I was needing a little extra bass and this subwoofer gave me that and then some! I think the ported box I purchased also helped out! Great buy especially for the price I got it for!! A good benchmark to test bass is the song “Japanese stutter” can’t see through my rear view mirror with all that bass

Used to replace dead home sub

I got this sub for cheap (half price) and stuck it in the Athena box with a Dayton Audio SPA250 250 Watt Subwoofer Plate Amplifier. Gives a good punch and rumble and it fills the room. Only using it for music in my basement.

They handle the power i put them through. I wanna give them more power but i have to respect the power they can only handle.

Surprisingly good tone at any volume

The lows hit and hold tone without distorting. I can’t really push these with the amplifier I bought but I’m setting this up so me and anyone in the vehicle can enjoy music in all the frequencies. They are built well and see these lasting decades, just like the ones they are replacing.

Great subwoofer for the price

Replaced an even cheaper Dual Subwoofer. Huge improvement even though the wattage is about the same. I am considering building a box based on the recommended specs for a ported box. The box I have is ok, but some lower frequencies are quiet. Overall so far it seemed to be an excellent value.

Using this with 1000W Amp and bass fills the car well without being overwhelming. Would suggest using ported box or a little larger airspace box for better sound. I got it on sale which makes it an amazing value, for the retail price there are better speakers.

Only con is that it lasted just over 13 months when I started experiencing issues with. The price $$$ is good but add a little more money and get the next best thing.

Not gonna win any SPL competitions but for an everyday driver it works wonderfully. Also it doesn’t need a whole lot of power to push it so the amp choice isn’t gonna break the bank.
