It has both a k pod side, and a normal carafe side. The water heats up fast, and brews very fast. This is my first coffee maker purchase, and I don't regret spending over $150 for this coffee maker. It does take up a decent amount of counter space, so be aware of the listed dimensions. Otherwise, this is a great unit.

It’s a pain to descale and it doesn’t always register that it did so the “descale” message stays on. Also, the carafe spills all over if you pour too quickly, which seems to be a know issue. That said, if you pour slowly, this is overall a nice dual function coffee maker

We had the power go out and had to do a hard reset... but that was once or twice. The fact that I can make a single cup for me or have a large pot for friends\family is great. Not too big of a footprint but I'd say well worth it.

NEW COFFEE MACHINE

It has been used every day without a problem. We have filtered water on freeze which work great. The single cup is fast I hope it last long time. This was great price with a gift for me to get something else for house.

It works well in the space we have it, and we like it better that our precious one because the water reservoir is squared and not rounding, which then hold a bit more water.
