This required two different machines with two separate footprints. This unit is the best of both worlds and allows us to downsize to one appliance.

The pod brewing is an upgrade to the older kurieg brewers. The pods are pierced in 5 spots, for a stronger cup. Very happy with the quality of the brewed coffees.

The pouring spout for the carafe is much improved with no leakage. Also the kcup makes a much better cup of coffee compared with earlier versions of this coffee maker.

On the weekends we live the coffee pot. Easy to use and make delicious brew. During the fast oaced week we urilize the pods! So easy and so fun.
