However, some customers have concerns about the coffee maker's small water reservoir, durability issues, occasional leaks, and instances of it suddenly stopping working.

    Leaky Carafe

Had a single serve K-Cup Brewer and liked it very much, but when we had company and wanted coffee, it wasn't easy to only be able to brew one cup at a time. I bought the Duo 12 Cup and Single Cup Brewer. I thought it was great but have had it a little over 2 months and the 12 cup function is useless. It brews fine but I have to take the 12 cup Carafe to the sink to pour into a cup. It leaks very bad. Looks like it comes from under the plastic (?) top of the Carafe. I find no way to tighten it or take it off. Is there another Carafe I could buy to eliminate this problem. The Single Serve works fine. It has to be leaking around the pour spout area because when you are pouring, there is no coffee at any other area of the lid. Is there a way to be able to tighten it, if that would help?

I was very pleased with this purchase. We have had a very old version of a Keurig for about five years and I’ve been warning an upgrade when we looked into buying this one it seemed as though it was meant to be it’s perfect for when you have more than one person to make a pot of coffee or when it’s just you to make a single cup, I really like that you have choices on the sizes of the single serve cups. we have very much enjoyed this one and I’m so beyond glad for this purchase I would recommend this Keurig to anybody.

We love our new updated Keurig! We have had the single serve for several years but wanted to have the option to make a whole pot too for when we have people over. It is slick and fits nicely on our counter!

For our rent house, we wanted a coffee maker that would satisfy everyone. We seem to have found it in the K-Duo Keurig. It brews a great 12-cup carafe of coffee, with auto shutoff and other good features. Also brews up a single serve K-Cup for those who prefer their own flavor. The unit is compact and sleek and looks good in our kitchen.

We love this combo Keurig machine. For the days we don’t need a pot of coffee we can do single serve and the kids love to make hot chocolate too! We also bought the Keurig pod storage holder and the machine just sits on top.

I purchased this during a recent sale. I was looking to get the best of both worlds - single-serve coffee and a carafe. This definitely fits the bill! The pod side works as expected and the carafe side works even better than my old Mr. Coffee machine! One tip that I can pass on is that I use filtered water from vending machines. I have rarely have had any problems using that water in machines such as this in comparison with using tap water or even mountain spring bottled water. Are there drawbacks? Yes - starting with how big this is. This will take up a lot of counter space, so be warned. I ended up buying a utility rack/cart to put this on. While you could buy the K-Duo Plus to have a smaller footprint, the price I got on this one was too good to pass up. Also, I find it strange that many Keurigs (including this one) asks for more water when there still is some in the reservoir and the internal tank. Which brings up another question - how do you empty the internal tank? I might want to do so if I don't plan on using the machine for a period of time, but there is no obvious way to do so for this model. Overall, this is a great machine if you are looking for both features!

Makes a great single serve cup of coffee — brew comes out nice and STEAMING hot — hotter than my previous Keurig. Carafe brews a good, hot pot of coffee, too — great for groups, and you can re-heat the pot just by pressing and holding the carafe button on the top. It would be nice if the LED display with the clock was tilted and elevated toward the front of the device so users can see it without looking directly over the coffee maker. Also, despite the marketing photos (and the picture on the box), this coffee maker does not come with a measuring scoop — but, hey, you're probably going to grab a big spoon out of the drawer anyway, so you won't miss it. If you're trying to decide between this and another Keurig maker, go with this one. You won't regret it.

My first single cup brewer lasted about 7 years through daily use. So I decided to stick with Kerig but wanted the ability to brew an entire pot for cold weekend mornings for my wife and I. This picks right up where my old brewer left off. The perfect cup every time. Also the heating plate keeps the coffee pot hot ! The brewing pump works great but isnt the most quiet. I caught this on sale for $50 off, which makes it not much more than single serve brewers. Overall this Keurig brewer is great and if want the option to brew an entire pot for the family this is one is for you.

My wife loves the single serve while I love to make a pot of coffee. This definitely served both of our needs. There’s even an option for it to make a pot of coffee at a certain time so it’s ready for you when you wake up!

Overall this is a very good unit. I use the individual Keurig single serve pods 99% of the time and it is perfect. The 12 cup carafe is not a true 12 cup. I have never been able to get it to release 12 cups of water from the reservoir to the carafe. It seems to be 2 cups off with the 12 cup & the 10 cup setting. If you want 10 cups, you have to select the 12 cup setting because the 10 cup setting will only give you 8 cups. I have a friend who has this same coffee maker & it does the same thing. This is not a deal breaker for me, but for someone with a large family that needs 12 cups of coffee you might not be happy.

Thank you for your feedback. One cup of coffee is actually measured at 5 ounces. This is the standard measurement in drip coffee makers. We hope this helps! KeurigCare

I am glad Keurig finally has a dual coffee maker! The single serve is great for the weekdays when I am on the go. The carafe is nice on the weekends or when guests are over. I wish that the warmer would stay on longer than 2 hours though. That is the only downside. However, you can turn it back on by holding the carafe button a few seconds.

Very happy with my new Keurig K Duo Coffee Maker with its Single Serve Brewer. It's very nice looking, easy to clean, efficient and easy to use. I love the ability to brew a full pot of coffee when the occasion calls for it and I love my two single-serves each morning. To have them both in the same appliance is "genius."

I've wanted a single serve coffee maker for a while. The Black Friday sale price was excellent, so finally made the purchase. I loved the option of brewing either a single serve, or a full pot. I dont like the waste of the K-cups, so made an additinal purchase of 3 refill pods. Once I read the manual and familiarized myself with the functions, it was simple to use. Also appreciate the strong brew setting. Very satisfied with this coffee maker.
