I believe that the mechanism for the pod side of the machine reduces the stress on the structure and is more robust. This is my third Kurig machine since their release and i am not disappointed.

Being able to do a pot or a single makes a huge difference. One thing, for some reason the tank measures cups in 5oz increments. It has a 60oz tank that it claims is 12 cups. Keep that in mind when you're trying to measure your coffee pots. If it says 1.5tbsp per 6oz of water, be aware that 8 cups on the tank is actually 40oz, not 48. Still, awesome rig, love that it has a "strong" setting.
