This Kenwood multimedia in-dash radio for my Silverado is outstanding cost a little bit of money well worth it all the review is including all the hardware I had to get extra to make it work and I've included pictures of what it they are below instead of writing separate review so together they all working Harmony and they make my JBL concert series speakers just sound incredibly crystal clear just like being in a concert the radio separates everything it's got all the controls to do everything it's all hands-free you can send it texts by just talking receive a text it'll tell you everything's hands-free it's it's just great navigation system is incredible twice the only girl back they only have one installer but he's done at 25 years it took me 33 days to get in but he had that thing in no Time professional I would have done my USB different if I'd have known he was little girl hole in the back of my compartment and just run the wire and drop it there I'd have had him just lay it out there to where I could cut a hole in the plastic and mount it in there and make it look professional but I understand times money but I would have I would have finished that part of myself and it's great having a backup camera too that I can see if a kid gets down behind me when I'm not looking beautiful radio colors outstanding nothing on the market just as clear as this it's even better than a CD. And if you ever sell the vehicle you can take it in he'll uninstall it put the stock stereo back in and put it in your new vehicle no charge or if you sell the vehicle with an in it you just hand them the receipt the paperwork and it's a transferable free removal and installation can't beat that I haven't found that anywhere else in years. And I went ahead and bought the four year protection plan so after the year warranty of the manufacturer than the four year kicks in that's 5 years of warranty for $49.99 can't beat that either good price

The radio works as advertised. There is quite a learning curve to find where everything is buried in the menu's.
Kenwood needs to put a knob on this radio. Push buttons are too hard to find quickly, I don't like taking my eyes off the road.
You have to keep the radio in standby mode for the backup camera to work and to have a clock displayed on the screen.
The wiring diagram for the Kenwood radio and Kenwood backup camera could be more explicit. Had to scratch my head a few times and watch some You tube videos.
The Garmin navigation works but several times it wanted me to turn into a grassy field. My 13 year old Magellan was more reliable.....
The Kenwood backup camera does help with hooking up a trailer.
I do like how the radio can be on and the navigation will show upcoming streets in the display.
All the features are buried deep within menu's making the radio complex to use but it works as advertised.

Installed in a 2001 Jeep TJ of course I had to modify the jeep a little to get it to fit and I was prepared with the correct bezel and mounting kit and wiring harness for the TJ. After a flawless dash modification and Kenwood DNX577S install I also installed the Kenwood Dash Cam. I did have a problem configuring the dash cam to the head unit and with the Best Buy floor Mgr in Meridian MS we were able to solve the programming in the parking lot.

Put this in my 07 Caliber R/T. I'm a car mechanic so installation was not a do it yourself friendly. It did fit and when I finally turned it it was everything and then some. Used the maestro adapter to add even more functionality to my new infotainment system. This is my 6th Kenwood touch screen unit in 12yrs. I keep coming back because the head units are reliable and user friendly. This one is the first for me with apple car play and android auto. Really nice features to have. As always love the tunability of my audio settings to suit my listening needs.

New tunes in an old Suburban

I found a 2001 Suburban 4x4 with only 120k miles on it and purchased it for my wife. It was not perfect, had a bad oil leak and some other minor issues, but I repaired them all. Then we needed to upgrade the receiver since it had a factory one, and decided on the Kenwood receiver that was on sale at Best Buy. One of the best things was that they would install it for free! This installation was a little complicated, therefore I am glad I did not do it! So far, we like all the features of this receiver. It is powerful, sounds great, and has built in GPS. The GPS is okay, but I actually prefer Google Maps after using both. The only thing I can't seem to find is a way to make the music go louder with the speed of the vehicle. With all of the options built into this thing, there should be a way to adjust that, even the old factory stereo did that. Anyway, a great addition to the old Suburban and if it goes on sale again, I think I will get one for our 2000 Silverado!

My wife and I like to have navigation in our vehicles for when we travel outside of cell areas. I like having a graphic EQ, so this was one of the few options where I could get both of those, and with the open box deal was the best value.
What I like: duel zoning is a great feature, having options on the media type (CD/DVD/SD/USB is great), graphic EQ makes fine tuning sound system easy
What I don't like: navigation UI, eject button placement for CDs and DVDs
Overall thoughts: it's very similar to the Pioneer AVIC5100nex, but I preferred my Pioneer due to the better UI on navigation

We've had the Kenwood in our Corvette about a month and took a trip to Texas recently. The navigation was great. Love our cd, usb, and Bluetooth connections to listen to our music. Super install. Love the backup camera too!

I am very pleased with this receiver. It has all the features I wanted, including GPS navigation and backup camera connection. In fact, there are so many features that I haven't yet learned all of them or how to use them.
I am pleased that I have the choice to connect my phone or not. I do not like using my phone for navigation. In fact, I do not like having my phone on while I drive, though sometimes it is handy. This unit gives me the option either way.
The sound quality is very good even through the cheap speakers I installed. I have bought another unit for my other vehicle, in which I will install better speakers.

This Din has a plethora of features. I upgraded from a single din Kenwood that I had purchased several years ago. I have it installed in a base model 2004 Honda Civic. Because of the trim level, there is not much that can tie into the din itself. However, the features are amazing. I can not use the climate control or dual zone audio features, but the Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and navigation features work perfectly for my needs. Any music enthusiist, traveler, or luxury enjoyer can not go wrong with this. This unit is worth the money for its quality sound and features.

I really enjoy the radio. It has all the camera put AV input and satellite radio that I need along with GPS separate than my phone and the updates being free for the first few years that’s really nice have a good product. The only thing I wish I had was a little more power, but I think an amp will change all that, not the radios fault. I liked it so much about three of them one for the cars trucks and RV. Only thing I wish it had on. It was features for truckers and RVs for low bridges and height restrictions. Look for the ability to have four cameras that’s priceless in an RV and the DVD player built-in so it can connect to the one in the dash makes it really convenient so if you’re looking for a radio with almost all the bells and whistles this would be a great choice!

After a couple of issues on initial deck install, bestBuy more that made it right.
Great customer service and profesional, efficient installation.
Great job!
The Kenwood Mirror App for iPhone is beyond horrible. Don't buy this unit if that is what you're going for. Otherwise it is a good unit with great fidelity.
The only thing this unit is missing and could really use is wireless CarPlay and Android Auto.
Pros:
Clear bright screen visible in a convertible with the top down at noon.
Responsive touch control.
Most controls and settings are easy to access and function as expected.
Great audio fidelity.
Cons:
Clunky, dated interface.
No wireless car play or Android auto.
Mirror app is rarely updated and does not function.
No knob for volume.
At the end of the day, I'd prefer less gimmicks that don't work like screen mirroring and more quality in the engineering and software.

I bought this stereo on the recommendation of Travis the service technician who put it in our vehicle . He was spot on about the sound quality and the ease of operation . We can use the stereo while navigating to a location. I am very pleased with this purchase and can recommend this product and also the auto installation department in the Owasso store !!

This wasn't the original radio I had went with. The installation parts that was ordered by Best Buy was wrong but I was shown how the mistake happened. I didn't knock the person that placed the order because I understood how it happened. I could have waited for the correct parts to come in but decided to go with this, which worked with the parts that were ordered. I couldn't be happier with it. I'm kinda glad for the mistake.
