Camera was much worse. Xtra antenna box on dash, extra mic in my face on headliner and cable hanging out of dash. NEVER AGAIN!!

Getting correct parts to install a nightmare!

Best Buy is really struggling to give quality service but is adversely impacted due to COVID-19. Difficult times! I won't have a chance to use the system for another 20 days.

I like the HD radio because there are few if any commercials. The unit I replaced had HD Radio. This is a nice unit but I feel cheated

Out of the blue I got a faulty wiring mesaage that blocks all sound from unit. It was a very common issue addressed online that was refused to be resolved by Kenwood/JVC. I attempted to problem solve calling Kenwood/ JVC (absolutely worthless) and again looking online for a fix. It was clearly a software issue as I had changed vehicles/ harness / fuse and even updated software. I just barely fell out of warranty so Kenwood played that card even though it was indeed a software issue. When purchased this unit was $800+ dollars. My convo ended with I will never buy another product from Kenwood/ JVC again after such a shady issue and they encouraged me to buy a different brand radio. Lastly wanted me to pay to send in their radio, pay to fix it and resale it to pay the stereo that I now have to buy... STAY AWAY FROM KENWOOD/ JVC STEREOS UNLESS YOU WANT A VERY EXPENSIVE PAPER WEIGHT AFTER A YEAR OF USE!!!

No Remote Control Included

However, there is an app for your phone that you can use, and/or you can purchase a compatible genuine Kenwood remote control from one of several vendors online. Just Google it. I only gave 4 stars because I haven't had it installed yet, but I wanted to warn others about the remote control issue.

Free installation - When..??
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this for Christmas 2019, and waiting to take my vehicle out of storage for the "free" install. (I realize that there will be other costs for other parts needed to complete.). I did a lot of research on the radio and decided that this is the one, so I give the radio 5 STARS. Now "I" have to figure out how to install this myself, thank god for YouTube and the internet. Not happy..!!! I know that the virus has disrupted everything, but they should allow a person to drop off a vehicle for the install, no contact, call it curbside drop off. No notice if they will ever start up again. Best Buy owes me a huge discount on some future purchase. The web sight is not that good when looking for help. Try calling, that's funny.

Traffic and Fuel apps need work

Traffic and Fuel apps only connect about 20% of the time. The bluetooth connects to my phone properly, but the apps do not. Sitting in unreported traffic if very frustrating with a $600 unit.
