I live in a 900 sq ft apt. that faces the setting sun.The unit does cool the living area to a more ambient temperature when its 90 degrees outside in the evenings. I use a fan to circulate the air around the rest of the apartment. It seem so far the unit operates as indicated. The machine is heavy to move on carpet as well as has a large hose: both do result in taking up some space. The manual seems complex when reading assembly & operations which is why I give it a 4. I hope I understood the information correctly enough to keep this thing around a few years.

I love it!!! It's so great.keeps the room ice cold.i am very impressed and it takes a lot to impress me. Even though electric company cut usage last couple of days it still is very cold and consistent. So far I haven't had to drain anything and it's been hot and humid and have been using it since I purchased it .of course I only put it on before going to sleep and only have had it running overnight. It even keeps the room cool hours after turning it off I use the timer function and that's great! And love that you can adjust the louvers to your liking .can adjust everything from the remote control ...that's a great thing!!!

I have bought several different brands of the portable air conditioners, and this one so far is the best. Putting these together, I think all of us struggle with the flexible hoses staying connected (attach to one point get it set and then it detaches when you work the other end or when you move the unit). This design actually has a snap in ring collar that saves the frustration. The unit has worked perfectly, is relatively quiet and also has a heating unit (though in PA I doubt I will ever use that feature). I have seen many reviews stating on all the portable air conditioners that they are loud....even the ones I have bought. I have never seen a basis for the complaints, you have the entire unit INSIDE your house so yes, there will be a noise factor. This unit replaced a 15 year old, 13K BTU window air unit and it is no louder than that. If you want whisper quiet, buy a central air set up or one of the ductless air units. This unit offers many nice features and I see no issues for the approximate month its been in operation.

Been using this unit for a few months now and it works great to cool my 600 sf apartment living room & kitchen. It is loud, but not having to empty the condensation pan is great and the room cools quickly. Install was fine, but they don’t supply enough foam to put around the exhaust panel that fits at window. I bought a denser type that seals better.

This product does a good job of removing the humidity in my garage. I live in Florida which can get very humid. The garage is very large, so cooling is good, but will not get it very cold due to size. I wanted a portable in case of a hurricane, so I can move around in the house as needed to run on my generator. Meets my needs.

Quiet unit, but the connections for the hose discharge are horrible. I find the hose is always coming undone if you move it slightly. Also when the unit is running, there is a lot of heat coming off the hose. I was expecting it to cool a bit better than it does. It does the trick for now.

This obviously won't cool an entire house, but I use it in my living room and it works great at keeping the living area, kitchen and even hallway cool. It doesn't make the area drastically cold, but compared to the outside summer heat, this unit makes inside comfortable and cool. Highly recommend this AC. It's not super loud, but yet still powerful.

Was bought for a basement apartment which was way hotter than I thought it would be. Works great the only bad thing is the hose to vent it needs to twice as long as it is.

Cools well but it is a little loud. To be fair, I haven't heard others so this may be normal. (turn the tv up). Here's a tip: This baby pulls a lot of moisture out of the air which helps the cooling so do yourself a favor and stop by Lowes on the way home and get one of their 5 gallon buckets to drop the drain hose into. In about 4 hours it will be half full.

Works really well and cools my whole garage nicely

This Portable unit is being used for a LR, Hallway and small Kitchen about 500 sq ft. It is cooling the area well. Does not reach into bedrooms. May cool up to 700 ft stated If space was all 1 room. About same noice level as window air conditioner. The higher the fan speed, the louder it gets.

This portable AC unit is sturdy and has great features. The only thing I don't like is the window piece for the exhaust because it is cheap plastic and was already cracked when it was delivered.

Needed a cooling unit for about 900sq ft of space. This is rated for up to 700, but with a little help from a couple floor fans, this unit cooled off the area very well.

It cools my bedroom perfectly. Solid performer. No disappointment.

It cools my small (500sq ft) apartment down within minutes. There's no need to really wait for relief. I give it 5 stars because it's big. Otherwise, it's worth the money.

Bought this unit to help cool a large finished basement room. The room is over 500 sq ft and this unit works great.

It is very easy to use and quiet. It cools a 400 square feet though. It does not cool a 700 square foot room as well.

Very pleased with order. It was easy to set up and is performing as advertised.

Very poor packaging allowing the shipping to knock the body of the air conditioner askew from top to bottom - seams no longer stayed together and the air outlet cover would not shut on one side - it looked like a crabbing car. The window kit was completely missing. Whoever they have packaging these has a clear lack of pride and gratefulness for having a job. So, not sure I want them building the stuff on which I spend my money. Easy though to return to Best Buy - just brought it to the store. (don't try calling ahead though, as you'll be on hold forever- in my case 45 minutes with never an answer, and for the first 2 calls the system just hung up on me.)
