Customers are saying

Customers highly value the DRV-A601W 4K Dash Cam's video quality and ease of use, with many praising its clear recordings and user-friendly interface. However, some users experienced issues with the product's reliability, including instances of the device unexpectedly shutting down and problems with the screen and app functionality. The camera's GPS features and night vision capabilities also received positive feedback. While some appreciated the compact size, others found the screen too small.

Everything was fine good quality videos , gods accessibility. But after year and half is not working no more. Is only one year warranty …. Very expensive product that last less than 2 years working

Read the reviews before I purchased and there were a lot of sub 3 reviews which made me skeptical. I feel bad for the people who had a bad experience with this camera for whatever reason but my experience is awesome. Plug and Play! Yes you do have to set today’s date and your time zone but after that it does everything by itself. I installed the camera loosely because I didn’t know if I was going to keep it. My first road trip about 2 hours in I hit a pot hole and blew my tire out. A few days later I remembered I had the dash cam and went to review the footage. The loop files didn’t have anything but the secured files had recognized the impact and stored the few minutes before and after in a file so it wouldn’t write over it. Quality is excellent ( don’t forget to peel the lens plastic off).

I purchased this product as an upgrade over 1080p street guardian. I have not exprienced the negative issues that some of the other posters have mentioned. It was hard to find any information about this camera online except for the Kenwood website. Even there I couldn`t determine the type of processor that was being used. I had $200 in gift cards and the camera was onsale so I figured I`d give it a shot. As far as video clarity in daylight I am completely satisfied. Details are sharp and clear. The area where this camera fails horribly is in it`s ability after the sun goes down. I`ve had previous dashcams that utilised the Sony Starvis hardware for their night vision enhancement. As stated earlier it`s impossible to find out what type of hardware is being used in this camera. For what I ended up paying out of pocket I think it`s an average cam. Software for your PC is a nice touch. If nighttime picture matters to you I would definately look elsewhere as it`s almost nonexistent.

Video quality is very nice. It creates videos of 3 mins and overwrites the oldest one once the memory is full. A video can be marked as protected so that it is never deleted or overwritten. Only drawback is with the issue with syncing with mobile. It takes a long time to sync to mobile and then also the connections keep on dropping.

Just wish the screen was a little bit bigger, and then buttons is little hard to push. Overall for the price can beat that. Kenwood great product.

This is great for short trips. The picture is decent and will get the job done but nothing else. It records in 3 minute increments and will continue to do 3 minute increments until you tell it to stop. The app is poor and poorly made. I only used it for 2 days and got fed up with it.

Recently upgraded to this from the A301W. Excellent video and functions pretty much the same. My only complaints is the lack of actual buttons and the g sensor is still to sensitive.

Camera works great automatically records when vehicle is bumped, records as your driving and has the ability to record rear view when camera is connected. I purchased the wiring harness and wired directly to truck so camera always has power when needed.

Picture quality is good easy to setup compatible with rear camera so basically you could add a rear view camera to it compare to a none 4K dash-cam I give it 4 stars because the power output on top is loose when plugged in and comes on and off on bump’s.

I've had this product for 3 - 4 weeks. It was easy to setup, the video display is amazingly sharp compared to a 4 year old DashCam that I have used. I've not attempted to view the recorded video on the memory micro SD card.

Did take a little time to understand how it works in terms of viewing on phone and pc. Unless I missed it, I wish there was a way on the phone to stop recording so that it links automatically. I found the buttons on back of unit do not respond quickly - maybe they are just too small for my fingers. Once linked you have all you need for phone viewing. For pc viewings you download an app and view it that way when you bring your microSD card to the pc. The unit works fantastic and I do recommend to people.

The clarity and rear camera functionality is a plus. The wireless app doesn’t help and needs a lot of catching up to support the camera.
