Got this sofa for my loft space, works perfectly with our layout with its low profile and wide spread. The cushions expand almost immediately when you open the plastic seal but directions say wait 2 hours. There was no noticable smell, the interior material is firm and durable. The exterior material is soft but also durable. We have it against a wall so the pillows allow for more support on top that way. Its great quality. Its ideal for laying down on and having guests sleepover, and was packaged very well, able to fit up any stairwell or through any doorway while packaged, and they wre lightweight. Two people would be needed to carry each package with ease. Comes in two packages. The back is low for tall people so if you’re looking for something with solid upper back support without a wall to keep it against it may be too low profile for you but it works great in my top floor space with a lower ceiling.
