    Not top of the line sound, but plenty good for my purposes, and that is in an old Ford Explorer, so lots of noise to overcome.

    Only drawback with these speakers is that on the box they show them with protective covers. Opened the box and there were none.

    I guess they need to be powered by an amp if you want to hear there true potential. I had the set to an aftermarket stereo front an rear an the factory almost sounded better. Couldn't figure out why until i gave them a few extra watts
