    Great Buy!

I purchased this during a recent sale. I was looking to get the best of both worlds - single-serve coffee and a carafe. This definitely fits the bill! The pod side works as expected and the carafe side works even better than my old Mr. Coffee machine! One tip that I can pass on is that I use filtered water from vending machines. I have rarely have had any problems using that water in machines such as this in comparison with using tap water or even mountain spring bottled water. Are there drawbacks? Yes - starting with how big this is. This will take up a lot of counter space, so be warned. I ended up buying a utility rack/cart to put this on. While you could buy the K-Duo Plus to have a smaller footprint, the price I got on this one was too good to pass up. Also, I find it strange that many Keurigs (including this one) asks for more water when there still is some in the reservoir and the internal tank. Which brings up another question - how do you empty the internal tank? I might want to do so if I don't plan on using the machine for a period of time, but there is no obvious way to do so for this model. Overall, this is a great machine if you are looking for both features!

We bought this to replace our previous Keurig-K-Duo 12 Cup Coffee Maker and Single Serve K-Cup Brewer. We are disappointed to see that the water reservoir is not clearly marked in black as the replaced same older model. The carafe works a little better in that no spill occurs when pouring. The older model had issues if you tried to pour too quickly coffee would drip down the pot rather than into your cup. Everything works fine, I would have given 5 stars if the lettering on the reservoir was in black rather than just etched lettering in the plastic.

Overall this is a very good unit. I use the individual Keurig single serve pods 99% of the time and it is perfect. The 12 cup carafe is not a true 12 cup. I have never been able to get it to release 12 cups of water from the reservoir to the carafe. It seems to be 2 cups off with the 12 cup & the 10 cup setting. If you want 10 cups, you have to select the 12 cup setting because the 10 cup setting will only give you 8 cups. I have a friend who has this same coffee maker & it does the same thing. This is not a deal breaker for me, but for someone with a large family that needs 12 cups of coffee you might not be happy.

Thank you for your feedback. One cup of coffee is actually measured at 5 ounces. This is the standard measurement in drip coffee makers. We hope this helps! KeurigCare

Love the coffee maker…not the carafe!

I absolutely love this coffee maker. There have been many improvements to the K-cup side of the coffee maker. However, within 2 months of owning it, and taking very good care of it, the carafe began leaking around the plastic upper part where it is sealed to the glass. I contacted Keurig and learned the carafe is considered an accessory and not covered by the warranty. So I was sent a link where I can purchase an additional carafe for $19.99. I honestly believe that a free carafe should be provided given the short time I have owned it. If you have a sink close by and you can pour your coffee over it, then I would recommend this machine. Nothing seems to be made perfectly these days. Nothing is made to last many years. It’s still a great coffee maker, it’s just messy!

    Best of both worlds

My wife and I have been longtime keurig users and this will be our third keurig machine that we’ve owned. As expected, it works flawlessly and gives us the flexibility of brewing a full carafe or using our traditional k-cups. The biggest “complaints” I have are in regards to the water reservoir. First, this model does not come with the short stem for the carbon water filter but does have the ability to attach one. So you have to buy that from a third party if you want to refill with tap water. Second, the reservoir is too small. I’m drinking one cup a day and between the two of us we’re refilling the reservoir at least every other day. It isn’t the end of the world but it is a minor inconvenience to have to refill it so frequently. Unfortunately all of the keurig models have gotten smaller reservoirs over the years.

It’s a Keurig and it does do the job of f brewing a pretty decent cup of coffee. Coming from an older Elite series when that one finally but the dust after a few years, I find this model in a love/hate relationship. It seems that I always get stuck with filling the darn thing so it was pleasant to find that the capacity was the same but in a friendly form factor for filling from the fridge. The drawback is that the reservoir is on the back of the unit so it is a little more effort to take it off to fill it. Secondly, the button placement to brew a single serve requires the same dexterity as a concert pianist. Select K-cup, select strong, select cup size, and then hit brew. It’s all over the place. Also, as others have said, the printing on the pot is in the wrong side. Not that you can get more than a six cup brew and an 8 oz single serve prior to the water running out.

Works great just as advertised. The water reservoir is too small to fill the 12 cup carafe completely when brewing a full pot of coffee.

Works great, been using every day. Only annoyance is the water location. I leave it tucked under a counter so it has to be dragged out for each fill.

LOVE this coffee maker! It’s so easy to use and maintain. I wish the water reservoir was a little bit bigger but The trade-off is that I can make a full pot of coffee in addition to making individual cups so I don’t mind that much.

Have only owned it for a month or so, but so far so good. Both sides work great so far. Nice to have a carafe In the morning and then a single cup in the afternoon. Very convenient. Nice that both sides use the same water reservoir but I wish the reservoir was a little larger.

My roommate likes to make pots of coffee, and I like Kcup pods. This item was a no brainer, and we both use it daily. Love this thing! Only wish the water tank was a bit bigger, but that didn't stop me from giving this 5 stars.

We bought this coming from a Keurig K-Cafe machine previously. I prefer this machine over every iteration of Keurig we've used before. The space under the kpod dispenser is actually taller. It will fit a full 30oz yeti underneath without any wedging, as long as you remove the coffee catcher. The water tank on the back is a bit unwieldy to carry to the sink to fill. It seems much easier to just use a measuring glass to refill the tank. I use the actual pot a lot less than we had expected, although it is a nice function to have access to. The machine brews quite well, and I expect us to be using it for a long time.

Does what’s advertised. Water tank is awkward to fill and place, and the coffee pot design has me scratching my head. It’s really hard to pour with out spilling. Maybe a user problem. All in all I would recommend.

Works well overall, but the removable water tank is awkwardly placed in the back of the machine. Much easier to just get a pitcher and pour the water in than to wrestle getting the filled tank back in place without spilling it. Also, I wish it came with an insert for the single-cup side so you can use your own coffee instead of those ecologically wasteful pods. I know you can buy the insert separately and I may do that.

We have been happy with the coffee brewed using the Keurig K-Duo, however brewing/noise is rather loud. Also, it was difficult to find a water filter starter kit. Had to order. Disappointed that it was not included with the Brewer.

Works great! Good coffee. Having the ability to make coffee via a full 12 cup carafe or pod is very handy. Cons: smaller water reservoir than other keurigs, can't set a recurring schedule for the carafe (has to be set every day), the carafe heat plate only stays on for 2 hours. I drink coffee for roughly 4-5 hours so I end up having to cycle the machine off/on to keep the coffee hot.
