Both the K cup and the 12 cups can be used at the same time. The twelve cups can be put on a timer and is very quiet and quick

On work days she make the pot of coffee so she can take it with her but on the weekends she doesnt drink that much so the single cup is perfect. She also love the time feature to auto start. Its all ready to go when she gets up in the mornings.

Now we have the option of making a karafe or just a single cup. Its really a perfect solution!
