Was not happy with this buy at all. Sounded like a transistor radio. Even with an equalizer, i couldn't get the right sound.

I bought these because they were relatively cheap. I should have waited and spent more money. They are not a good factory replacement, not a big enough sound difference.

Terrible speakers! If you want low end audio, then look no further. There speakers were garbage and provided very little clarity or bass. I understand they are "road series" but for the price point I expected a little more from them. Definitely wouldn't put in my next vehicle.

I installed these in our 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 in February of 2020. They started sounding terrible by November of 2020. I don't know if it is the paper cones or what, but the sound is awful. I have since removed them and replaced them with Kicker speakers of the same size. I do not recommend these as a future purchase for any vehicle.

We purchased for my girlfriends daughters car as a birthday gift. Took us a minute to install but these sound like they came with an am radio in my ford escort I got when I started driving. I don’t know WHO all of these people are who wrote such good reviews about these speakers are. These aren’t worth the drive we made to pick them up at Best Buy. And of course they are “no longer returnable” (2 week return window Best Buy??? REALLY”???) so we are stuck with them. COMPLETELY disappointed with the product AND Best Buy.

I love these speakers. They are miles ahead of what everyday factory speakers are going to be. I have a single din JVC aftermarket head unit that has 4 channels and pushes 54w (max) to each channel. These speakers paired with this unit and tuned to how I like it are a great match! Let's get into the specifics of what I like and what I don't like. BASS Pro: The bass coming from these are exceptional. It is very nice rich and deep. It is also very accurate and hits very fast. The lows are unexpectedly incredible. Con: You cannot push too much bass to these speakers. With these being 3way, the mids and the highs shake like crazy and causes distortion. There's no way to get around it other than trying to find a happy medium. If you want better sound, you'll either need to step up to a quality 2 way or component speaker that includes a separate tweeter. MIDS Pro: The mids are actually pretty good. There's not much that I can say about how good they are really. Again, I came from 16yr old factory speakers and while I've had the pleasure of playing with multiple friends speakers, these are pleasantly nice when it comes to mids. Con: If you don't have a aftermarket radio that is going to allow you to adjust mid tones, good luck getting this speaker to do what you want. You will HAVE to be able to adjust mid tones in order to get this speaker to sound at its best. However, if you do not have a aftermarket radio, this speak will still produce way better than your factory setup. HIGHS Pro: Now, for me, highs are VERY important. The highs that come from these are REALLY clean. I have 3.5in SKAR TX35 in my dash and the tweeter on those things are already seriously good. With these speakers added in, I had no choice but turn my treble down. Con: I noticed a very very slight tinny sound. It wasn't crazy, but just enough that I could tell it was there. However, after riding around for even a few min and shuffling through my songs, I quickly forgot all about it. MATERIALS and DESIGN The frame of the speaker is metal. The magnet on these are what I would consider to be standard size for mid-range speakers. It is not a shallow mountable speaker so don't expect to be putting these in places like most doors unless your door already has a 6x9 there. You will possibly need a spacer bracket for these if mounting in most doors. The cone is made of cloth. Cloth is a lot more durable than paper when coated with the right material. It makes it a long lasting material and you should easily get many years out of these. The housing for the mid/tweeter speakers are plastic. This lightens the speaker while allowing it to absorb some vibration from the bass and forgive some of the rattling. The tweeter is made of ceramic. Ceramic isn't the best material to be using on tweeters. It can produce a tin sound very easily. However, these are, again, mid-range speakers and with the ceramic there still isn't a lot of tin sound coming from these tweeters, its very controllable with adjusting your treble down just a bit. CONCLUSION Overall, these speakers are exceptional. With the price point they are currently set at ( I bought mine for $44.99) they are a real bargain. If you can find them cheaper, grab them for sure, you won't be disappointed as long as you know that you aren't getting competition speakers for that price. I would highly recommend these speakers as replacements to any stock speakers any day of the week.
