Leaky Carafe
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a single serve K-Cup Brewer and liked it very much, but when we had company and wanted coffee, it wasn't easy to only be able to brew one cup at a time. I bought the Duo 12 Cup and Single Cup Brewer. I thought it was great but have had it a little over 2 months and the 12 cup function is useless. It brews fine but I have to take the 12 cup Carafe to the sink to pour into a cup. It leaks very bad. Looks like it comes from under the plastic (?) top of the Carafe. I find no way to tighten it or take it off. Is there another Carafe I could buy to eliminate this problem. The Single Serve works fine. It has to be leaking around the pour spout area because when you are pouring, there is no coffee at any other area of the lid. Is there a way to be able to tighten it, if that would help?

Don’t waste your money.
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have had this coffee machine since September. It has been a headache. It often does not brew proper amount of coffee. I will select 8 cups and this is my end result as shown in the picture. We have cleaned it once a week and it will brew a small amount and then just stop. Very disappointed in this product.

Almost a perfect idea...
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After being a dedicated Cuisinart owner we switched to Keurig for the need for multiple coffee tastes and not multiple carafes. we've had this since 11/23 and I think we are stuck with it. Some observations from serious coffee drinkers. Pluses: Owner registration is easy. The machine is cleanly designed. Smallish counter footprint. Reasonably simple to navigate for programming etc. Capacity selection is nice. Clear plastic water tank nice. Removable single-cup plate for large cups. Cons: Coffee NEVER hot enough certainly NOT over 190 degrees for a perfect brew. Carafe pouring spout needs a redesign, too flat and ALWAYS spills out on the counter. Yeah, we're careful... CANNOT keep, or turn back on the heating plate. Heating pad does not maintain needed heat for a full carafe Black power cord, could be white or have THAT as an option see photo. I do not know of any kitchen walls that are black. It would be a nice addition for the homeowner. A 'brewing completed & shut off' audible beep (or like) would be nice. Cuisinart does this. Very very noisy brewing pump etc. For the money spent, this machine should at least deliver HOT COFFEE. Guess we're stuck with it.

Carafe leaks like a bucket full of holes
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Carafe, from day one, dribbles and leaks at the pour spout. Doesn’t matter if you pour fast, slow, open the lid or close it. We have to keep a dish towel under the counter or pour over the sink. Water canister cracked near the top within a month. Contacted Keurig and they want me to talk to someone over the phone. Don’t list an email service choice if you’re only going to direct me to a third-party call center. The Keurig pod features work well, as does the regular brewer. Both offer multiple sizes and brew quickly. The best I can give this is 2 stars. Would not recommend.

Electronic & Control Issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really hate to give this Keurig a bad review and I returned the first one and got a new one in hopes I just got a bad one, but no such luck. We got this K-Duo because our vacation rental had it last year and it was great. The first one I bought from the moment I plugged it in the "descale" light was on and could not be reset, nor would it make a pot of coffee. I tried everything to reset but it would not fix itself. I returned and bought the same model, thinking I got a bad one. The second one also had issues, while it made great coffee the AUTO BREW would not work and in our house we use the AUTO BREW feature every morning so we come down to a fresh pot of coffee already brewed. This one refused to AUTO BREW, I did everything right, I even watched several videos thinking it must be me, but nope it flat out will not work on the AUTO timer. I didn't want to give it a one-star review because it does make great coffee, but it seems it is riddled with electronic control problems. If Keurig can fix these control issues they'd have an awesome product.

Not Ready for prime time
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tricky to set up a timer for the decanter, If you want to change the time that it makes, that’s easy, you have to literally kill the power to the coffee maker to change the amount it makes say 8,10 or 12 cups. NO MATTER WHAT OR HOW YOU POUR THE DECANTER LEAKS WHEN YOU POUR. The kcup portion works fine as expected. Beware this unit takes up a lot of counter space. We bought this unit to replace a Kcup maker and a regular coffee maker. So in our case we did save a little counter space. There is also no way to make the burner plate turn on or extend the time without actually making more coffee. If your primary mission is to make pots of coffee and use an occasional Kcup this is not for you. All in all wish we would have just stayed with 2 different units.

Keurig cannot supply parts
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After around 3 months of use, the carafe simply shattered. Keurig has NONE in stock, which has persisted for over a month. They have no idea when they will have them !!! BAD DESIGN of carafe causes coffee to leak onto counter when pouring. BAD DESIGN of carafe apparently causes them to break quite easily. HORRIBLE Keurig customer service promises customer care will call you back -- but that NEVER happens.

High Hopes and Disappointment
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well. I had high hopes. But the flaws with this machine are glaring. 1. You can not pour a cup carefully enough to keep it from leaking all over you counter. 2. If you do not seat the pot perfectly you will get a coffee flood all over the place. I have had the machine a month and this has happened twice. 3. It doesn’t hold enough water. 4. You can’t get the pot clean without using extreme measures. This is the oddest thing about it. I would not purchase this machine again and regret this purchase.

Nice machine, poor carafe design.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having the option of choosing between the carafe and a K-cup is nice, especially when I'm wanting to make enough for guests. The carafe itself, however, is not very good. If you have more than a few cups of coffee inside it, it'll leak down the side when you try to pour the coffee into a cup. I often have to compensate by making more coffee than needed since a good amount pours down the side (no matter how slow I pour it).

Title?
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.we received this months ago and have not been able to use it. there is a place for a filter but filter equipment dos not come with the unit. i called Keurig and was told i had to have the serial number which was at the ranch. i was finally about to get the serial number and was told there was no filter for the unit. i have well water that is filtered but i am not there often and need a filter. the information available when the unit was ordered does not mention any of this. This indicates to me that Keurig has no concern about their customers only sales. We have 5 different Keurig coffee makers that we like and use at different places and purchase other coffee makers as gifts often. i guess not it is time to change brands for all future purchases.

Second Keurig that died in less than a month
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's really hard to give this a fair review since my experience is tainted. Bought the new Keurig that punches 5 holes into the K-cup from QVC in October, by January, it was dead, along with almost everyone else on there that bought it as well. So, after my classic Keurig died in April, 2020 (Q usually has an outstanding version and price and it used to be worth the wait), and thus I waited to order. When that one died, I decided to come to Best Buy and find another. Unfortunately, I did not have the great experience this maker has provided to other purchasers. Mine had an electrical short somewhere which you could not only smell throughout the house, but you could taste it in the coffee as well. But, the main reason I disliked it was what I was concerned about prior to purchase anyway, burn possibility aside. The grounds for the coffee pot just are not brewed long enough for the grounds to actually provide flavor to the pot. Normally, I use 2 scoops per cup but with this machine, I had to use 3. That's normally because either the pot is dying, like in a percolator, or it just isn't brewing hot enough or long enough, like with this Keurig. So, I returned this and am getting a percolator, a water kettle, and the new French press makers with the filters and giving up my Keurig. I like the speed but like another reviewer said, your coffee is still going through a plastic tube in one of these and it WILL always affect the taste of the coffee, no matter how they try to make it BPA free, etc. You can't beat stainless steel and Best Buy has a great selection. Thanks too to Best Buy - probably the most outstanding company now for customer service and selection! I will be back to buy more items!

NOT WORTH THE COST- NO FILTERS/NO MESH BASKET
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Going back! First, it does NOT come w/water filter or even the coffee filters/mesh basket. You have to purchase them. Last, and MOST important, the coffee grinds spill over the coffee filter regardless of filter or basket used despite using same amt of coffee I have used in previous coffee makers.

Don't bother
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been barely a month and it already doesn't work properly. The k-cup portion: you turn it on, press the k-cup, then the oz and then start. I've done it four times and it won't work. This has happened on many occasions. Will be returning.

Wish it was better
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loved this until it stopped working. Brought it back in because I had purchased the extended warranty to get a replacement, got it home and the replacement was broken as well. Took it back and got a full refund. Will not waste my money again. So upset that it isn’t working as intended, love the whole pot or single cup options.

Fancy and Nice Design - But Not the Greatest Unit
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like really strong coffee, and use 1 high rounded tablespoon of grounds per cup, making only 6 at a time. So, I can not imagine making 12 cups in this maker; the basket is just too small. Putting 12 tablespoons in the basket would make it overflow ... The Cup and Ounce increments start at 6, so there's NO 4 cup option for the carafe, or 4 ounce option for the single cup brewer, which I prefer, and that is NOT GOOD, as the coffee comes out just TOO weak, even using the STRONG mode button. I don't buy K-cups and the unit did not come with the single cup insert for using one's own coffee. The warming burner turns on only after the carafe brewing completes. That's not bad, and it can be preheated by turning the unit on and Holding the Carafe button until the RED light glows, but it turns off once brewing is started. Funny. Although I kinda like this coffee maker, I'm thinking of returning it before the return period expires. Thanks.
