It doesn't have the option to stay powered on full time like my old brewer did (this one auto shuts off after 5 mins). Nice energy saving feature but can be a bit of an inconvenience IMO. It powers up quickly though.

But great unit. I love the reservoir so you don't have to fill everyday!!!
