I like this product easy to use .Great camera for beginners!

This is no good After one use. 2/3 days need to reset the video card & go off

It needs to be connected to the car charger to power on. I would return it but I lost the receipt. Don’t buy it!

Not a good camera, 4K quality looks like an expanded 1080 footage, just because its the right size or says 4K doesn't mean its good quality.

Very difficult to use and connect to your phone. Not user friendly

It's a good unit, 4K and excellent resolution. It comes with all connectors and CPL filter. Paired with a back up camera and used as dual channel, the back camera generates it's own files. GPS enabled that displays coordinates and speed among others. My main gripe however, the file format that this dash cam generates are behind times and it uses the bulky and humongous video encoding .MOV instead of the new standard video compression and highly efficient H265. One minute run on this dash cam @4K produces at least 450 megabytes-size file. Think of an hour! A bit of a plus, it comes free with 64Gb micro SD.

Enjoyed the 4K high definition. Camera will not capture license plates of on-coming traffic at 35 mph, but I have yet to find the dash cam that can. Night video blacks out past the curb line, I wish it captured deeper off road. View was a little too fish eyed and bent down at the edges of the video, cars look too far away. I would have kept this camera if the free downloaded Kenwood software package had worked. It looks to be awesome software, providing a cool google like map that tracks your location on playback with GPS, speed and zoom (I most want a zoom), as the larger screen should show play back. While the rest of the screen worked, I never got the video playback to go; all green screen. Best Buy Geek Squad could not get it either; no support available from Kenwood. Item returned.

Used for 2 years and stopped working. Black screen, unable to upload firmware, reset button does not work. I called Kenwood customer support to get additional support to resolve the issue because the features on this camera are great but they told me to buy a new one since there were no parts to fix it. Now I am afraid that the other Kenwood/JVC products that I have probably will fail soon.

Good while it lasted. Had this dash cam for about a year. Out of the box and for about the next 1`2 months, the camera worked great. G-sensor and parking sensor worked great. Video quality was good and fairly easy to use the phone app. Then I was hit by a car. Thankfully, I was alright but my truck was totaled. Thought to myself, "at least I've got dash cam footage to show the police what took place." Wrong. Tried to download the files from the memory card only find that not a single second of the accident had been recorded and it turns out that the device hadn't been recording anything for the past few weeks. LED light indicated that it was powered on and charging (or charged). The one time I actually needed this to function, it failed. As of now, the device will only power up after unplugging and plugging it back into the cigarette lighter. The unit only stays on for about a minute. Nothing is being recorded. I know that virtually all consumer electronics are cheaply made, disposable, and expensive to purchase. I've come to accept this. However, when a device can't even perform the singular job it was designed for, I take offense. This device had one job to do and it 100% failed. I will never again purchase a Kenwood product.

Nice image quality and very clear screen. The only thing I think could be better is the installation kit, some what limited angles mobility

I wanted to really like this product but due to the fact that the screen went out completely after 10 months coupled with the terrible JVC/Kenwood app that was so disappointing those major issues factor into my 1 star review. Save your money people. I bought this dash cam brand new from Best Buy as well.

Just stopped working, no direct cause. Looking for a solution led to many others with the same issue and no solution. I would not recommend..

My first unit worked for about 3 months, then it started booting up to the setup menu every morning I started the car. Then it got to a point where it wouldn’t show anything on the screen. I sent it to Kenwood for repair, a replacement unit was sent back. That unit worked for about 1 month, then the same thing, boots up to the setup screen every morning. It has not gotten to the non-responsive point yet, but I’ve tracked I removed and replaced it with a Garmin. This unit is junk, do not buy one! For the price, many better features are available on many other units. Spend your money wisely.
