, sounds good and is easy to use.
Display is great, backup camera shows better than the factory display that was there before. Touch screen works great. All the apps necessary.

Overall a good radio. Interface is a little quirky, and a volume knob would be a plus. Reception is outstanding, backup video is clear and bright, hands free works very well. Sound quality is very good.

Love it it does so much I was surprised to see it had sirus xm ready cause I already had the adaptor for it and plugged in my subwoofers and amp and reverse camera and I was able to connect tweeters as well. Also worked with the steering wheel adapter I bought so still can use controls on the steering wheel. It Sounds great with my kenwood speakers and Kickers subs and amp

I'm still learning all of the options on this thing. So far, I'm impressed with the sound. It's definitely an upgrade from my factory stereo. I'm a bit disappointed that I can't use my old ipod nanos with it. I think they are just too old (2008 and 2009) for this newer radio.
The Best Buy install team was excellent. There was a problem due to a missing part on the kit I bought from another party. The installer explained everything in detail, including my options. His explanation helped me obtain a full refund for the defective part. Then they finished the install when a replacement kit arrived. Great job guys!

Pros:
ISO connection for power, speakers. You can probably buy an adapter cable to connect to your car rather than having to make one up. I already had one for my Dodge.
Camera input and preamp output connections are mounted to the case. No adapter cables are needed to connect for these.
The parking brake lockout is optional. You have full functionality without using it.
The chassis depth is shorter than most.
Android Auto works as expected. Works fine with the Motorola wireless adapter.
The supplied external microphone works fine, and the wire is long enough to easily reach to the visor.
Cons:
The reverse lamp lead is on a separate wire coming out of the back. In fact, in addition to the USB and satellite leads, there are three control wires coming out of the back. Why not put these on the three unused positions on the ISO plug?
The UI for the radio is hard to use. The presets do not show the frequency or the call sign, but rather show random text from the last RDS messages received while tuned to that station.
The legends for the touch control buttons on the left are not illuminated. You can't see them at night. The volume controls have arrows so you can tell what they are, but the others you have to remember.
